So i went out for a drive yesterday to curb some boredom. Lots of traffic. I also saw people "visiting" for mothers day in my neighborhood, where as i didnt see this on Easter. There is some pretty crazy shit being circulated on the interweb, and i think that is playing a significant role in changing peoples minds on this thing. I dont think the stay at home order until June is going to be something most people are going to be willing to do. I saw something about Bucks County where they were saying the local PD would do nothing to stop anybody from opening their business, and they would be relying on the PSP to take care of that. So, i think if you read between the lines some, they were kinda saying, go ahead, open up, we wont be bothering you. Sadly, i dont think most people will be upholding social distancing or wearing a mask either. This ride could get pretty bumpy. Im gonna be a mask wearing, staying away from other people, doing curbside delivery kinda guy for the foreseeable future.5 points

the idea of forced isolation, not having to feel obligated to go to events or places i really don't want to go to, the complete social acceptance of drinking at any hour of any day and still being able to work is a dream come true. i don't care how long it goes on.4 points

My plan was to pay all you fuckers back at the end of season party, but that didnt work out so well. just keep reminding me about it, ok? Dont let me forget.3 points

I’m at 29, excluding backcountry adventures. I’ve had mostly the Epic and Ikon pass, so most of my mountain experience is with those. And, since I lived in Colorado .. I’ve hit up a lot of the Colorado mountains but my rankings is a mix of experience, crowds, distance, etc. I kind of love the ability to hop around to different resorts in places like Colorado and Utah. I’m a grad student for about 1 more week and was able to snag a student discount Ikon pass. Woot woot. So, ironically, I made a rough ski plan. Before I switch to Epic again, I want to hit up some of the other Ikon resorts. I plan to take 2’ish road trips, fly 1-2x to Colorado/Utah, and make 1 trip to somewhere new. ROAD TRIP to NEW resorts in 20/21 (if skiing is a thing) I want to hit the top 3 at least 1. Windham 2. Killington 3. Stratton 4. Loon 5. Sunday River 6. Sugarloaf PLANNED .. 1-2 Family Ski Trips UTAH trip: Deer Valley, Alta, Brighton, Snowbird Or … COLORADO trip: Winter Park, Copper, ABasin, Steamy PLACES I WANT TO VISIT Big Sky Tremblant Blue Mountain (Canada) BUCKET LIST … Zermatt, Jackson, Aspen, Whistler, and Silverton ----------------------------------------------------- Pennsylvania 1. Elk Mountain 2. Blue Mountain 3. Camelback 4. Big Boulder 5. Jack Frost - Haven’t skied the others Vermont 1. Sugarbush 2. Okemo Colorado 1. Vail 2. Wolf Creek 3. Arapahoe Basin 4. Keystone 5. Crested Butte 6. Loveland 7. Monarch 8. Breckenridge 9. Copper 10. Winter Park 11. Steamboat 12. Beaver Creek 13. Eldora Utah 1. Alta 2. Snowbird (only #2 because it kicked my butt) 3. Deer Valley 4. True, I'd rather ski than not ski tho. Maybe open up an hour early for season pass holders? I don't know. Hopefully we can all do our part and we won't have to worry about any of it.2 points

But then everyone in the line would be fuk’ed because we all know how that goes. Interesting, I’d never though Bo would be an essential worker but there ya go2 points

that's child's play. start working from home and you'll end up forgetting when you showered last.2 points

It's only recycling if there is a market for it. Unfortunately in certain situations the recyclables get tossed in a landfill because it's either much more expensive to recycle it or there is no recycling capacity at the time. I met a guy who worked for one of the big trash firms and I was shocked to learn that.2 points

There will never be testing like that, and testing is still incredibly limited. There still are not enough tests. Edit: I realize you weren't asking me but I answered anyway. Carry on.1 point

Speaking of which, here are today’s numbers (albeit Monday #’s). Good trends but means squat without universal testing1 point

Yeah, it should be self-sort and dispose to limit anybody being exposed to others. I'm glad recycling is still continuing here. We produce a lot more recycling than garbage. I could have garbage pick-up once a month and still have plenty of room in the can.1 point
-
one thing truly pissing me off about all of this is that the trash/recycling center won't take my damn recyclables. i had to start taking full trash bags to my garage a while ago since the shed was no longer big enough. then i'll prob have to make multiple trips with them when they do open. then i'll have to wait behind 20 boomers who will hand sort their recyclables in front of me, rather than doing it at home. damn it.1 point

I just don't get the hypocrisy of all these politicians, etc. They tell everyone to wear masks, social distance, quarantine for 14 days, yet hardly any were wearing masks before this, and now "modified quarantine". Where's Trump's and the chiefs of staff's masks? Mandated to come in to work?1 point

Silverton certainly checks the on hill box.1 point

Yes ... A tradition we started on our first trip out West. 37 years ago. Our goal was to ski the "top 30" ski resorts in the West, as voted on by the readers of Ski Magazine. Our trip to Whitefish completed the goal. We also tried to ski many of the lesser known areas too. A few didn't have coffee mugs either so we would include their maps in resorts from the same trip.... Cooper for example. Also in that image is our "log book" which is filled with most of our trips to TLCITW as well as our many trips out West...1 point
