  1. Hey All, I’m back from another fun day at Blue mountain the true mountain. I arrived at the lower lot at 7:20am and the fog cleared off the upper mountain in a matter of a few minutes revealing ice covered trees. The temperature was in the mid 30s under overcast sky’s. In the house were Atomic Jeff, JFDan, PSUGuy, Toast, Justo, Rose, Ryan, Mute, Boo Bear, PARidge, Enjorales, Mixilplix, Pops, enjorales cousin, Charles, falco, Eddie, Slim, Indiggio, West Chester Homeys, The RealKevunThomas, bethlehem ford guy and many more. First run on challenge was nice and smooth so I repeated it. Switchback had very nice snow and fresh cord still on the third run and got slightly choppy but consistent. Paradise had hero snow, I heard nightmare to dreamweaver had cookies so I skipped it and Main Street and lazy both consistent semi spring snow. Crowds were super light initially but I could tell that they sold a good amount of tickets as a lot of NY and NJ wallets started pulling in around 10-11AM. I had pizza again today thanks to Pops and on the way back picked up some mustard for tomorrow’s sausage Sunday. In the words of Ice cube,”Today was a good day”

  6. Yeah Benm was there. Antman too. Today was good. Soft snow and empty runs on switchback and main street. Did switchback 6 times I think. Main street chair was empty but chairs were a layer of ice at first. Pizza and parking lot were awesome as usual

  7. Some of my best blue mountain runs this season. Challenge and main were spot on first thing. A few sweet empty runs on switch were had too. A fun morning for sure! Grate day.

  10. I’ll be there tomorrow! All my posts complaining about JFBB had “ski blue” somewhere in the response, so figured I’d give it a shot.

  12. I’m a Brighton fan boy. Last time I was in Utah though was before the mega passes and I understand things have changed somewhat in terms of crowds and access, then add COVID... Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

  13. Just to throw in a few cents, also having skied most of them and to spark conversation... Not that I think @saltyant isn't up for it and it's probably THE mountain to SKI when in Utah, but IMO without having someone who really knows Alta, I know he wouldn't get the full effect going there by himself. Before running with a guide with @tarponhead and not really knowing the mountain, it can feel small mainly because you're not off the beaten path where the goods reside. I kinda don't see Salty running the high traverse all the way out or hiking out to the Castles or Catharine's area. It's really not a mountain for just groomer cruising, as that's not what it's about. I think he'd be far better served at any/all the others, particularly DV, PC/C for those wide open, perfect snow trails.

  14. Arrived at 645 with Mrs Mute and thought it wasn’t going to be fun. 30° and raining but it turned out to be a good time. I counted 8 other people on the hill and I’m surprised they were even open. Snow was like wet sand and visibility was fine except at the peak. Skied until 8 and then the gloves were the first to let moisture in. Temperature was comfortable and snow wasn’t terrible so I’m glad we went.

  34. Hey All, I’m back from another fun session at Blue mountain the true mountain. I arrived at the lower lot at 7:20am and it was 22 degrees under partly sunny sky’s. In the house were Shadows, TP4, Mixilplix, Atomic Jeff, Schifdawg, Eddie, charles, Charles dad, NMSki, Indiggio, Tarponhead, Gary, Slim, MBike Mike, JFDan, Mute Ryan, Barb Green, Tele matt, Mrs Snowbunski, Falco, Antman and many more. First run I skied challenge while most skied razors and it was alright..but some ridges..Razors for once was not closed for race training and it was grate..smooth and a level softer than frozen cord with minimal cookies. Paradise was very nice and Main Street was decent with upper good and lower meh..switchback was good enough for multiple runs and nightmare dreamweaver was average which is better than its been lately. I managed 11 runs in an hour and 40 minutes due to the low crowds then hungout in the lot for a couple hours..had some chips fries and a steely pork sandwich compliments of MBike mike..all in all it was better conditions than expected and crowds were light. Ski many of y’all tomorrow.
