  1. Husband found this near the dumpster at his garage space. He took it back to the garage, cleaned out all the gunk from the carburetor, put a new pull string on it, did some other things to it and got it running again. Said he is going to repaint it and sharpen the blade. Saw them selling for $600 on ebay. He is very pleased with himself. Date on it says it’s 39 years old Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

  2. Here is the full video on Holly Mountain. This was a bizarre place. The base of the hill is practically in a tidal swamp and just barely above sea level. It's really interesting finding out what lengths people went to ski local back in the day. It's sort of a shame we lost these places. Sometimes its nice just to have a place to make turns on in your back yard, even if its not much.

  3. One thing is for sure this lockdown is good for the environment. This is pretty remarkable...the Himalayas can be seen from areas 200km away in northern India for the first time in 30 years @RajeevGuptaSucheeta Hope you are safe and your sister Jaya and the rest of the family are good!!!! https://www.google.com/amp/s/thehill.com/policy/energy-environment/491965-people-in-india-say-theyre-seeing-the-himalayas-for-first-time-in%3famp

  6. Yep yep. Statistics in nj/ny are skewed to as only hospital deaths are counted. NYT reported many fold increase at home deaths compared to same time frame last year that are not part of daily tally (understandably).

  7. I've seen a lot of older people out. Some of it really stupid. Like the 50 something women walking her mother with a walker out of the store watching that she didn't fall. I wanted to ask her why the hell wouldn't you shop for her??? Then there was the 80 something women buying lottery tickets at the beer distributor. Buying lottery tickets is stupid enough but that's the only reason you went out now?? Most stores have senior shopping the first hour of opening but I see older people shopping at all hours. I guess they're the same ones going to the post office around Christmas and clogging up the line at lunch time when people who work are trying to mail a package on their lunch hour.

  8. The end of the month wont be any different than today. I would like to have some positive income before making a purchase like that. This is why i think the "season pass sale" will continue until the day the rope drops on Vista. I doubt there will be a huge increase in season pass price. That will of course, get a whole bunch of peoples panties all in a bunch too, that already pre purchased.

  9. You’re fine, have at it. It’s easy, just use the paper template. If you’re worried about it drill a 2x4 with the paper template and mount the bindings to it to ensure everything is correct before drilling the skis. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

  14. Day one, March 16th we delivered to about 10 percent of our student body who needed devices. It was mostly younger students who didn’t need a laptop in 3rd grade. By middle school everyone needs one to get by. So weird to think I was going in houses and helping them get set up and sign paperwork. I couldn’t imagine doing that today.

  15. We’re available from 9-3. I usually have one staff, grade level or department meeting a day. Other than that I send the work out every morning on google classroom and then small group instruct for about an hour a day. All in all it’s about 3 hours a day. My wife teaches kindergarten and puts about 4 hours a day in. Plus making sure my own 3 kids are doing their work. With that we are at an advantage since we both work in the district that our girls go to. Teacher happy hours at my house for the last however many years allow my girls direct access to their teachers whenever they need it.

  17. It hasn't gotten that bad in PA, even in Philly. The thing that worries me most is we never really seem to have tested that much to begin with. They shutdown the CDC testing site at the stadiums because the emergency funding for that already ran out. I can't imagine the poorer areas of the city, especially in Kensington with the huge homeless and addicted population come out of this without a lot of issues, but we might never really know about it because its not like people in those communities are even going to come forward to get tested in the first place.

  18. "proper tools" is pretty open ended. I've mounted plenty of pairs of skis, and you can definitely do it yourself with a regular drill bit, a paper template, and measuring, measuring again, then measuring again to triple check. That said, it is about 10x easier if you've got a jig and a stepped or collared bit. What kinda skis and what kinda bindings? I don't really have any great photos, unfortunately, but I recently repaired a binding that stripped out of my ski. Holes were already heli-coiled, so I bought a set of Quiver Killer rescue inserts, drilled out the old crappy holes and set the inserts with 24hr epoxy. The heel piece now screws in to the inserts with machine screws, the same way a snowboard binding does.

Not being a dick here, but its my opinion take out is a bigger risk than supermarket meats. here is a list of their brands. https://www.cargill.com/meat-poultry/cargill-meat-solutions

  28. Well then Blue is gonna go out of business and Vail won’t have the money to buy it and then @EdBacon will do a lost ski areas video on blue... If there are second and third lockdowns. People are gonna start to riot and it won’t be a quiet riot because we’re not gonna take it. I am fortunate the Wuhan Bat plague didn’t hit in January or we would have all missed out on even more skiing and riding

  43. Most school districts (libraries, fire houses, first aid squads, municipal centers, etc) have been getting free cable and internet from us for years. If they are not, they really should have someone negotiate a better franchise contract when it comes up for renewal again. For everyone else --> https://internetessentials.com
