Thx for this. I just made a $629 donation to the local economy. But not really sure I want to be a member of any country club that would have me as a member Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk8 points

Everything about yesterday felt good...waking up at 5:30, driving up in the dark, my ritual of Whitehall wawa, booting up in the lot, finally hitting the slopes after 9 months (longest I’ve gone in betweeen snowboarding since 8th grade I think), riding down multiple T2Bs on opening day, and seeing my fellow PASRs. props to blue for putting in the work to open this past weekend! Salute to the PASRs for being legit as ever...glad to see y’all again now I will spend the next 2-3 days anxiety ridden over this potential storm: 1. Will I be shoveling the driveway at 3-4 am Thursday to make sure I can get to blue? (the snowblower died during the Jan 2016 blizzard 2. Will I drive to the Poconos and realize I have no chance of making past say Lehigh valley exit? 3. Will I park at BMDI and walk/hitchhike? only time will tell...5 points

Really fun day / night. Better than I thought it would be. Was actually a good amount of people there. No lines but most chairs were full. The stoke levels are always higher when the place is covered in snow. Is camelback even open yet?4 points

They also need to toe the line of making some money and staying afloat, or getting too busy and being the cause of a state-wide ski area shutdown, which no one wants. It's not a problem that's specific to blue either, I'm assuming. I think blue's doing the best they can to make sure we, and they, have as normal a ski season as possible this year, and I think they've done a good job so far. But yeah, last little reminder for people to buy season passes might get them a good chunk of cash to get through a slower than normal start of the season/holiday period.4 points

Sounds like a personal problem. That is a disgusting thing to post here.4 points

I know this is weird and I should be only concerned with Pocono snowfall, but I’m getting nervous as shit the significant snow will miss Philly area. It’s been years since a good snowfall down here. That ice/sleet line is scaring me4 points

I hope Philly gets shit on with a massive snow dump because that’s where the bosses live/work and much like the locals they act like there’s no snow anywhere if it’s not in their way.3 points

I’m planning on skiing tomorrow AM 9-10:30..anybody else? This little bit of new snow should groom in nicely and I’m guessing the snowmaking cannons will be back on.3 points

I have a perfect way to determine if any white person between age 25-45 is a liar. Asked them if they used to like Limp Bizkit...if they say no...they are a fucking liar.3 points

I think that pulling the rebar and hay is the reason they blew up a water line under the valley lodge. They wanted to water new grass seed on Coming Soon, so they decided to fire up the water line to spray it and BOOM, flooded the lodge, which is why the sport shop moved and they built the tuning center wing.3 points

Unlikely. I think its going to be fairly cold when it snows, so it will be good snow to ski in, but not great for anything that doesnt have any base already. A foot of light snow wont really pack dow to much. Honestly, the best thing might be a foot of the heaviest snow possible for base making.3 points

I hope Philly gets shit on with a massive snow dump. I love the pictures of city streets down to one lane because of nowhere to put the snow.3 points

this is smart of them to do. I'm such an asshole, if i ran the place i would have done it in October.2 points

I think this is right. If I remember correctly it was removed at some point last season. I'm really excited that this 40th anniversary trail will be ready for the 50th in a few years.2 points
-
Yeah same here. It would only be one run anyway with how little is open. Unless you get creative off trail but there is no base. Lets hope this storm actually happens, builds a base that doesn't melt away, and more storms come. Today's snow is a nice teaser.2 points

Either way "action news" will act as if the storm is of apocalyptic proportions and compel every resident of the Delaware Valley run for the supermarkets too stock up on bread and milk.2 points
-
I don’t think so. We were talking about this in the lot on Saturday and the general consensus was to let someone else go first and find out. It would be boner city if blue actually removed them and the trail was in play for the first time.2 points
