  1. Sunny morning at the bluest and truest mountain in carbon county! The place is empty, the grooming is good, but the snow ranges from firm to sugar depending on when they groomed. Most importantly, the 6pack is running at full speed. Enjoy your day!

  2. Perhaps they stole a part from the quad and taped it into the 6 to get it up to full speed....

  3. Arrived not to long ago. Conditions are Western groomer / carpet like. No snow at all along the roadsides from the Poconos until about 2 miles from the elk entrance where everything's covered in white. Suns out... Guns out. Should be a fun day As you can see it's packed with people here. Lol

  4. Off and on snow showers in the am...Then some kinda bullshit precip that would just freeze on your goggles... Still some chopped up stuff on the sides that was still sorta OK...but God damn was the grooming unreal...Found some bumps that still had loose natural sill on them....

  5. Alta today. On the way there, I was thinking Holy crap, I’m way out of my league here. Snowed most of day, bumps, bowls, my legs were screaming by 2 pm. Took a spectacular fall, but nice and fluffy, so didn’t hurt🙂

  11. Hey All, Its almost another weekend and presidents weekend at that. Is anybody gonna be skiing or riding Blue mountain the true mountain his Saturday or Sunday? Looks like almost a carbon copy of last weekend..chilly with snowmaking cannons cranking on Saturday and almost springlike on Sunday with no rain. Could be good!!!

  12. I just paid to change my plane flight to give me three full days and option for a half day sunday. Looked at the calendar and really didn't see any chances to get far enough north for good skiing, so this seemed wise.

  16. You know, originally I also thought this would be easy. But then, as I sat at the gates furiously trying in vain to get it to read my card, I realized that this would never work since they are opened manually half the time....

  19. Last Friday I saw forecast for northern Vermont. Was in my car an hour later and got into my usual Stowe car camping spot around 3:00am after the last 100 miles being some pretty gnarly roads but subie held true as always. Took a nap and caught chair around 8:00 as Stowe was already packed. First two warm up laps were lift serviced deep in woods skiers left of the nose untracked and cut over cloud burst zone. Quickly realized the upper mountain would be firing while everyone else was too distracted by the lift service terrain. So headed up to the chin, however from the top of the climbing gully to the summit was 50 mph winds at 0 zero degrees. Pretty brutal after not expected that and sweating the whole climb up. It paid off though I was was probably 3rd person down then hour glass chute that day. Waist deep not even scraped at the chute. Then cut over to hell brook trail and I think only 2 beat me to it. Skied back to the gondola and climbed back to the chin however the wind and cold was even wore this time... my cheeks being the only exposed skin turned white. Some first timers I passed just below the ridge I hope they did ok and I didn't sand bag them. Skied The Northern slopes off the chin and only one person beat me to it, skied back into Stowe and cut left went deeper then angel food to find untracked terrain which put me back in the notch again. Then skied classic balls falls which was still impressively untracked at 2:30pm. Then the Bruce trail to the matterhorn for a beer and a bus ride back to the car in the lot. Spent the last two days touring here and I'm not posting any information about it cuz that be a crime. Also to go to take pictures and video.

  20. @GrilledSteezeSandwich Road trip to Stowe??? We can take my private jet on Flight Simulator or carpool with@AtomicSkier. Or we can take separate cars and stay in separate rooms and ski 1 run together on Gondolier and maybe meet up for hot pockets at Piecasso one evening.

  24. Great to ski with Ridge today. He hit a good day...the sun was bright and no fog for a change. Snow was World Cup Firm and Fast, and Ridge took full advantage. He definitely loves speed.. Come back and bring some more of your friends..

  34. Hey All, I’m back from a fun night session at Blue mountain the true mountain. Earlier today it was raining and I feared Blue would close at 4pm but alas they were open from 9-9. I arrived at the lower lot around 630pm and it was around 45 degrees and there was a bus in my parking spot. Atomic Jeff arrived about ten minutes later and off to the quad. The only other PASR in the house was TheDude4Bides who was working on whirlybirds and level 3 stuff. First run Paradise and it was nice..smooth and fast..second run nightmare dreamweaver my first time on it since it became a boardercross course the root rollers aren’t that bad. Upper Main Street was $$$ so smooth a little soft some cushion for the pushing..lower was decent..lazy mile was run of the night was fast and the right hand turn you could ride up on the wall..I felt more G’s than an Oakland hooker on that curve. A couple more nightmare dreamweavers and a few crazy miles..quick parking lot beer and out...not enough people for any lines and snow was soft and fast and not that choppy...MSY mad Steezy yo!!
