It’s usually “having fun out here today?” In which I answer “yeah I just got out of prison so it’s been nice” and that usually stops the small talk right in it’s tracks12 points

Put the skis on today....Lots of varying conditions on just about every trail....Conditions on Paradise seem to have gotten worse by the day...NM/DW was slick/rutted/cookied up...Upper Main was good...but Lower Main was cleaned off waves of slick snow/ice......Midway was super fun..nice soft snow...but then it dumped you into Lower Main..Lazy was just OK.... But shouldn't be bitchin cause it's better than not skiing/boarding.....8 points

Thanks. It’s actually been quite enjoyable. During the fall semester and leading up to the holidays I get really busy. I’m able to manage my time well and still do the things I want but it is just mentally and physically draining sometimes. That, on top of school, has been worse this year because of the pandemic. The last three days of not setting an alarm, drinking coffee and reading all morning, taking the dog for extra walks, trying to avoid screen time and responding to emails, and doing random stuff around the house had been great. If feels good to feel refreshed. Plus, my dog has been loving it.7 points

I don't think anyone mentioned it, but you should get a code reader. $ 20 from Wal Mart - I have the same one but Harbor Freight brand https://www.walmart.com/ip/Hyper-Tough-HT309-OBD2-Scan-Diagnostic-Tool-Code-Reader-Red/54620271?wmlspartner=wlpa&selectedSellerId=0&wl13=2167&&adid=22222222227000000000&wl0=&wl1=g&wl2=c&wl3=42423897272&wl4=pla-51320962143&wl5=9007365&wl6=&wl7=&wl8=&wl9=pla&wl10=8175035&wl11=local&wl12=54620271&veh=sem&gclid=CjwKCAiA57D_BRAZEiwAZcfCxX16DY3VRsI8k_npi-6fbHGOEGCeg3rC445IgP7_7A8of5SBcisBwhoCYNQQAvD_BwE4 points

I can’t bear riding a lift with randomly because I hate most people. the pasr group also doesn’t ask you Ransom’s questions “what’s the best trail here?” “Are those twin tips?” “Do you ski park?” “Do you love this shit?” “Are you high right now?” “Do you ever get nervous?”4 points

Sad that after all the evidence and actual facts of people dying, people sick, people who have sacrificed so much, we still have people who refuse to 1) believe its real 2) get angry when they are asked to take the smallest of precautions...like wear a mask or, God forbid, wait an extra minute in a lift line to protect other people.4 points
-
Nothing ticked me off. Nobody *likes* wearing masks, it’s just something we must all do to ensure we have a ski season. Short term sacrifice. Get over yourself.4 points

7 people plus Bob couldn’t count to 6, but the one guy running the controls did. Caught up with us at the first tower and @jfskidan took the heat since he was in the middle3 points

Sweet switchback is open, that's good shit so fast. All things considered this year I'm just stoked to ski in general.3 points

Hey All, I’m back from another morning session at Blue mountain the true mountain. I arrived at the lower lot at 7:17AM and it was overcast with a temperature in the upper 20s. In the house were Atomic jeff, JFDan, Mixilplix, BenM, Justo, Enjorales cousin, Indiggio, Bethlehem Ford Guy and many others. First civilian six pack coated in fresh manmade Poe. Razors was closed from the start and not groomed and first run on Challenge was frozen and not that smooth..upper Main Street was the run of the day was better than a lot of western groomers..nice smooth and semi firm with a little cushion for the pushing. A gun midway down main street blowing out wet snot and lower Main Street was rolly Polly and not good..Jlaw would have called it spicy. Nightmare dreamweaver was similar conditions to challenge with some churned up cookies..paradise was not bad and not good..so mostly skied Main Street the rest of the time with one run on switchback which was ok top 3/4 firm and smooth and bottom rolly polly..last run was tuts lane to connector to come around to midway to little gap to shuttle to lower park. Midway had fantastic snow..skied 8 runs from 8-920 and hungout in the lot for about a half hour. All in all upper Main Street made up for the variable conditions on the rest of the hill.2 points

Eagle eyed folks here. Yeah I really just keep stats for my own benefit not figuring they would bother others. Fudged the number of runs at the aptly initialled BS to avoid outlier effect. We actually did 20 runs to get 3200 vert, and didn't want 20 teeny runs skewing my avg run length, so made it 3 runs totalling same vert so all still shorter than my avg elsewhere but not as far an outlier. Apologize if anyone is trying to compare themselves to me. Vertical per day is always accurate. And yeah a little paranoid too.2 points

Eaf you should have a beer with us in the lot this weekend. I normally keep 6 feet of distance but for you I’ll keep 2 meters.2 points

Do the mods on this site have the ability to move posts to other threads? I’m envisioning a “SaltyEaf soundoff board” where all complaints regardless of topic are moved to in one long stream of consciousness thread.2 points

I enjoyed lapping Draufganger with Pops so that I could keep saying Draufganger.2 points

Do you have a code reader? My father in law’s friend does and I can ask for a favor. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk2 points

Do you have a code reader? They are cheap and help when the light comes on so you know what you're dealing with before you have to take it in.2 points

I think you're thinking of sitzmark. There used to be a fun run with trees to the right of boulder park trail (I think that was upper sitz) but a few years ago they inexplicably cut down the trees.2 points

Because you think they should be jamming lifts full of people. PASR's lift sharing agreement works because 1) we have a very strict mask policy 2) we're damn good at enforcement of said policy. I'll throw you off the lift if I see your nose.2 points

Just had my car give me a message that engine was overheating. Checked the hood and my coolant was real low, which seemed weird. Checked with a tech and he said the reservoir was cracked. Added more coolant and will get it replaced next week1 point

There’s nothing wrong with riding a quad with someone and six pack with three other people. 2+2 works out lovely. Especially after you’ve just spent 5 minutes standing in a crowd elbow to elbow. Get over yourself and stop being selfish hypocrites. Yeah right, you can ride and eat in the parking lot with folks that you see once a week and can’t bear riding on the opposite end of a quad with someone else because your precious selves are just too good and the rest are a trash.1 point
