Video I edited together from the past two days. Laptop was really fighting me so it's rough with no transitions or anything. And I have no idea what happened with that footage at about the 2:00 mark13 points

On the contrary, my 65mm waist slalom skis sharp enough to peel a fingernail rocked today. Best conditions of the year.4 points

Just did a blue/black mogul run called Northerner or something. Did pretty well. Got it on my GoPro. Maybe I can ski after all @indiggio🤣4 points

Hey All, I’m back from a fun night session at Blue mountain the true mountain. I arrived at around 630pm and it was in the upper 20s with strong winds. In the house were Atomic Jeff, Matt Edge, MrsSnowbunski, TP4, Nastar Glenn and MBike Mike. Only about 6-7 buses so no liftlines on the six pack. First run on lazy mile was nice snow but the guns were a bit much and the last one was wet. Challenge was slick..I saw my reflection in the ice and had the bulletproof song stuck in my Herman..this time baby I’ll be bulletproof.. Main Street was ok upper lower was in the guns not great visibility but ok snow. Sidewinder was slick but I’ve seen worse at local ice skating rinks. Did a run on Burma to break things up and it was slick...ended with two more Lazys then hit the parking lot for two beers. A minute before I was leaving this guy dumped like 4-6 beer bottles and cans into the lot from the passenger seat of pickup truck and I confronted him about the trash. He swore it wasn’t his and begrudgingly put the trash in the bed of truck. He looked like he wanted to fight me and asked if I owned the mountain. I said yeah I’m part owner since I have a season pass and MBike Mike said we’re part owners of this row. Anyway what an asshole when there are garbage cans like every 30 yards..all in all not the best conditions but nice being out in winter and even a little snow shower on the way out.3 points

Thats exactly right. Same thing goes for me. When I go anywhere that offers skiing anything other than groomers I feel like it takes me a few runs to get back into the swing of it. Skiing bumps at Blue helps lessen that, but it still takes time to get comfortable.3 points

I think you're doing just fine from where you were a year ago. It is cool to see people progress like that. All three of you out there have come such a long way in the last few years.3 points

One of my favorite homemade wing sauces is 1/2 maple syrup 1/2 sriracha. Sounds weird but it's delicious and sticks to the wings nicely.3 points

Just got back from the T-Bar. It's a 10 minute walk from the condo. It's essentially a bro hive. The bartender and bro next to me thought I was under 21 despite the rad goatee just because I got a Coke instead of alcohol. At least they didn't call me McMuffin like the jabronis at Gondas in the early 2010s when I ordered a 4 pack. But they were bros because they bought everyone at the bar shotskis. I did a shot of whatever and it tasted like grandpa's cough medicine. Yuck. I'll stick to Coke products. J.A.D.I.P.3 points

Day 2 After a great nights rest I woke to a light rain. Figured today I’d explore King Ravine. Which is in the northern presidentials off of Mt. Adams. Never have been there before or anywhere in the section of the mountain range. Started the tour in a light rain climbing through maple forest which eventually switched to pine forest. First 2.5 miles was super easy skinning with the same mellow pitch. The last 0.8 miles to base of the Great Gully was much to be desired. Not only was i now breaking trail, it got incredible steep, excessive over growth and sections of car sized rocks with holes that seemed like they dropped into oblivion. Eventually i made to the base of the great gully which is the pinnacle of king. Clouds were rolling in and out... I already knew I wasn’t going to ski the line top to bottom from what i read about it. This was a personal recon mission to grab beta on the zone. Climbed up to just shy of the first ice bulges. Looked to be 3 serious ice bulges In steepest section of the gully. While i think i could i have climbed through them without issue, but doing that then skiing it would top 3 my list of stupidest things I’ve ever done. The total line is way bigger then anything in tuxs, steeper and definitely more committing. King Ravine hasn’t seen the last of me. Thank @Justo8484 for the advice on the handgun.3 points

Still feel like an outsider here. Too shy to start a blue mountain thread. [emoji4] It is really just a reply about demos. [emoji23]2 points

The retired auxiliary of PA ski and ride hit the slopes this morning. A lot of rain last night and temp was 33 when I left the house. 34 when I left the slopes aound noon. Mostly cloudy but the sun peaked through occasionally. Very strong wind out of the west. Blew over the 6pack trash funnel. Sharpened the skis last night. Good thing, because the entire mountain was bulletproof. Has a great time. No loose snow anywhere except coming off the macadam at the valley lodge. Razors roped off, some regional races coming up. Nightmare was the run of the morning again. Some brown skid marks on the inside of the first turn of Paradise and the middle of Main Street and Switchback. Otherwise coverage was pretty good. Going to try some demos tomorrow.2 points

Thanks Toast. I still flail around in ungroomed terrain but am trying to get better. It's tough to advance when I only get to practice it a few times a year.2 points

Not sure on that ratio personally, but I like the sound of some maple syrup in a wing sauce.2 points

that's awesome. Beaver Creek does cookies on a platter at 3pm everyday and it really is lovely. But, must admit @enjoralas's meats in the parking lot sound better. More important question, who is going to photoshop @enjoralas face and the meats on this photo first?2 points

Arrived at 4:30 to 49° and overcast. In the house is Mrs Mute, Marty, and Ryan. Snow is soft and smooth. No crowd at all. NMDW is the ROTN and even enjoyed the bumps on Nightmare a couple times. Clouds moved in as the sun set but never went that low on the mountain to be an issue. Currently 44° with a rf of 38°. Having a Bells Two Hearted at the LRL with a chilimac and then heading back out.1 point

looks fun! I'm definitely down for some touring adventures in the spring. I've been reading this book and have been getting stoked to explore more. https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/1934028142/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_search_asin_image?ie=UTF8&psc=11 point

Tree wells aren’t magnets. They’re not just going to reach out and grab you. Don’t ski near them and you reduce your risk. Even skiing with a partner isn’t full proof as someone always has to go last. Skiing is all about managing risk. There are ways to mitigate it, but never eliminate it. Just be smart @saltyant and have fun. Don’t stomp on your own stoke by watching some YouTube videos. That’s like going on WebMD when you have a sore throat.1 point
