Hey All, I’m back from the first sausage Sunday of the skison. I arrived at the lower lot at 720AM and Johnny law was already in the house. Also in attendance were Atomic Jeff, JFDan, PSUFly, Enjorales, Pops, Antman, enjorales cousin, Toast, Schifdawg, BenM, Salty, Falco, Eddie, Charles, Bethlehem ford guy, Slim as Santa Claus, Rick, GahSkier george, TP4, Matt Edge, Zack and many others. Second civilian six pack today and first run on Main Street had some fresh manmade Poe on top of nice groomed snow..a little herky jerky middle of the run and the bottom wasn’t that mad. Lazy mile was ok, falls was rough, Paradise had a lot of cookies but could have been worse and Midway had super nice smooth snow. Temperatures were in the upper 20s and the gun show was in full effect on the east side..after 9 or 10 runs went back to the lot for beer and had sausage, pork belly, more sausage and I believe pork loin. There was also chicken thighs as well. The sun never came out but my homegirl Annie says the sun will come out tomorrow when most of us are at work..all in all a fun day..I’ll be back out sometime midweek maybe Tuesday night or Wednesday AM.. Drove right past Hunter today and ended up doing a fun little tour in the Catskills, ended up with about 4k of vert and found a truck that was the drive for a lift in the 60’s Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk8 points

Fun day. Tuts to Connector to Come Around to Midway to Lower Main Street to Shuttle to Homestretch was the ROTD for me. Was on my new touring setup today testing it out, and no issues. Threw my back out putting my skis into my car. Getting old. Also, thanks to @mute1080 for the Guzzles that @enjoralas got to enjoy.7 points

PASR group XC at Jacobsburg State Park this afternoon was a ton of fun. Shout out to @mbike-ski for the elite loaner gear and for @Mixilplix for picking up my pieces every time I fell. @AtomicSkier joined in as well to test out his new skinz. We ended up doing about 3 miles from the environmental center up the ridge to the meadows and then back down through Henry's Woods. I was surprised at the amount of xc track that was already laid. Saw a few other people out there as well. Good shit. Looking forward to doing it again. I'm currently browsing gear online because this was an absolute blast.5 points

I can guarantee you no one is making a counterfeit season pass to save 10% in the cafeteria5 points

Everybody knows this is Vails business model. But if they arent producing a good product at these resorts, its unlikely they will keep the local passholders entertained. I guess they feel thats an acceptable loss. you bailed on Frost last week because their offering of trails wasnt up to your high standard. PoconoOceanCity was a JFBB passholder for years. made one trip to Hunter. Made the move to CB. Not every passholder wants or has the ability to travel to Huntah, snow, or out west.4 points

Love it! Sorry I missed the festivities this morning, I’m here now with fam3 points

Wao, Midway has been my favourite run so far this season. 2 days in a row of it feeling like a western groomer, and hardly anyone on it! Nice!3 points

Was an awesome afternoon , look for NNN BC stuff, metal edge skis - burlier than the NNN setup you ski’d but lighter and quicker than the 3 pins Mixilpix and I were on Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk3 points

Belle Gore and Whiteface. Personally I only planned on using it midweek because 25% off doesn't entice me as much as midweek skiing and 50% does. And it's not just belle...its all. Here's what wf says.. Frequent Skier Cards are SOLD OUT!!! All Frequent Skier Card tickets must be purchased online in advance. We are presently selling tickets for Monday-Friday outside of blackout periods. For now, Frequent Skier Card ticket sales for weekends and blackout periods are paused, but we will be adding inventory exclusively for you in the coming days. Please note that tickets for 12/24/20-1/3/21 are sold out, so tickets we add will be for dates following Christmas Week. We will continually evaluate the availability of dates as we go through the season, so please check back2 points

They wear masks there. You don't in a restaurant. That is the difference. I'm not sure why people struggle to make that connection.2 points

Today was awesome ! Decent snow with some new stuff open and sausage Sunday!!! The pork belly was fucking unreal as always enjo killed it but the most impressive part was him crushing 19oz of pure American go go juice. I rode over NMDW last night and it looked to be about 50% of the way there on snow.2 points

Barely any of the newly released tickets for today have been sold. Like 30-40 for the morning session.2 points

It's never that I say this ... but @Ski2Live Live2Ski has the pulse on this one. FWIW - I had no issue reserving JFBB on Xmas day on my Epic pass. It's a "free" option to ski on Xmas day. 🤷♂️2 points

12/18/20. Opening day. 23° Overcast, No Wind On mountain around noon after clearing driveway, shoveling decks and gearing up. No liftlines, ski right on most every time. Only a few not wearing masks. Looked in lodge and only a few people inside Standard opening day trails open. Beginners, east, west, susquehanna, tioga. In addition lackawanna spur, hiawatha, and Seneca...the natural trail under the C lift. Surface soft and cut up. Susquehanna was moguled up inconsistently. Seneca was down to grass and dirt in most places. Poachers were boot deep in natural on Slalom. Snowmaking on Delaware and Tunk.. Now... Hey All, I’m back from a fun session at Blue mountain the true mountain. I arrived at the lower lot at 720AM and it was 8 degrees and in freezing fog. In the house were JFDan, Atomic Jeff, Root, PARidge, BenM, MBike Mike, Mrs. Snowbunski, Enjoralas, Pops, Enjorales cousin, Eddie, Falco, Charles, Rodney, Drew, Antman, Slim, Ryan, Mute, NMSki, Salty, Bethleham Ford Guy and many others. As we hoofed it out to the six pack it wasn’t open yet so began on the quad..first civilian four pack second day in a row for the PA skiing historical society..has to be some sort of record. The ride up was icy and cold with guns a blazing. First run was Main Street and it was kind of funky and chunky on top..lower left was smooth..shuttle had some amazing freshies and home stretch was mad technical Yo!! Lazy mile had nice snow a little soft and then into the fog in Falls which I seriously picked my way down cause I CSS couldn’t see shit. The race kids were out for the first time this season but no gates set up for them. The Chute opened today..looked icy AF so didn’t ski it..one run on Tuts a snowsnake grabbed my pole and I had to go back up and grab it. I probably burned off half of a Doritos. I skied Burma and back as well and the full lazy mile. I skied till 930 and was covered and smothered with manmade Poe as the snowmaking cannons were cranking out sneaux in Paradise, Razors, Challenge, lower park and many other runs. The parking lot was fun..had some beer and chips and it was up into the 20s which was still chilly but warmer than earlier. Pops even bought a pizza from the one food stand and the slice I had was MSY mad Steezy yo..all in all it was JADIP just another day in paradise and I’m thinking the bakery on Paradise will open tomorrow for fresh cookies..bring your own milk.1 point

When are you all heading up? I didn't see anything on their site from 1996, but I would call before heading up just to make sure.1 point

Watched a guy buy a single 16oz chocolate milk with ebt and get back into his car plastered with trump stickers. I gave up that day.1 point

I can make that connection, but I find it hard to believe that 300 people in a Walmart picking things up and putting them back, etc etc etc is any less dangerous than a restaurant at 30% capacity. 90 percent of the people I see in Walmart or the grocery stores (employees included) don’t even have the mask pulled up above their nose.1 point

Damn politics. Must be getting drunk. Pour another i guess. Bonns got these dope gold glasses.1 point

Thanks. They did advertise it as valid on weekends and holidays with a 25% discount so I could see how people would be pissed.1 point

Its ridiculous. Failure of government everywhere. I really don't get how anyone can say shut down and then not provide funding.1 point

Looking forward to getting some of that Enjo meat in my mouth sooner than later. Had to dip out early to get some schoolwork done, but Lazy and Main Street first thing this morning was great. Loving these full length runs only a week into the skison1 point

Great day...pork belly burnt ends were awesome. Nice to have paradise open today1 point

Right, I was just poking Steeze because I had speculated that maybe someone had indicated that they thought they could have Lazy open for Thursday, and speculated that perhaps that led marketing/sales to release additional tix helping contribute to Thursday’s “shitshow” and his response was “Opening Lazy wouldn’t lead to more tickets, more lifts would.” Then 24(ish) hours later posted “Due to additional terrain Blue released 300 more tickets.”1 point

I've actually seen more than a few videos of long lines of people at drive up food banks and I don't watch cable "news". I saw it for real when I went to drop off a donation to the local food bank last Thursday night. I didn't know it was also a pick-up time. There were a lot of cars in line for food a few minutes before they even opened. It encourages me to make another donation tonight. The $600 is just pandering for votes in the upcoming Senate election. Like most people on this forum, I don't need it. Nor does most of the population. They should give it to the restaurants and other businesses and people who are actually hurting. A large majority of people getting the $600 are just going to stick it in the bank. I'll spend it on businesses hurting and I encourage anyone else who doesn't need it to do the same.1 point
