Kennett Square is closing down a stretch of the main road to allow “outdoor business” starting today at 4pm. It’ll be interesting to see how crowded that gets. Cases in southern chester county have remained low for the most part, but I’m sure we’ll see a spike with everyone going out again and going to the beach, lakes, etc etc.
Next closest (according to the true up vert on mountainvertical.com) is sugarbush at 2552 feet (36 overall...WF is 15). Killington true up vert is 1645. I know there's more to it than vert but interesting none the less. I can't wait to blast down Upper skyward, to Victoria, to base this winter.
Also, it took time to spread to inland. The northeast is pretty good now, but the areas that all had low cases while we were hunkered down are now experiencing their spikes having thought they had already weathered the storm. It just hadn't got there yet, and now they've already experienced their lockdown fatigue.
Those republicans are idiots. PA is a success for how this was handled for having two major cities and being so close the NYC. Of course things could have been handled better but they could have been a lot worse. You can only do so much with with information and you have. Still crushing it compared to most states.
