  3. Right when this whole shit show started, buckmans sent out an email campaign advertising that they had facemasks/gaiters/necktubes/etc in stock. What was the main image in the email, you ask? One of those neoprene masks with nose and mouth holes, of course.

  4. We get them all. Other morning I looked out the bedroom/office window to see some type of remains in the yard (wife disallowed next to take a pic of the remains) which through the fog of flies chowing down, looked to be that of a fox, probably dropped by a coyote. I had planned on getting a shovel out later and tossing it into the woods later on, but the cleanup crew got to it first.

  5. people are slacking off at work here as well. Part of me says "you be you, do what you want", but all of me wants no contact with those people. I had to call one of my suppliers yesterday to tell her anybody that comes here needs to wear a mask to enter our shop, or talk to an employee. Outside on your own, im ok with not wearing a mask. I am also blown away that people (not wearing a mask) feel its totally cool to walk up to me (wearing a mask) and have a conversation. Do they really think im wearing a mask to protect myself from me? Point is, i cant believe people would enter your place with out a mask on if there is a sign. I would never do that to anyone. All of the places i have had to make contact with require masks, and/or do curbside pick up for parts. A lot of places still dont want outside people in their buildings, which works just fine for me, we call stuff in, and they put it outside for us. has actually sped up the whole going out to get parts deal. If i was in any kind of delivery type service, i would require my employees to wear masks. not wait for someone to tell them they have to wear a mask to be onsite.

  6. They made the decision to keep the clubhouse closed at my place in the Poconos, which kind of surprised me. Personally i think it was a great decision, but they are getting heat from it like crazy on FB. I cant believe how quick people are to wanting to go back into crowded places, and that place can get really crowded. Also, which is funny, is now people are asking for their membership fee back since the club isnt opening. $30. Bitchin about $30. Most of these people are second home owners. If that $30 is going to change your world so much, maybe reconsider not joining when it is open. People piss me off.

  7. How come you haven't tried to cut "PASR" into that luscious lawn yet?

  8. True. just keep in mind i work with a guy that showed up wearing a saltyant ski mask thinking it made a good face covering. you know, the kind with an open nose hole, and a bunch of little holes over the mouth.

  9. I would say 75% of the people who live there are from NYC or NJ. The place is only full during the summer months, the rest of the year it is only like 1/3 occupied. The hideout is probably the only thing me and ski999 would disagree about. It sucked for many reasons: 1. No trash collection, you have to drive your trash in your own personal car 5-10 minutes to the trash center. This might not bother everyone, but when you drive a Ford Focus SE, you have to be extra careful to not dirty up such an amazing vehicle. 2. Gated entry. This is Wayne county, not Beverly Hills. (They charge you for the entry card) 3. Guests were not allowed through with their personal vehicles unless you got a guest pass over 24 hours in advance 4. Super anal about fireworks 5. no mailbox, you have to drive 5 mins to a central location 6. security guards who pull you over and write “speeding tickets” lol 7. Neighbors who are snitches 8. fines for parking Your car in front of the house 9. 10 minute drive to Hamlin (the convenience store closed at 10:30 each night)

  11. Nice. Within the last few weeks I have seen fox, bear, bobcats, bald eagles, timber rattlers, and the usual dear. It probably seems like there are more animals out but I think it is just that more people are home and noticing them.

  14. I'm out in New Tripoli. So I guess people think because this is the boondocks that the virus magically isn't here. When I say something I get the look from locals like, "you don't really buy into this shit do you?" I just tell them I don't want to deal with any repercussions so I'd appreciate if they'd humor me and put the mask on.

  17. One of my co workers allegedly had it....I had to quarantine for 10 days...I like to believe wearing a mask and washing/sanitizing my hands and everything else kept me safe.............Does anyone else have to work with total effin idiots??

  18. When I was younger we rented at the hideout for a week in the summer a few times. The Hamlin Diner close by was excellent. There was also a sweet driving range near there with go carts and shit. Not sure if that's still there but that place was rad.

  19. A private gated community near Hamlin that has its own ski hill. Even with the ski hill it is by far the worst place I have ever lived. The people who live there like it though and think it’s paradise

  22. Holy shit they went off on that bush. Back in the day when it used to actually snow in PA, I loved looking at the snow each morning to see what animals came by the night before, it amazes me the parade of wildlife that stops over when we are sleeping. They captured the bear yesterday that has been Roaming around Downingtown/Coatesville. It also amazes me how some of these bears can avoid detection in urban areas. I believe the Delco bear from a year or so ago made his escape in the city of Wilmington and got away. On Sunday I noticed some weird poop In my parents yard. Thought it might be bear poop but after looking at google it might just have been a deer taking an epic shit

  23. the private club (bar) finally opened up near us on friday. pretty exciting since that is the only place i frequent aside from blue. i have a feeling they won't be at capacity anytime in the near future tho since they changed the smoking policy. it was one of the only draws for 60+% of the members. @GrilledSteezeSandwich you're gonna bring that table to blue next season right?

  24. People are really fucking shitty and entitled. This stretch of time where instead of meeting with families, I’ve instead mailed out contracts to those who want to order has been great. You don’t know how many people come into my office and are difficult and pushy from the start....makes me wish I had fuck you money. This is my new office.

  25. I wish I had your optimism. From what I've seen I think too many people think it is "back to normal". Most places that I've seen are more like this place that NJ shut down. https://www.lehighvalleylive.com/coronavirus/2020/06/nj-bar-has-outdoor-dining-license-revoked-after-beer-garden-packed-with-people.html I haven't heard of PA shutting any places down. In reality, nothing has changed with the virus. We're approximately where we were when we shut down. Cases will only continue to go up.

  28. I only have two co-workers..one is out on the road mostly and the other is working from home. When I gave delivery driver a ride a few weeks ago from truck service station we both wore masks. I haven’t seen my office manager since 3/20 and she’s thrilled that I said she can work from home as long as she wants.

  31. I think we will hang between 300-600 daily for a while but I think there will be an increase in a few weeks after the state goes green and people think it is a good idea to eat inside restraunts regularly. I've seen some business post that going green means that they are back to normal. If that is the perception that their employees and patrons have, I think we will be in for a rude awakening like some of the coastal states are seeing now from SC to FL areas. I hope I am wrong. Only time will tell.

  32. Deer have totally fucked up my arborvitaes, at my house in Delco. Fucked them up. I new i had deer stopping by, i saw them on my cameras. what i didnt see was exactly what they were doing to them. I had a new neighbor move in next to me, i saw her talking to her landscape guy, they were sort of pointing at my house, when he saw me, he asked if we had a deer problem around here. i told him i had seen deer frequently. Thats when he really pointed out what they had done to my bushes. No shit.....they look like this. its horrible.

  34. Since my business reopened to the public, the majority of people showing up have not been wearing masks. They just come on in and ignore the sign on the door.

  37. Some of my family members had Covid, but their situation was a tad unique I guess. My cousin was in Malawi for the past 6 months working in a hospital before he starts his residency this fall and flew home right in the beginning of this whole thing and essentially gave his entire family Coronavirus. My aunt was sick for like 2 weeks with what she described as a not so great flu and the two college aged boys were sniffly and had a fever for maybe 48 hours.

  38. I have distant relatives in their late 70’s, a brother and sister who lived in the same house in Wilkes barre. The brother got it and was deathly ill, to the point of not being expected to survive. He made a miraculous recovery luckily but is still in the hospital with a long road ahead. The sister tested positive as well but did not feel a single symptom, only knew she had it after getting tested when he was diagnosed. This was in late March when like only 10% of Luzerne county cases were outside of hazleton
