I got the edges glued on both bases last night, I should be starting on the cores tonight. To get to this point on the first pair I had about 12 hours into the skis, I have about 1.5 hours in total into this pair so far. The second pair is going so much better with all the things I learned from the first pair.10 points

Glad to hear you're as immature as me haha. One of our customers at work is Cox Communications. A while back, we got a big payment from them and I was discussing it with the treasury manager who said "I'm just gonna sit on Cox for a while"...I couldn't stop laughing6 points

I'll be there Friday and Sunday, Saturday I have a cookie making date with my daughter. It's going to be a shit show for sure but i don't give a fuck. It will be so nice to ski and hang out with the best degens in Carbon/Lehigh County5 points

They are doing what they need to. If they can only sell 100 tickets, i bet there are 200 people trying to get them. So why sell out in 10 mins at $50. if a customer doesnt want to pony up $$$ to ski, there is likely 6 people behind him that will. Let them fuckers that are complaining go somewhere else. they probably litter and are bad for stoke. Plus i just love when people make threats on FB like "im gonna drive 4 hrs and go to Elk instead". Yeah ok, hope your gas is free. Season passes are looking stupid cheap right about now.5 points

One of the owners friended me on FB last year and it’s been even more of a turn off then the brewery social media. I’d rather give my money to Lost, Bonn, or McCalls.4 points

My wife and I were discussing caulking around a door frame in our family room where there was a gap, and with the walls being brown I suggested that she get some brown caulk and then I almost pissed myself laughing. Sometimes you gotta rock out with your caulk out. I think the upcoming beginning of ski season is making me silly.4 points

I'm the same way. When drive to Scranton as you go by Cameltoe there is a town called "Scotrun" and I see scrotum every time.4 points

i will be right there with you. the last thing i want to do is go inside after 1 run, while the rest are making sweet turns down Vista. the web site does tell me i have an active pass, though. Just a thought here, if anybody has any computer hacking skills, theres about 6 passes i would like to be able to shut off randomly during the course of the year. Let me know.3 points

Got up the pass right before they closed it. Getting deep up there3 points

I know the skiing might not be quite as epic as where ever skitoolive is going, but seeing you fuckers again will be great. before i can have "is my pass gonna work" anxiety, i need to get over "im not really sure where my pass is" anxiety.3 points

WTF is wrong with me, I can't read the word "Slocum" without first seeing "Scrotum". I think I have some kind of reading disability or something.3 points

The name Slocum is pretty cool in the NEPA region when you know the history. There is a state park called Frances Slocum up there that I've been going to since I was born. The story of the name is below: Frances Slocum The park is named for Frances Slocum, a young girl who was kidnapped by American Indians. Frances was one of ten children of Mr. and Mrs. Jonathan Slocum. This Quaker family lived on what is now North Street in Wilkes-Barre. On November 2, 1778, a small group of Delaware Indians entered the Slocum home and carried away Frances, who was five years old. The first night after her abduction was spent in a crude shelter under a rock ledge along Abraham Creek, believed to be within the state park boundary. She tried to escape during the first night but was quickly recaptured. Frances was taken along as the Delaware Indians moved westward and spent the rest of her life with them. Her brothers never gave up the search. Fifty-nine years after her abduction, they found her living on a reservation near Peru, Indiana. She had been married twice and had borne four children. Frances refused the pleas of her brothers to return to Pennsylvania. The brothers wrote to her and learned many of the details of her abduction and life with American Indians. Frances Slocum died in Indiana in 1847, at the age of 74. Mississinewa Lake in Indiana contains the Frances Slocum State Recreational Area and Lost Sister Trail. Along the Mississinewa River in Indiana, there is a monument that marks the final resting-place of Frances Slocum, also called Maconaquah, the “Young Bear.”3 points

Hey All, Opening weekend is fast approaching. The temperatures look to be comfortable and stoke is at an all time high after the longest off season many of us have ever experienced. Who is gonna be in the house? I plan on skiing all three days. I tried on my boots last night and wow are they tight. Being barefoot most of the last 9 months has not helped and I think my calf’s grew from all my walking. I’m looking forward to easing into the skison with some runs and fun.2 points

Yeah, and we can all go on and on about it but nothing will change anyone's opinions on the situation. There are people who prioritize public health and there are people who prioritize the autonomy of a business. Is either wrong? Only in the views of the other. The BFD about all of this is that we are still allowed to play with our gravity sticks on man-made snow in a few days with virtually no restrictions that will impact us at Blue.2 points

I think they value not having to close the establishment they worked hard to open and lose their livelihood in the middle of a pandemic where the opportunity to get a new job is incredibly difficult now. I can just see both sides of the coin here2 points

I’d be more likely to spend my money at a business that actively went against Wolf’s standards.2 points

I heard he caught it by having a beer without any food. That being said I'll make sure to bring some chips this weekend to the parking lot. My first thought when I read it was that it might be a false positive.2 points

Thanks for sharing! It's good. Glad to see some east coast love. Katie Burrell might be one of my favorites lately. I love Dream Job but I'm sucker for romcoms. Still Solo is pretty funny.2 points

Unfortunately I won’t be there for opening day, I have an appointment on Friday morning I cannot reschedule. I’m thinking about Saturday morning at the moment. I’m stoked to be back at Blue. Big Snow was good for a quick fix, but there’s nothing like being back a Blue.1 point

I mean.......... What difference does testing make if 'government' isn't going to do anything about it. And there's no vaccine. I bought a new jacket today and just tried on my ski boots.1 point

Then the customers and staff aren’t going to be as careful. Wolf actually cares. Look at governor DeSantis in Florida he fired his data scientist for not fudging the data so she started her own Covid dashboard and state police raided her house the other day. They’re nuts in Florida no regulations at all..a facebook friend said Covid is over here and when the Tampa hockey team was in the playoffs she was interviewed in a huge crowd at a packed bar.1 point
