Listening to Trump’s updates is just painful. He says absolutely nothing. But it’s like watching a car race for the accident, because you know the Q & A section is gonna be hilarious. CNN reporter asks a question and Trump goes over the edge in 3...2...1...BOOM!3 points

@indiggio been following all the mayhem. People need to just chill out, hoping this latest round of stay at home orders does something. @toast21602 thanks for asking. Monday I turned the corner and woke up for the first time without the “fog.” Still have a slight headache and have to take breaks from screens. Really wish I could read a book but don’t think I am ready for that yet. Tried driving Yesterday and it made me dizzy. All the fast eye movements I think. Bending over to do laundry etc makes me dizzy still. My studio is having online yoga classes but don’t think I am ready for all the head below heart moves, or balancing for that matter. Hopefully next week. I did get my boot off yesterday, however, so super psyched about that. Have to wait 2 weeks to hike but I can do neighborhood walks. @AtomicSkier looking forward to using it!3 points

Extended to April 30. I’ll renew mine sometime before then. Actually making MORE money right now, getting 25% appreciation pay bump at work. Some might call it hazard pay.3 points

You can make a graph say anything you want. How to lie with statistics. Some people will bite your head off if you suggest that their data is misleading or paints a worse picture, though. I also feel that absolute numbers aren’t that useful when comparing countries, or even states.2 points

I feel for the others standing there. It has to be so awkward. I’d be sweating up a storm. Tony was on again today, but Trump kept him on a short leash. Trump won’t give him any reign anymore!2 points

Because he can’t hold his rallies anymore these have just become those now. Just disinformation and people around him tugging on his dick. It would be great to actually hear from the medical experts.2 points

(Functional) Tests should have been available in January. But you know, hoax and all that2 points

Absolutely has to do with more testing. NY has done more testing the 1/2 of the country. The testing that is being done now should have been done two weeks ago, which is why things are growing as rapidly as they are. But yes, people not following guidelines and being accountable for the successes of social distancing are contributing. We won't see any impact of lock downs and distancing for another week or so.2 points

I figure wherever you live, city or country, your local hospital is about to become overwhelmed. It's going to be a nightmare everywhere. At least here in VT it's easier to spread out and we're not all touching the same subway pole. Plus the locals here aren't exactly being responsible all the time, either. I was booted off the Backcountry Touring in the Northeast FB page for saying that shredding trees in the backcountry isn't ok just because you are "local." If you're hurt you'll still need to be rescued by people who don't have adequate protection, you'll tie up an ambulance for hours and take already-exhausted staff away from other patients. Some dude said all the naysayers were just "jealous" of everyone who was "getting some", and I was like hey brah, I don't want to drown in my own lung fluid because you can't stay home for a few weeks. I don't regret saying it and don't really care about being booted, but I hate that there's a whole FB group saying it's ok to be selfish and irresponsible if you're a local.2 points

Kids are remarkably at ease about it. They let the parents do the worrying for them. Saving grace is they were able to do one show - for a reduced audience but streamed for others - of the Frozen Jr school musical they had been rehearsing since Dec - on March 12 - the night before they shut schools down. They had starring roles as Young Anna and Young Elsa. So glad I got to see them do that. They would have been devastated if that got cancelled.2 points

What I read is that it is 1200 for a single filer and 2400 for joint plus an extra 500 per kid up to 1000. The phase out is from 75k to the cap of 99k for single and 150 to 198k for joint reduced by $100 for every $5 of income over. That’s based on your adjusted 2018 income. It will certainly help some folks short term. Bigger aid is the extra 600 per week that the feds will kick in for unemployment for up tom4 months plus the tax incentive given to companies to not lay off staff. Devil is in the details though so I’ll be curious about them.2 points

My doctor did a telephone appt with me and said I should wear a blindfold as much as possible for a few days since I was still so dizzy. I sat my ass on the couch and listened to lots of podcasts and after two days the dizziness is almost gone. Just one small headache spot and a little foginess left. Ordered this helmet (on 1/2 off sale!). Has a relatively new technology instead of styrofoam and extra support in the back. Even if I was not banged up right now I would not be in the backcountry. People are acting like fools, crowding trailheads, parking stupid and going out with no gear or education. If I get my boot off on Wednesday (fingers crossed) I am looking forward to walking a ton by the end of the week, then hopefully hiking by the following week. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk1 point
