I saw a good meme recently for United's "in this together" marketing campaign...."we weren't in this together when my bag was 52lbs"5 points

Probably a good half of our employees are from Guatemala. Just a few actual Mexicans. Are the Guatemalans ok in your silly logic? Trust me when i say this Doug, they were the ones that showed up Monday morning with their own masks. Its a bunch of our other guys that seem to think they are invincible, or they are just dumber than i thought they were. I would rest most of the blame on the employer for the people i saw out working without a mask.5 points

I am afraid that as a society we are going to fail this test. I had to take a truck for a test drive, and not to sound racist, but every landscape truck i saw with 2-4 guys in it, none had masks on, then the other crew i saw doing mulch, none of them had masks on. We should be back in quarantine shortly. I guess at this point, i just need to look out for numero uno. (me)5 points

Not to be too tinfoiley, but people in China were forced to listen. While forcing people to quarantine here might seem like a good idea it's the kind of thing that you probably shouldn't give the government the power to do.3 points

I'll wait for the order to come through and let you know when it is confirmed. Thanks for ordering with Toast!3 points

So, i'm back at work. We are taking all the precautions and providing masks for everybody, sanitizer, hand wash stations, the whole nine yards. I would say, 80% maybe more of our employees are taking it seriously, and are playing along with our rules, but i dont go out to job sites too often, so i dont know whats going on there. The guys i oversee are on board, so that puts me at ease somewhat. We have made it clear that everybody needs to bring their own lunch, water, etc. Nobody is to stop at Wawa, or any other convenience store or lunch spot, whatever. The unfortunate part is we cant control anybody's after work activities. Hopefully, they will go to work, and continue to only make trips to stores for essential items. We do have one manager that sort of thinks the rules dont apply to him, and then one of his foreman has made it clear that he feels this is all a big hoax. There is a super good chance this goes completely sideways, and its groundhog day all over again. I hope people realize that.3 points

Thanks, you too. Not trying to get into a pissing match. Whatever I'm saying, it's just my opinion. Doesn't mean it's right at all. Someone in my household may or may not work in the same place that C1er said was teeming with outsiders at the onset. I may or may not have been tested (negative). We are definitely on edge here and not taking it lightly. At some point though, to me, something's gotta give.2 points

Simpler times. It's amazing/disturbing how complicated the web development ecosystem has gotten. Sure, you can still have a website that uses nothing but plain ol' HTML, but if you're not using React, Redux, TypeScript, Webpack, AWS Lambdas, and prerending your content so it looks like it's just boring static HTML, are you really a web developer?2 points

To date, jersey has 121,190 positives. Among this population, 7,538 have died. Thatâs a 6% mortality rate. Now because of insufficient testing we donât know what the real numbers though. (And yes the denominator is total state population but come on) Ultra slim potential ? Pass me what your smoking.2 points

Thank you Captain Obvious. I have been hawking the John Hopkins site, I encourage everyone to take a look. You can drill down on infection rate per capita. Two things you can take away. One- there are large swaths of the country that have very low rates and can and should be opened up economically with some common sense restrictions in place. Two- there are areas that in no way no how should be opened up. I get no sense from you that you are ack Acknowledging that. Over 7k dead in jersey alone. Ultra slim my ass1 point

I think it was made with Microsoft office 97...first assignment in BSAD-40 which was like an into IT course was to send an email, next assignment was to make a power point presentation...also learned how to use excel and access. My website 100% had a midi file playing in the background..I believe Jump by Van Halen..was radical and it had my picture on it and hobbies..I used to chat with girls on AOL instant messenger and Iâd be like whatâs up and theyâd be like,âIâm chillaxingâ1 point

You can be the official daily stat guy if you wish. This weekend with the beautiful weather forecast scares the shit out of me. I guess it's fine to be outside while social distancing, wearing a mask etc. but I'm not at all confident that most people will do that.1 point

31 days skied on pass (including 3 in Spring 2019) and I get 20% refund and better (and free) pass insurance for next year. Awesome move by Vail. And 20% rebate is actually pretty close to the usage I missed as I expect I would have skied 4 more PA/NY/VT days in addition to the 4 I had booked at Vail. So I got in 31 of planned 39 days - very close to 80%1 point

I havenât had a computer in years. Normally Iâd try work computer but itâs at office managers house. What does UI mean? Shit random restaurants in Allentown have better online ordering.1 point

Does he have a computer? I assumed all of this was happening on an iphone. The UI for their online shop is so bad. For whatever reason, I had to re-sign the waiver, but rose didn't. It wasn't actually a signature or anything though, just a checkbox saying i read it.1 point
