I love facebook complaining. Are people that fucking stupid that they would park that they might get stuck in? In some other thread last year, i roughly figured out how much it would cost to pave most of the Valley lot, and its in the millions. They would sort of be opening a can of worms, because they really cant pave without doing a shit ton of drainage work. Personally, i would just like lifts that work. Admiring freshly paved parking lots from a broken down lift would make for good conversation though. I was noticing that our row was particularly intact and free of huge potholes like normal. I mean, i guess find the worst area, take a pic of it and put it on FB. Cool. That is groomed. Doesnt look any different than most Saturday mornings.6 points

Our town just paved our the parking lots for out teams softball fields and it was well in the hundreds of thousands range and it’s a fraction of Blues space. I’d rather see blue put that money elsewhere like the lifts or snowmaking to coming soon. I drive a truck and get there early so I have my choice of parking. [emoji3]3 points

Not really. i work in construction, so you might not understand the level of stupidity i have to contend with on a daily basis. I'm writing a book that will be titled "you just cant make this stuff up" or something like that.2 points

They set their Monday/Tuesday hours to 7:45am for this week, but AFAIK you have to change it for *every* Monday/Tuesday. I'm sure they'll switch it back after someone shows up at 7:45am Monday pissed off.2 points

I do see some valid points in the hate post. (where ever it was posted) I guess most have us have come to grips with the fact skiing Razors will be the unicorn until racing is over. NMDW being closed does kind of piss me off, but i get over that pretty quick, especially when that weird ass boarder cross is set up, at least to me it kind of ruins what that trail is all about to me. What i cant really stand is people complaining about the cost of lift tickets. So much cost to make snow. And it really runs across the boards for the Poconos. Even with what trails were closed over the weekend, Blue looks like a bargain compared to $68 for BB. And of course, i mean what the fuck do people really expect for a holiday weekend? I do like when someone thinks them threatening to leave and go to Camelsack will all of a sudden have Blue on the phone with them begging to stay.2 points

I have had this bullshit idea for awhile now, finally putting some pen to paper and making it happen. Paper template MDF template Bases cut Edges glued Core shaping Fiberglass, vds tape and top sheet Next step is glue on the sidewalls and profile the core, hopefully that happens this week. After that I’ll be building a pneumatic press, I’ll be posting progress as I go. The plan is to be on these by the end of the season. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk1 point

If it continues to not snow, maybe a mud party would be one of the summer activities1 point

I drove to Moe Ghoul's house to buy a case of Heady Topper off him a few years ago. Last time I was there with my daughter I saw you guys all heading for the lot as we were heading for the lift. I'm sure it was you all. I yelled something like "Sauage Sunday" but you guys were on the move.1 point

Ok, then imagine the stuff that doesnt get turned into insurance. Not because its petty, but because we say "thats so fucked up, theres no way we can turn this in to insurance."1 point

I think it’s an interesting idea. More and more people wanting to get into the sport. Looks ideal for someone new to try out their gear and see how they like it. But dangerous in the sense that the same person then thinks they have all the knowledge and goes out in more dangerous terrain with no education. I personally wish I could find a mentor to take me to some new places and learn some more. Seems like around here people fall into 2 category’s; new (like me) or very seasoned and not wanting to take the time to babysit someone (which I completely understand). Exactly. The people complaining about the lot clearly cant see the bigger picture.1 point

If they paved the lots they would have to build a brand new snowmaking pond that we can get excited about filling up.1 point

Stop complaining and just turn your phone upside down. You millennials or Gen X or whatever you are, are always complaining. Everything doesn’t always have to be perfect.1 point

Didn't ski at Jay alas. I ran a 5-day ski safari for a group of five kids and we went to Gunstock, Cannon, and Bolton x2. By the end of the day Thursday they were pretty spent and the temps were brutal Friday, so we decided to end the week with the waterpark. The skiing at Bolton was phenomenal. We had fresh snow both days and there was tons of tree skiing available; I really love that place. I'm not a confident woods skier but I loved the ungroomed trails that bumped up a bit. Sounds like @mbike-ski is doing a killer beer safari, too! Jealous!1 point

Oh god the waterpark. Took some students there yesterday and still haven't recovered; so loud...so crowded. But really my biggest complaint was that I had to be sober because I was working. 😪 The flow rider looked really fun! Why are water park hot tubs never hot? The view of Jay and the Greens coming in from the east was worth the whole trip. Spectacular. Happy shredding!1 point
