I have....many times and each time I'm baffled as to how you got them looking that way. Haha2 points

Might want to do a bunch of research into Soul's on the Ice coast. Skiing and liking them out West may not translate as well to back here.2 points

Skied Hunter today with @GSSucks. Since I’m #Epic this year, figured I might as well use the pass on the East Coast as well. 5:25am departure and smooth sailing and arrived at Hunter 2h40m later. Got my Epic Pass pretty quickly and we were on the snow a few minutes after they opened. This is my second longest opening day run (the first being T2B Mount Snow with @GrilledSteezeSandwich) ... 1600ish vert (?) in variable conditions is enough of a leg burner on the first day. Pretty thin cover meant grooming was tough as they had almost nothing to work with. It was firm up top and spring like down at the bottom. Weather ranged from bluebird, to overcast, to snowing, to pissing rain. We skied for 2 hours and when a 30 minute rain storm rolled in we retreated to the lot for some beers.2 points

I’ve read up some and haven’t found anything too scary. I’d love to get a chance to demo them at Blue but I doubt we’ll see a demo day this year. If the shop has them to demo I’ll pony up to try them. I’m not in a huge hurry to replace the 88s, and I would probably keep trucking them along as a fall back at least until I had a number of days in most conditions to feel comfortable leaving them home. Not like space is a premium with the truck bed. Except Gaper day, lol. I did demo the Sky 7 a couple seasons ago at Blue and liked them, but feel like it’s too close to my current ski to make sense to add them.1 point

Nah, not picturesque but damn near the opposite of depressing. They be sliding at mock silly for day-one. That’s a day worth having Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk1 point

East coast skiing is off to a start that is 100% expected for 2020. Hope it changes for the better sooner than later.1 point

Like a few years ago when blue opened for two days in early December and didn’t reopen until early January. I’d rather ski those sort of conditions than blues normal cookie opening. WTGAI Atomic Jeff.1 point

Do it! ... I leave for SLC on Thursday night and returning the following Friday.. Will be spending my time at Brighton. I will look to head back out the beginning at April for a second week to get my money worth for the weekday season pass. Luckily this trip(hotel/car) is paid for by points from work travel1 point

that was an exceptional purchase for having no idea what you bought.1 point

I decided I'm probably going to Salt Lake City the first week of March. I like that the hotels in SLC are pretty cheap and not that far from the mountains. I'll rent an SUV which is a little pricey but since the hotels aren't too expensive it wont be a big deal. I'll research the places discussed on here and probably stick to 1 mountain, maybe 2. Currently looking at Solitude. TFTI1 point

Gonna try my best to ski as much as possible. There is also still construction in the canyon which makes Eldora a pain in the ass as well. Just trying to go with the flow this weird season. Have 2 more friends that are getting into the backcountry so hopefully we will have a nice crew this season.1 point

Yeah a necessary evil. Eldora parking reservations are already all booked for mornings thru February. Thinking about deferring my Ikon Pass and just using my Epic. Could be cool to check out some new places.1 point

Def spring skiing day at Hunter One run open (Hellgate etc) with 1450 vert off HS6. Skied strsight onto lift first few runs. Soft bumps formed quick.. Lines were up to 10 min when we called it quits after 7 runs when bare spots and crowds on trail were becoming an issue. Mashed potatoes by then. Very nice 1st day out with girls.1 point

Boots, jacket, gloves, nespresso machine...I'm done. I'll look at replacing the sick days (probably with a newer pair of sick days) next season.0 points
