Snowy day here in Switzerland with @KevinThomas and @AtomicSkier Woke up to snow falling and it’s still coming down in the mountains. Because of the snow and cloud cover we stayed low and the entire morning was over in Bruson. Most of the day was off piste and in the forests, obviously. The snow was deep, the skiing was great. We got super wet from all the snow and were still a little beat up from the guided adventures yesterday so called it shortly after 1:00. Tomorrow should be good, too.14 points

Got three days on the skis, they are pretty damn fun! First day at Snow Basin they were a bit hooky in spring slush, took a gummy stone to the tips and they are much better now. A pow day at Snow Bird and at Alta and a few face shots with a ski I built was pretty magical. They are definitely stiff and like to be driven. Great benchmark for the next pair, I wanted them to be stiff but they are a bit to stiff. Now I know for the next pair. Another fun day in the mountains here in Verbier. It was snowing much harder than yesterday, but the visibility was also worse. Temps remained pretty warm which was causing some seriously heavy snow down low and mediumish density up high. We skied Bruson today as it has the best forests (trees). After some super smooth groomer pow, we broke trail on a reasonably long traverse out into the forest. Snow was even deeper today compared to yesterday. Two vids that @KevinThomas shot of me deep in the forest.7 points

Travel day. uneventful flights. Gunnison airport is a lot like Jackson Hole, tiny little airport with like 2 gates. Barb met me at the airport for a quick ride to her place at Crested Butte. Went for a nice walk around town, which is a really cool place. looks like some periodic snow in the forecast, with some warmer temps mixed in. Might be some decent snowfall for Friday night. This is what you get when you stay with Barb. I forget what this is called, but it was awesome. Ba Dom arrives tomorrow, Barb and I will be at the mountain tomorrow for opening. Cant wait to check this place out.5 points

Winningest trip posted on PASR this year. That's living the dream. No worries about Corona, 1st sign of it they'll blow the tunnels and shut down incoming transportation. Being stuck there for a few weeks wouldn't be the worst thing in the world. This thread literally needs some cow bell to be all time!4 points

Picked up the first rack of ribs tonight. A pork tenderloin. A pork shoulder for pulled pork. Three pounds of bacon. Four pounds of shrimp. I know, but it’s a start . . .3 points

Hey All, I’m back from a fun afternoon session at Blue mountain the true mountain. I pulled into the lower lot at a few minutes before 2 and Bethlehem Ford Guy and his friend were just finishing up said razors was good..another guy in the lot was sad about it being the last weekday. Booted up wore a t shirt and shell and no gloves and was roasting except the top of the six pack was comfortable and the ride down. Strong south wind and not many people in the house. First lift I rode with one of the guys in the early line ups questioned why we began on challenge vs razors yesterday..answer cause we knew it would be better. Sheesh am I on judge Judy here. Another lift ride with patrollers and they felt like a few days of their skison were being stolen from them as well. I started on razors top was either big corny piles or scraped off sections almost like a slalom course..I mixed it up was rather pleasant middle section right side was the smoothest and Razorback when I began was the smoothest softest yet fast corn..last section I just straight ran to have speed for homestretch. Second run I did sidewinder and it was good in the beginning first corner was like 10” deep crud piles last section a little better the falls smooth I was expecting big moguls.. Since razors was so pleasant and a rare run to ski much I just skied that the rest of the time and did Razorback each time by the last two runs Razorback was getting choppy from me and surely a few others..I quit around 330 and Rodney’s crew was getting radical in the lot two rows over from the PASR row..I put a few beers in the freezer at work an hour before I left for skiing and kept them in a bag under a fleece in the backseat to keep them ice cold..had a citra and a perpetual and some cheese and pretzels for the better part of an hour caught up on Facebook and basked in the 70 degree sunlight. Was a fun afternoon out..only skied 8-9 runs but feel like I skied 20.1 point
