  1. For Jeff Not nice enough to sit outside, was cold and windy all day. Good snow conditions, about 3” overnight. Ended up getting new boots at lunch so I missed about an hour of the day but the feel sooooooo much better. Supposed to be another 3-6 tonight into tomorrow. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk

  2. Hey All, I’m back from a fun session at Blue mountain the true mountain. I arrived at th lower lot before 720am and in the house were Johnny Law, JFBBDan, PA Ridge, Atomic Jeff, Toast, NMSki, Indiggio, SaltyAnt, Ryan, Mute, BenM, PSUGuy, Bethlehem ford guy, SliM, Gary, MBIke mike, Enjorales dad, GahSkier George, Nastar Glenn, matt Edge, the dude4Bidea and many more Temperatures were in the upper 50s under clearing sky’s with strong southwesterly winds. First run was challenge which was rough AF..just not smooth and very firm..next run on nightmare dreamweaver was a bit better and Main Street also super rough...paradise was alright and lazy mile wasn’t bad although lots of skeet spots. I skied till about 930 then went to the lot for a beer or two..then back for some more about 45 minutes later. Second seasion skied nightmare to dreamweaver first which was better but still very much in the shade. Over to Main Street and did maybe 15 bumps and they were tight big and firm sort of like the chicks I look at on chatterbait. Finished off with two challenge runs on the left side there was sunshine and it was smooth enough..back to the lot for more beer and cheeseballs...was a nicer weather day then most of out end of the season parties. Still would have been better at the jersey snow dome...no threat of vitamin D..JADIP

  5. Day 2: We decided to start at bear because snow was best there yesterday. 8:sumptin start time as our legs feeling it and crew was banged up from yesterday. 45F ish and snow was soft and flat. Bumps where still set so had to wait to soften. Woods were no longer in play. Took a break at 10:30 (hot chocolate) and we were all decidedly still nicked up from yesterday so decided on low-hanging fruit goal of skiing over to rams head and back. While on lift line at rams head heard someone call us out. Was the 6 Canadian girls staying at same hostel. They asked to ski with us and we like ‘ok’. We headed back to bear and first run apparent they were bunch of ringers arcing turns etc. Collectively they skied Japan, Norway (combined sail surf trip) and heli skied BC back country. . We were ripping back, having fun riffing off of each other’s lines and basically skied as a fun unit. Outer limits was stupid hero snow by afternoon yet superstar was still ice ((slide 30’ at Mach silly until you saw some snow and turned). Anyway, skied until 3 when we felt first rain drops. Girls wanted live music so hung at bear lodge for apres and song. Finished night at hostel chatting bs-ing around the family table. I told them it was like skiing with their Dad’s but no one was buying them dinner (they got a good laugh at that). I’ll miss their stupid accents. Girls and my crew going home today. Rain is here and I’m pretty sure I’m not dropping K$ for today. May hit local library, do some work and try to make a dent in my pile of unread New Yorkers. Awesome 2 days skiing. Winter returns tonight so see what miracles Killy ops can do (?)

  6. I found 80 bucks on the floor of a bar many years ago. Spent it all at the bar, bought my friends drinks the entire night. Found $5 on the floor at BJs today

  7. NM/DW has been pretty good this season..more technical with the skeet spots. Salty I’m glad you keep an extra facemask available in case anybody needs one.

  10. Wow they don’t mess around at these women’s clinics. Skied bell to bell with a short break for lunch. I was able to take my phone out once super quick for a few pics. It they really keep you moving. 3 different instructors said they didn’t like the way my boots fit and after the lesson had me go to the boot doctor near the mountain. The guy was flabbergasted that I had a full size too small. Told him that’s what the boot guy in Boulder does. He is keeping the boots overnight and gonna try and stretch the plastic. We shall see tomorrow. But my feet were absolutely killing me after skiing all day. So if his adjustment doesn’t work I may have to bite the bullet and just buy a new pair. Which sucks cause I just got these last season. But the instructors said the boots were affecting my form so guess maybe I have to. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

  11. Here’s a good article on Big Snow indoor ski area. They’re currently doing about 2,000 skier visits a day and projected to do 500,000 a year a lot of the focus is on teaching new skiers and snowboarders. https://coloradosun.com/2020/01/09/big-snow-new-jersey-ski-industry-indoor/

  12. So over this warm weather. Someone asked me today if I was enjoying the beautiful weather. I wanted to rip her face off.... I know that’s not very nice, just can’t help it.

  14. Sounds like a serious clinic. One where you can really learn something. Every clinic I’ve taken around here spend way too much time stopping mid mountain and chatting, and I feel I’m never in the right ability level.
