Steamboat has consistently been getting snow, so odds are definitely in your favor for that. Really at this point i would just be planning out which strip clubs would be best based on location/services.5 points

Found this awesome off grid yurt in Marble for rent. When I sent the link to my friend of course she said we have to check it out immediately. Heading there early March for a few days. Don’t have to skin in, 4WD road and park right in front. Marble has some good secluded backcountry ski spots I am looking forward to checking out. I have only been to Marble in summer, but it is such a cool little area. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk5 points

Everything seem to be in really good shape today. Nightmare Dream Weaver was my favorite today. They opened up Razors to the public just before I left, and my run down it was marginal. If I were a racer and had my druthers I’d much rather have raced on Challenge than Razors. Challenge was bulletproof like it was water injected. They were blowing snow like crazy on Razors Friday, and I don’t think there was enough time for the slope to set before the race. Will be out again tomorrow with my sweetie, probably not at opening though.4 points

Not a strip club per se .... but are you visiting Strawberry Park Hot Springs at night, @enjoralas, @saltyant, @pops ? Hard to see much with the steam and darkness but clothing tends to be optional once dusk hits. https://strawberryhotsprings.com/3 points

Bahahahaha this is grate. I’m guessing Ski2Lives jitterbug doesn’t take pictures or he is getting his funsaver Camara developed at CVS and it will be ready in 2-4 days.3 points

I’ll just write my report here since this is already an active thread. I arrived at the lower lot at 830am and it was 37 degrees under sunny sky’s. In the house were Rodney, Fritz, Terry, Drew, BenM, Justo, Rose and a small amount of others. First run on Challenge it was firm but not bad..sidewinder was similar conditions and paradise had really shitty grooming with lots of cookies. Switchback has great grooming and Barney’s bumps were groomed out with lower Main Street cookies central. I skied with Drew my whole session..good lift conversation with him and random people who joined our six pack. No liftlines at all but most chairs had people on them. Quad was not running just the six pack. I seemed to ski challenge and sidewinder the most as they were both mainly in the sun...only got one real clean run on Switchback as it seemed like a ski school group was on that run most times. Skied until 11:10am I believe 15 runs..never really got to spring conditions although now with the beating sun on all the runs it could potentially corn up. All in all better than work although I did just take a work..seems like the one dealer I gave my cell phone number to really abuses it..all good in my hood. I have some pretzels and cheese and beer to consume work on my tan errrr red for a little before I go back to the A for a nap. JADIP!!!3 points

Just got here. Quad and six pack both running. Only familiar face is Drew from Indiggios crew. It’s bright AF..gonna chance it with bright light goggles which is a rarity for here.3 points

^^^ i will bet you one steamboat stripper for salty that the lift issues and grooming keeps more people away than the potholes in the parking lot.3 points

make sure you guys dont smoke any cigarettes in the woods, you'll get screamed at by employees. its been 3 years and im still mad I handled the situation like a mature adult. i could have started cursing at the guy like i did a month earlier at JHole mountain patrol, but i decided to diffuse the situation. still bothers me smh2 points

I'm planning a visit to Strawberry Park, for the view UP more than anything else. The clothing optional deal isn't a big deal to me in either direction - I'm certainly not going there because of it, but at the same time what other people wanna do is their business, doesnt bother me a bit. But I've heard the view of the sky is ridiculous if the night is clear.2 points

I told Salty to bring a speedo so he doesn’t look like a tourist and he said he was just gonna pretend he was at club Hedonism2 points

glad you had a good time at montage. we're there just about every sunday. montage has invested a lot in their snowmaking infrastructure and renovated the lodge over the past few years. still a work in progress, but headed in the right direction. montage does have a leg up on blue by a) being further north, b) having higher elevation, and c) less crowds...all of that adds up to better snow conditions. (similar reasons why elk usually has a good man-made snow product also).2 points

Sun we hit Wildcat which had gotten 4" fresh the night before which continued to come down during the day. Lines were never more than about 5 min on a high speed quad serving 2000' vertical even on Presidents Saturday. Clearly made the right call coming hear as I heard lines were very bad at Attitash that day. This place was a marvel. Conditions were amazing with fresh snow and mt 100% open. Loved the classic winding New England trails, tree runs and challenging ungroomed steeps. Super friendly people too leading to lots of interesting lift conversations. One guy told me of the adventures he and his buddies have had getting successive new ownership to honor the Lifetime Passes they purchased in 68/69. May be my favorite place I have skied in the East though there are plenty with more horizontal.2 points

Went to Montage for the first time ever - which seems impossible. Had fun. great bumps on white lightning and boomer. Shame the pitches are so short. Good snow. Males me wonder if Blue has either bad snow making, grooming, or just a lower elevation. But much better man made. Nice lodge. Low crowds even with the holiday. Nice time.1 point

Not even at that point yet...might have to sneak a quick karaoke rehearsal in quick followed by a hot toddy. Salty I have a lot of stories about Nork..aka the brick city aka they have soft pretzels in every terminal.1 point

Great decision making Ski2Live but not the best spelling..I give this report a 2.3 out of 5...something to read but is lacking...I hope the snow driving in the Mazda 3 wasn’t that bad white knuckle...1 point

@Barb have you been to FOBP events? I’ve met friends at the parking lot of Berthoud. They do a free avy awareness class on the snow. I did my level 1 before but it’s a great refresher and a way to meet more people into staying safe in the BC. (www.berthoudpass.org/on-snow-sessions.html) also loved the Backcountry Babes group in Breckenridge. Met a bunch of other badass female skiers and learned of new spots in Summit County. https://m.facebook.com/BackcountryBabe/1 point

If it continues to not snow, maybe a mud party would be one of the summer activities1 point

I think it’s an interesting idea. More and more people wanting to get into the sport. Looks ideal for someone new to try out their gear and see how they like it. But dangerous in the sense that the same person then thinks they have all the knowledge and goes out in more dangerous terrain with no education. I personally wish I could find a mentor to take me to some new places and learn some more. Seems like around here people fall into 2 category’s; new (like me) or very seasoned and not wanting to take the time to babysit someone (which I completely understand). They set their Monday/Tuesday hours to 7:45am for this week, but AFAIK you have to change it for *every* Monday/Tuesday. I'm sure they'll switch it back after someone shows up at 7:45am Monday pissed off.1 point
