Real good day today, even with minimal lifts running and a handful of closed trails at the start, bumps were great.3 points

That's why you gotta take pics. Cause, you know, pics or it didn't happen. Was Ski2Live really in New Hampshire? Hmmmm.2 points

Switchback Railways were the original names given to rollercoasters. The Mauch Chunk railway is widely credited with being the first modern rollercoaster, as most don’t count the Russian ice slides as being too different in concept and operation2 points

Really love the camaraderie that's going on around here. Let's keep their spirits up! Poor folks are gonna be suffering through zero viz and blowing snow, while there is nothing but clear skies on the horizon for Blue this weekend!2 points

hell yea salty! i love seeing these little local hills. part of me thinks it would be cool to go on a road trip hitting the small resorts across america, but no point in doing that when you can take a trip to real resorts out west2 points

The parade and fireworks are definitely unique and fun. Glad you enjoyed the north face as well. Boomer always looms in the shadow of White Lightning but it is a really great trail.2 points

Those pics are a perfect reason to drop a little more dough on a phone. That said....WTGAI Saltman. Going someplace new is always cool. Tussey is where the Penn State students hang out.2 points

Blue is all sorts of f*ked up but to be fair, the 6’er fiasco they had techie from EU coming over. Non standard failure for sure. It’s a PA ski bump, not friggin Vail. I can’t get too harsh on them for the 6 pak problems. My 2 cents for sure2 points

Accurate AF. I picked up some Tussey bumper stickers to pass out in the lot.2 points

Did my first run after so much anticipation and it was over in 30 seconds. Just like at the strip club next week! Places like this make me really appreciate that I live only 45 minutes from Blue Mountain the True Mountain.2 points

Bahahaha shit is hilarious and I don’t even get it. TP4 were you ever a victim of Michael Bloomberg’s stop and frisk policy when you lived in the Bronx? I feel like you’d be profiled as a young black man.1 point

Paradise and sidewinder were closed for a few hours this morning. Was fortunate to be heading to challenger when I saw them about to open up sidewinder. Best run I’ve had all year but not so hot after that. Lower Main is sporty today. Road up on the lift with some race parents who were on the phone about the kid who got hurt. They were naturally pretty upset and it sounded pretty serious. Hope the kid is ok. There still blowing “snow” at the moment. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Pro1 point

Those Russian ice slides are cool. I always thought it was neat how the Spanish word for "rollercoaster" is "Montaña Rusa" or "Russian Mountain".1 point

White lightning and Boomer were fantastic at Montage. I was there Saturday night and Sunday all day. I always stay over that weekend because of the parade and fireworks on the mountain.1 point

That's State College in the background. I'm working in the middle of nowhere and drove an hour. If you ever take I-99 through State College you can see the majestic mountain in the distance.1 point

100% agree on this. I get the idea of stocking spare parts, but stocking parts that may never be needed is just a huge waste of money.1 point

Glad he's ok but how stupid is that? Dont fucking duck ropes; although so I dont come off as a complete hippocrite, my stupid ass has done it before (along with a few others that may or may not post here... lol.) Won't happen again however.1 point

Hey All, I’m back from a fun night session at Blue mountain the true mountain. I arrived at the lower lot around 635 in the PM and it was in the upper 20s. About 20 buses and no quad running so there was an almost full corral for the six pack until almost 8. Singles line was maybe a 3-4 minute wait plus the lift stopped once or twice per ride. Atomic Jeff was doing slalom gates. First run Main Street mainly cause I was on the right side of the chair..upper left which used to be Barney’s Bumps had the best snow on the mountain as it didn’t get much traffic and got some blowover from the cannons on X-ing..lower Main Street was rolly Polly..skied a run on lazy which was pleasant enough..crossover a little slow with guns blasting on upper and lower sidewinder...lots of poachers getting after the fresh perder..I saw four get stopped by ski patrol at the bottom of lower sidewinder. After two runs mbike mike was behind me in singles line and I did some runs with him..back to Main Street and lazy and tried out nightmare dreamweaver which had slalom gates on the top...apparently Eaf was getting after it but I didn’t see him..Eaf it pretty Stealth. Also saw RodeoSteve in the liftline and talked to him for a minute. PARidgeRider was also in the House although I didn’t see him until the parking lot and one of the West Chester homeys also there. Had a few beers in the lower lot enjoyed the pleasant temperatures and peaced out by 920pm...ski everybody this weekend..gonna be a nice one.1 point

Wow slow lifts suck! It feels like 5% skiing and 95% riding the lift. Another 30 minutes and I'm bailing. Getting hangry. The snow is pretty damn grate though.1 point

Didn't ski at Jay alas. I ran a 5-day ski safari for a group of five kids and we went to Gunstock, Cannon, and Bolton x2. By the end of the day Thursday they were pretty spent and the temps were brutal Friday, so we decided to end the week with the waterpark. The skiing at Bolton was phenomenal. We had fresh snow both days and there was tons of tree skiing available; I really love that place. I'm not a confident woods skier but I loved the ungroomed trails that bumped up a bit. Sounds like @mbike-ski is doing a killer beer safari, too! Jealous!1 point
