  1. I only got 5 days on my epic pass (6 if you count the one run before my injury) all at Crested Butte. Not complaining, it paid for itself. I just ordered Full Epic for next season since there was talk of a PASR Telluride trip. Don’t disappoint me.

  2. I think across the board people aren't taking it as seriously as they should, with older people who may not have the information and younger people who are selfish being the ones that aren't taking it seriously enough. I've definitely seen a change in that over the last few days because it is getting significantly more serious. It probably doesn't help to blame one group of people or an other. We just need to all work together to get through this as it continues to worsen.

  3. If you can work from home you should be fine. This is aimed at keeping people from gathering not shutting down the economy entirely although the effect might not be far off.

  5. Is the cash only culture that big? And as far as cash goes, can the virus be transmitted VIA cash? I still will never understand people "going to look at cars" Seems like a huge waste of time to me. I have been looking online for a new(er) Tacoma, but until is see something that i like, i wont go. And even when i do, i start with numbers, and take it from there. Dealerships always want to get you in the car first, so when you get back to the dealership you have already opened your wallet because of all the cool stuff the car did, like get you from point A to point B. Remember who you are talking to. I think alot of people including myself didnt take this serious enough at first. There are some things going on at work that i strongly disagree with, and i feel like i am becoming wildly unpopular at work. All of this social distancing will lead to my yard getting all picked up, the second bathroom being un-wallpapered and painted, old shit around the house thrown out, and all of the "tidying up" of the house that i have pushed off during ski season, and of course i can still play cars. People with not enough to do lack vision.

  13. I’m sheltering in place. Regretting going to Blue the Saturday before closing, but think I am past the incubation period for that. Have a 3 week old granddaughter I’m avoiding visiting. Local sporting goods store sold out of handguns, rifles and ammo over the weekend. Pensyltucky stocking up.

  14. A quick thought on the number of cash transactions. There are always going to be a certain number of people who don't necessarily want their purchasing to be tracked and will use cash for these kind of things. Before it seems like I"m talking about conspiracy theorists think about college kids who would rather use cash at the bar or liquor store rather than their parents seeing it on the statement, or the guy that buys skis with cash from a shop so his wife doesn't realize how much he actually spent on his 9th pair of skis in 2 years.....

  27. Just as an FYI - what i know about UE comes from employees in a seasonal business, returning to work (around here) in the spring. This would most likely pertain to most peoples situation, where they may get laid off due to Covid-19, but will eventually return to work. We try to get as many guys to work a few hours a week, as especially with this winters weather, we were still out doing some work. So, we are one of those employers that will let employees work 1 day a week. (or more) Our super smart shop guy comes in 2 days a week for 10 hrs for the week. People that are returning to their job after a temp layoff dont have to jump through all the hoops your husband apparently does. I dont know anything about this side of UE. Guys on a temp layoff are sitting at home watching cartoons. Even with the letter from an employer stating a date of return, they sort of still make you sign up at career link, but they dont get too bothersome about looking for work. We want most of our employees back, so we actually hope they are not out looking for work, and since most work through Careerlink is full time, i feel it could take a job away from someone looking for a full time job.

  29. No it’s not the boomers at all. it’s the fucking idiots my age (under 30) that have this everlasting need to be around people and be “seen” 24/7.
