Let's face it - Blue is already a zoo if there is snow on the ground and it's a nice weekend day. Epic/Icon passes definitely increase skier volume at the destination resorts and the CO reports where snow is always on the ground, and skiing on the weekend is a giving for a couple million customers. But I think in the poconos...not really sure how many more skiers your are going to attract. I guess you would pull some people away from CB or Shawnee? Maybe if you are a CB pass holder and Blue went Epic, and you fly to Break every year, you might decide to switch to Blue? But if your kid is racing, or you have a house in Tannersville....I don't know, I'm sure it would really effect crowd size. These mega corps buy the feeder hills to lock them into their network for their 1 or 2 annual destination trips. They are essentially buying access to you guys - the season pass holders - and forcing you to choose an Epic/Ikon resort for your fly away trip. I don't think they care if Blue does more or less business.3 points

I’ll add a little evening edition update here. I arrived at the lower lot around 635Pm. It was in the mid 30s with strong westerly winds. In the house were Atomic Jeff, MBike Mike, Nastar Glenn and Matt Edge. With the six pack down there was a couple minute wait for the quad. First run down paradise had deep thick sugar and wasn’t that busy. Lazy mile was full of aggro beginners and similar conditions. The falls was nice. Snowmaking was occurring on nightmare dreamweaver, upper Main Street and a few other spots. Razors and Razorback were open but I didn’t ski it looked chunky. Had a few lot beers and experienced a nice 15 minute long snow squall. Must have snowed a centimeter. All in all not the best conditions but winter is back!!!3 points

I think that might be right near Capitol Hill (surprisingly) and 15. If so, there is an awesome Mexican place called Red Iguana right on Temple.2 points

No. Didn’t want to drive or pay for Telluride. We have a place in mind to backcountry ski, but it’s on a pass and we didn’t want to go with no visibility not knowing the area. Hopefully things will clear up and we will do that a Sunday.2 points

NM to DW. Upper Main and Switchback. Appeared to be great production from time I got there at 930 til when I left at 330. All of the above were closed.1 point

The 6 was not running today. I figured they didn’t want to run it because of high winds. Around 330 lines became a little too long for me, so I left. But I ski mid week, so any line is too long.1 point

No now they close different runs to blow on gotta resurface everything first before they move on to new terrain. They have a plan until you’re in the war room with Ice Echilon and the other snowmakers you don’t know.1 point

Early bird season pass at Blue was $429 I believe them $529 over the summer and early fall and then $629. I honestly don’t care if the price of a season pass goes up a couple hundred at Blue if it were to include other resorts...or even if it was for Blue only..Blue is smart for having economically priced season passes because the people who only ski a few days a month now buy a season pass instead of perhaps buying a few day passes a season.1 point

If it’s not running prepare for some serious liftlines. Amazing what a workhorse the quad has become. I remember the days before the six pack if the quad was down there’d be like a 45 minute liftline for the challenge double. Now we cry like babies when it’s a 5 minute wait and the fickle gates has me doing the Penguin belly slide version of the Limbo..don’t push me when I’m on Razors edge I’m trying not to lose my head ahuh huh huh it’s like a mountain sometimes it makes me wonder how I keep from going under..the gates the gates0 points
