As long as we are masked up it really shouldn't be an issue for me. I'm not sure how comfortable I feel with 7 on the 6pack though. Maybe @JFskiDanhas some thoughts.9 points

Got bases cut last night, hoping to get edges on tonight. I’m still planning on having them finished by year end to ski in early 2021 if ski season is still a thing in 2021. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk8 points

I would agree with this. the amount of time i spend at work wearing a mask, is nothing compared to the amount of time i would spend any given day wearing a mask in line or on the lift. I havent tested out my Covid equipment with my googles yet, but the only time i see the need for myself to lower my mask is when im actually skiing to avoid the fogging of the googles. my theory is, there is a light at the end of the tunnel to this year long nightmare, and im not going to put myself or anyone else at further risk, just because i am "sick of it". I think mostly everyone here makes good decisions. The funny thing is, i mean sometimes ski boots arent the most comfortable things to wear, but we put up with them in order to ski. Mask just isnt that big of a deal.5 points

That's weird because some weekday mornings once people were at home for rona were busy. It will just be so nice to go skiing !!!3 points

I'm not opposed. I've realized that I'm going to have to make sacrifices this year and that there will be some things which might be frustrating. I'll just have to deal with it and just be glad that they are open.3 points

Gotta make up for the lack of school groups I guess. This could be the year of the night sesh if hours will be normal and there will be no school groups. Even@toast21602 will need to get in on that goodness. Under the stars...with the mountain to yourself is where it's at.3 points

Agreed. I'm assuming PASR's are taking precautions to avoid COVID so I'm good riding with you guys...just no sharing beers or holding hands on the lift3 points

The FB complaining is pretty funny. I guess at some point they have tickets for $109. I think tix to jfbb will be in line with that. Blue needs to maximize their revenue, with limited day pass tickets. I dont blame them at all for raising day pass prices.2 points

I am so fuckin happy I don't have to deal with any of the reservation shit at Blue....Like when the system crashes....2 points

Every year is the year to have a season pass. Only one year I didn’t have a season pass since the 95-96 ski season and that was the year after I graduated from college and I didn’t know what I was doing with my life. I still skied Blue, Hunter, Stowe, Mad River Glen and Jackson hole but not a lot of days. Less than 20.2 points

Brattleboro was awesome when I was there last winter. Very cool town with that quintessential VT vibe. Grab a brew at Hermit Thrush2 points

This would make me nuts. i have figured out that i like going to work. Still sometimes not super crazy about my job, but going to work is nice. Its funny, i look forward to the end of the work week, but sometimes around sunday afternoon i start to get a little bored, and looking forward to work again monday morning. The introduction of skiing this weekend will be a welcome distraction from everything else.2 points

I’ll ride with anyone here, won’t be offended if anyone doesn’t wanna ride with me, I know my job has given me more exposure than many. Pops and I are effectively in the same bubble and imagine we’ll take most rides together which works out for lift beers.1 point

The fact that Blue is selling a four hour ticket where you must be scanned in for first lift ride before noon has me thinking the 11am or noon start is some rumor started by Mrs. Snowbunski.1 point

I’m planning on more weekday morning sessions this season and less night sessions mainly because I don’t go into work until 11ish most days since this pandemic began. Gonna be weird having to set an alarm clock again.1 point

They are now selling tickets on their website for next week during the week like the 14th,15th,16th looks like $79 midweek 4 hour tickets and $109 midweek 8 hour tickets. Only about 80-90 available for each session midweek for 8 hour tickets and about 300 available for the 4 hour beginning in the AM. 68 four hour tickets available for opening day at $49 and only a few for Saturday and Sunday at $58 and $53 respectively. I have to go in a few days a week for payroll and paper work. And our business requires client interaction at both their homes and our showroom. And we're a paper-intensive business, so setting up at home meant bringing a lot of files to my basement. After things improved and we got very busy again, I just moved everything back tot he showroom and have been in 90% of the days. So I'll have to come up with a plan to bring what I need home again etc.... Just a bit of a hassle to work out of two desks.1 point

Lift is a mask reprieve for me so prob ride single mostly unless it’s somebody cool like johnny law. I haven’t been smack next to somebody except hairdresser in months so don’t know my comfort level. I’ll play it by ear. If a random person wants to ride with me absolutely not.1 point

Might be unpopular opinion but before my office closed permanently I was one of the people wanting to go back in a few days a week when safe. For me it was more along the lines of switching things up. Being in my house for 22 hours of the day is starting to get old.1 point

I’m happy for blues microclimate..they very well could have the valley open for Xmas week while bear creek will struggle to open with a bonk yard1 point

I concur. If it was open Sat, i would probably ski that as much in one day as i did all last year. But really, just the extra terrain for opening would be such a better offering.1 point
