Last day, back to Deer Valley. Not sure why you guys hate on this place, it’s actually really nice, and has amazing variety for all ski levels. Went all the way up to Empire Mountain and worked my way across the top. Met up with some other folks from the trip on Flagstaff Mountain, did some runs, then went over to Bald Mtn. for some runs. Did runs at the bottom when we got tired. This was a great trip, Utah is a beautiful place. The weather has been beautiful. Sunny except for Alta day, when it snowed all day. Will definitely return2 points

It’s more expensive than Blue! Why did you even mention this?!2 points

Terrain is similar. Elk has better snow / grooming, less crowded. Blue has much better lifts.2 points

fun nite at race clinic at blue mtn last nite. soft, spring snow conditions were in order. not ideal for racing, but made for some fun mogul skiing. they set a 20-meter gs course for us on widowmaker, and we were focusing on smooth, finessed turns with low to moderate edge angle and forward pressure. even still, the course was severely rutted after two or three times down. half-way through the nite they had us slip the hill and they reset the course. bumps on nightmare were nice, and barney's was fun, but getting some really deep troughs. apres was wings and guinness.2 points

I've had good luck the first weekend in may every time i've been up there. Definitely don't need skins and touring setup, but I'd rather have my skis on the ground for as much of the climb as possible instead of my back. Probably cause I have heavy frame bindings on heavy, wide skis, though. Something 90-100 underfoot with a lighter binding would probably make packing em not nearly as bad. I have yet to actually get to the weather station at the summit, so that's my goal next time. Bowl is fun, but if there's enough coverage in the snowfields up top, that looks like it'd be super fun.2 points

Arrived in the lot at 8:12, 35ish degrees and not a cloud in the sky. Booted up in the lot and headed inside to get my comp pass. No line at guest services however the guy in front of me was trying to get a refund because “there’s not as much snow as the webcams showed”. Ok dude it rained for 3 days, anyway got my pass and headed up B lift. Off B and took bear trap over and skated up to top of Sasquatch. Speed run down Sasquatch back to B and met up with my patroller buddies. Rinse wash repeat this run for a few times and then we decided to hit the park. Took some park runs until about 11 and then headed into trails end for a beer and some fries. $4 land shark 16oz cans, not bad for a resort. Headed back out at 11:30 and lapped the park for the rest of the day. Minimal crowds, jump line was nice however the snow slowed down after lunch. Park setup is nice given the snow situation. Headed out for the day at 3 and all in all it was a fun day. For Bear Creeks sake, they need cold weather and bad. No bare spots to be seen yesterday, however they won’t make it to March if this current weather pattern keeps up. oh and for you NASTAR guys, they seem to be paying extra attention to timberline this year as that seemed to have a good base to it and was fairly fun/fast yesterday.1 point

Nope normally $599 but $499 with season pass from another mountain or for current passholders. Maybe Ski2Live can adopt you and you can get the kids rate but you’ll have to share cocoa with the twins.1 point

they posted a pic on FB of the 6er before it was fixed and he posted something along the lines of "This thing has been limping around for 6 weeks and you guys draw attention to it?"1 point

I’ll give you another $25 if you go there.1 point

I'd consider Camelback to save $70 but then I wouldn't be able to eat 10 cent fruit candies with Steeze from the floor of BenM's truck anymore.1 point

For folks who already have a season pass there or elsewhere- CB is offering 20/21 Super Passes (also good this year) for $499 adults and $349 kids and they throw in 3 bring a friend passes and a Camelbeach pass Best skiing deal in PA for someone with 1 or more kids. They are also starting a season pass holder line and will likely offer an upgrade to access Ikon properties as they did last year.1 point

Every run at Blue will be within your ability. As for challenge well the variable conditions and crowds make Blue more challenging. CCmullin welcome to PASR1 point

What the fuck? Can you not fucking read? I had one of these, made by Enjorales, in the parking lot last weekend. And pancakes, and some other wonderful stuff to boot. Last year there was Creme Brulee in the parking lot. You simply just dont get it. Not all of us will let our wallets dictate the experience of skiing as you do.1 point
