Hey All, I’m back from another fun day at Blue mountain the true mountain. I arrived at the lower lot before 720am and in the house were Atomic Jeff, johnny Law, JFDan, NMSki, Toast, Ryan, Mute, Salty, Nipples, MBike Mike, Mrs Snowbunski, Shadows, Enjorales, Enjorales dad, PSUFlyGuy, West Chester Homeys, Nastar Glenn, Slim and many more. Temperatures were in the 30s under partly to mostly cloudy sky’s. Initially only the quad was running but then the six pack was running at half speed. First run was challenge was pretty decent smooth firm cord, second run on challenge then nightmare to dreamweaver which I thought was sort of rough but no people on it. Lazy mile was smooth until right before the corner and upper Main Street some nice cord..I didn’t ski the bumps but some said they were alright probably better now as it’s in the 40s. Switchback also decent and lower park was progressive...after some nice runs Enjorales did some serious grilling of many fine meats and even quesadillas..was legit...I hungout in the lot till almost 2pm and all the pictures I took were lifestyle shots. Last ski day for me before Jackson hole..see the people who aren’t going to JH in like a week and a half.10 points

When I was a Camelback season passholder, I got a free pass to Camelbeach but never went. I heard all the good bump runs are at Camelback now.2 points

That’s one flight missed and I’ve probaky flown about 80 times in my life. Shit happens when you get drunk the night before and mess up setting alarm. I also overslept for a flight to Denver and drove like 100mph to Newark and parked in short term $38 a day parking cause no time to spare.2 points

The parking lot and lift lines at Blue just got a lot quieter.2 points

I think that is their intention. They did that last year too. I enjoy it.1 point

Honestly with the exception of the 6 pack being closed and the quad stopping here and there...no complaints about tonight, condition wise anyway. Snow was fast and super grippy. No cookies...but I think Dan may have said it in another thread, I dont get their inability to flatten trails out, unless sidewinder is intended to be almost skier across like? Either way was fun.1 point

The big question is if you still had room for pancakes or perhaps croque madame.1 point

Conditions weren't terrible today but not great. I was glad they opened the six even if it was running slow. The various parking lot meats were awesome.1 point

Big Snow Indoor Ski Resort sounds like what somebody would call their cocaine party.1 point

It isn't just the lifts. I'm not a park rat but I have noticed Big Boulder is lagging far behind where they normally are this time of the season in their park build out. They should have features on all their parks, but so far they only have Freedom and a partial build of Tbaum. Hell, they aren't even fully open with only 11/16 trails. That is inexcusable considering how quickly they moved to open historically. It really feels like they're doing the bare minimum. Something is up. This year feels different.1 point

Wow 6th-8th grades we went to Blue Wednesday Thursday or Friday nights depending on the week for about 6 weeks. It was $21 for lift lesson and rental, $19 for lift and rental and $14 just for lift ticket. In 9th grade we went to whiteface with ski club and no ski club in 10th and 11th grades and in 12th grade whiteface again two nights at the Plattsburgh comfort inn and two days skiing at the Olympic mountain was about $200. Due to my photographic memory I remember standing in front of the gym with my Pre M5a’s waiting for the bus...as some rappers say I’m always “early” cause I don’t wanna miss the bus.1 point

If anyone is looking for touring setups, I have a bunch of stuff I'd part with cheap. 188 ski logik bombsquads skied maybe twice with the native graphic with twice used tyrolia adrenaline 16's. 27.5 technica concise pro light tech fitting boots used once.1 point

Sidewinder is amazing today. Crazy what a day open and an inch of rain will do. They didn't flatten the whales out all the way so it's hilly for the length. Lots of fun.1 point

I rode that thing in the rain many years ago, it took like 12 mins to get to the top. The only one worse was the old killy summit chair that was like 20 mins1 point

This year we opted for a private guide and arrived in Ouray a week before the Ice Festival. Kind of nice how quiet it was. Starting our hike in. Our climbing area. My friend Shannon always kills it. My friend Natalie is an incredibly fast climber. Here is me totally stressed that I can hardly keep up with her pace belaying her. The climb out, always feel steep.
