There was some form of cookies on every trail..I took switchback as a first run and it was bullet proof cord ..Came back to it later and it was staring to get cleaned off...Nothing really stood out as ROTD.....Although they did seem to get Falls smoothed out... Saw lots of noses and some maskless people in the lift line....Dropped a dime on a few of them to the lift attendant...I just don't understand why this is such a struggle... And those little race punks never look up hill when they come to trail intersections.. But I guess I really shouldn't be bitchin cause things could be worse.....8 points

Hey All, I’m back from another morning session at Blue mountain the true mountain. I arrived at the lower lot at 720am and it was 30 degrees and windy under overcast sky’s. In the house were Atomic Jeff, JFDan, BenM, Mixilplix, Tele Matt, Bethlehem Ford Guy, Rodney, Drew, Indiggio, Tarponhead, ZZSlope, Enjorales Cousin, C1 and Nastar Glenn. First civilian six pack and down a rough icy ungroomed Razors..then two in a row on Main Street which mice cord carpet on the top half and ok but stiffer and mini cookies on the lower part. Paradise was frozen and loose granular not good like the last few days. Yesterday’s warmth followed by overnight freeze deteriorated the conditions from an 8 out of 10 to a 5. We mostly rode the quad to avoid the snowguns on Sidewinder. Switchback is now open but I didn’t ski it. I’ll give it a day for the cookies to get churned up and smoothed our. Last run we took the Main Street chair and did widowmaker to midway to little gap to Burma to shuttle to lower park. All was nice except widowmaker which was mini cookies. All in all a fun short session but not the titty sparkles of yesterday. Theres still a pair of size six Columbia boots in the lot. The only people I can see them fitting are Mrs. snowbunski and Kyle. No... I just trust that most of PASR has enough sense to avoid unnecessary situations that would expose them to covid.6 points

It’s wild that they are taking a raging pandemic seriously by asking people if they are comfortable riding with people outside of their party. So gimmicky. Enjoy the limo ride to the top. You’re at a country club now.4 points

Because you think they should be jamming lifts full of people. PASR's lift sharing agreement works because 1) we have a very strict mask policy 2) we're damn good at enforcement of said policy. I'll throw you off the lift if I see your nose.3 points

Remember circa 2006 when most pocono resorts had PASR stickers...I remember sightings at BC, Blue, CB, BB, JF, Killington, Breckenridge, and I believe Park City3 points

Saltman if you want to ski WF in all its glory typically later in the season is better. Chances of lookout below, cloudspin, empire, glades and even maybe the slides are greater later in the year with accumulated snowfall.3 points

I guess we missed everyone today? Got on snow at like 8:05, skied til about 10:30. Paradise was best snow of the day again. Whatever they’re doing on paradise, please do that everywhere else. Like 1-2” of soft chalky groomed snow to start the day, and there couldn’t have been more than 10 people down it before us. Everything else was pretty good, pumptrack on the ride side of tuts needs to get rutted in a little more though. Hopefully back up Wednesday AM before I have to head back home to start building my ark. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk3 points

There’s a 293 page thread a few below this that should give you an idea of why most members on here are okay riding with other members.2 points

It was nice today. From the start Paradise was surely the best, but by 11am it acquired quite a few icy spots, which was a surprise given how well it held in the past days. Switchback didn't have any cookies at all, but it did indeed require sharp edges. Dreamweaver on the other hand had plenty of cookies. Crowd wise it was enjoyable up until about 10:30am, after that the wait on the expresses became irritating and we retreated to the slow lifts. When there was an attendant at the sixer, he went in rounds picking people from each column. If there were only two or even one person in a party, he generally tried to fill the chairs up to 3, but never to 4 asking all involved if they're OK riding together. So gimmicky. I remember good old times when people were yelled at for riding six pack in groups smaller than 5. These days I feel like I'm riding a limo on the way to the top.2 points

just a heads up that the student passes are not valid this week, not sure if you saw that or if it's what you're using. they neglected to add that fine print in the original email they sent.2 points

Glad to see they are still cranking out snow. looking forward to ripping turns down sidewinder in the near future!2 points

I just got off the phone with them.... they said if $60 is what you're seeing then $60 is what it is. Strange because if you select a multi day option the rate goes to $108 per day. The frequent skier card rate at $58 is apparently accurate as well (not $30) as there is a separate inventory for FSC holders and it's supposedly priced based on the normal day ticket rate. Bottom line...60 bucks for whiteface in March is a steal as all or most terrain is usually in play then. Barring anything crazy March 1st and 2nd are likely a go for me. May look to do Gore on Sunday the 28th on the way up...if they open tix up for weekends. If not maybe west mountain.2 points

Looking like a glitch in Whiteface tickets right now. But if you're interested in skiing WF you may want to hop on it. They're only selling midweek tickets but currently most dates on the calendar are 60 bucks if you select single day lift ticket. When you check out that price sticks too... If you select multi day however it shows $108 per day. Frequent skier card tix are 58 bucks (although if the 60 ticket price is right it should be 30 bucks). Gonna call and see whats up before i grab tix. Looking at March 1st and 2nd..probably Feb 28th too if they open Sundays.2 points

I don’t know what the f#k happened to this thread... Really awesome to be sliding on planks again! I was stunned how well everything skied (except for chute and falls). Excited for much more to come. Legs did ok for day 1. See what happens tomorrow Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk2 points

Woot! Skied winter park today. It’s day 5 of my 12 days of Christmas vacation. I woke up at 7am and checked ikon for potential reservations. I suppose people cancelled overnight so I snagged a reservation for today. Not gonna lie though. I looked at the weather and thought - shit. This looks miserable. Temp at 11, wind gust at 25 mph, and cloud cover at 80%. When I asked @Schif, do you think this will be miserable? He told me to go for it. While driving over Berthoud Pass, I was like - wtf - why did I listen to him? I arrived around 10:30. Parked in my typical G lot spot. Hopped on the beer cans and got to the base. Thought about taking the gondola but the line was craaaaay-zee. So, I took the Arrow Lift (2x). In the past 24 hours, there was 6” of fresh snow and people were hypedddd about the fresh powder. when I finally made my first run around 10:30, it was tracked out powder... but still fun. I can’t complain. After Arrow, I did laps on Prospector Express (4x) and laps on Eskimo Express (6x). I ended up doing about 11k of vert over 3 hours. The snow on Engledive had me 😍 While waiting in line I heard a voice that I thought I recognized. I foooooor sure I thought I heard VP elect Kamala Harris behind me in line. But, it wasn’t. It was a mirage. Although, I wonder what my reaction would have been if I saw VP Mike Pense at Vail. Recordless. I ended the day on Hughes & Little Pierre and it was so fun. 😍 thought these pics were funny. Hope you all are getting after it and chasing the snow too.2 points

I like the extra personal space. I'm not a fan of being wedged between 2 random jabronis.1 point

Honestly if I'm not riding the lift with pasr people I'd rather be solo. Saturday was kind of a free for all with random people jumping on the lift with me even though lift lines were non existent1 point

from what it looks like, no access this week at all. "A reminder that Dec 26th - Jan 1st is a holiday week. We are open 8am-9pm for skiing/riding and 9am-9pm for snow tubing. Student season passes are not valid this week."1 point

Awesome morning with a good pace. Best day for me at Blue this season. NMDW isnt quite on par with other trails as far as snow quality, but still skis ok, its firm, but not firm and trenched out. None of us will ever know what the ski patroler actually said to us at the top of Razors, but i doubt it was "go really fast, its skiing great" Razors was really nice, main was money.1 point

Edgie wedgie for the win! Got there a little later than I’d like, but for about 2 hours in this morning. Paradise was for sure best conditions, but the freeride word tour line is starting to get worked in nicely. Good little 3-4 hit line. Came back up in the afternoon for a little bit of school hill action. Went to summit to get a season pass and just skied up there. Unfortunately there were no magic carpet rides to be had, because someone didn’t show for their shift... got a little bit of extra workout today carrying a 30lb weight up hill repeatedly. First day on real skis, lasted about 1.5 hours with a break to explain how snowguns work, and she only fell twice, and wants to go back tomorrow. I’ll count it as a success! Great day here started out cold 8 degrees when we got to the mountain under cloudy skies. Stuck with my friend on the greens first few runs then I headed over to Paradise Bowl. After 3 runs in flat light I tried to head down to East River lift but it was closed to I had to take slow ass Teocali back up then down to the base area. They had closed Silver Queen for a bit so Res Lady had long lines. As luck would have it I saw my friend so we decided to have lunch early. Went back out and Silver Queen back opened so I just stayed in the front side with her and found some fun little trees and some Ungroomed stuff. Set up my demos for tomorrow. The ones I have been wanting to try are like the unicorn of skis can’t find them anywhere. Rossignol rally bird black ops. They always have them in a 170 which is too long for me. So I am going to try the Black Crow Camox Birdie’s tomorrow with a few others. Read good things about the Black Crows. Fun little ungroomed run for@indiggio Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk1 point
