  1. Hey All, I’m back from a fun morning session at Blue mountain the true mountain. I arrived at the lower lot at 720am and it was in the mid 30s under overcast sky’s. A far cry from the Perder @saltyantwas experiencing up in southern Vermont. In the house were Mixilplix, Atomic Jeff, Eaf, Toast, Johnny Law, BenM, TP4, Ryan, Mute, Bethlehem Ford Guy, Rodney, silver full face helmet guy and many others. Second civilian six pack and onto the carpet which is challenge..soft packed powder..I skied switchback second and the cord was grate. Back to challenge and was still good but the surface was falling apart a lot. Upper Main Street was super nice especially along the bump line and lower Main Street was ok. I skied paradise once and while the snow was good sort of a moist chalk, there were a lot of people on that run. Crowds seemed a lighter than yesterday and Tuesday with nothing more than about a one minute wait for the six pack. I skied until 10:25am..had a quick beer in the lot thanks to Ryan and Mute and now back in the office. JADIP

  2. Solid 8.7 out of 10. Fucking sweet spring like conditions. Mashed potatoey but not sloppy. Just right. Can go fast without having to worry about root rollers. Hell yeah!

  4. One of my best days at blue, razors top and Challenge were ok, but sidewinder and then Main Street, Switchback and Lazy were great. Probably had one of my best ever runs at Blue on Main Street. Truly JF quality snow for an hour or so. People seemed pretty considerate, but there were a lot of ‘free the noses’ on the high speeds, so I was on the slow lift for a while.

  11. After work tonight, I visited Ensign Peak. If you land in SLC and want to do some trail running with a view, this spot is easy to get to. It’s almost directly behind the Capital Building. signage for Hell’s Canyon and Ensign Peak view from the statue area and more views On the way back down And back towards the start

It was too foggy or you would have had a better time.. the snow was sure nice, too bad you couldn't see it... Post a report when you get home.. 18. you can park like 3 feet from the millicent chair at brighton. you can also park like 3 feet from the cabriolet at canyons/park city west. powder mtn parking is like jf and blue, where you park at the top and ski down to the lift. basin parking is a bit more of a trek, same with DV, but DV has sweet shuttle train things that definitely give you weird if you're not wearing the finest skiwear that kjus or bogner has to offer. park city proper depending on where you stay, there's a town lift that you can walk to from your hotel/condo.

  20. You could post that same picture every day and nobody would know there difference. Skiing was great today. That snow was borderline cream cheese goodness. Some really fantastic turns on groomers today. Good seeing you all again.

  23. In continuing the EPIC theme from last weekend, I stopped at Roundtop on my way home from a work trip to DC. Figured it was only a few minutes off of 15, I might as well make some turns as I’ve never been there before. Arrived at 4:30ish, got a spot next to the lift and enjoyed some beautiful conditions. Snow was extremely grippy. Lift lines were nonexistent. Lighting wasn’t nearly as good as Blues. I skied for an hour, am currently enjoying a beer, and enjoying the beautiful evening.

  29. Catch you next time! I'll be back, love it here. Still going at it. The fog is bad on Susquehanna, but not as bad on the others. Conditions are top notch today. There are so few people here that I haven't waited in line at all today, which is just how I like it.

  42. Thanks for the shout out. The snow quality is amazing here but it's not dumping by any means, just flurries. Still by far the best conditions I've had this year since I didnt get to Blue on the powder day

  43. If there's a competition it either needs to be a winner take all race down the mountain or a whirlybird comp. Either way those corporate snobs are going down. Also winner gets the RTMs

  44. Was up 530-730 on Valley School with the fam. Lines at the 6 looked deep all night. I don’t know if it’s a weekday night thing but as Law said, mask wearing was poor, especially at the learning hill. Lifties and instructors didn’t say a word [emoji1304] Snow was decent and my whirlybirds are improving. I’m guessing they were able to get that groomer out because I saw a couple running on Razors when we were in the lot.

  46. Day 4 - Skiincy & Schif go ski touring 4 miles 3 hours Guardsman Pass: https://wbsguide.com/2227.php Schif & I woke up with plans to hit up Brighton today. Solitude yesterday was fun. It was a bounce house of bumps. We noticed that Brighton had the Great Western Express closed and we were feeling meh about it. We considered checking out Solitude Nordic center but ultimately @Schif rented a touring setup from White Pine Touring. Considering the avy danger was still moderate to high, someone died the day before, and the snow cover was thin in places, we opted for something safe and mellow to mostly stretch our legs & grab some views. This pic is looking down to the Ruby Express at DV. We drove through Deer Valley and started at the mid-mountain trailhead. We passed through the seven levels of the Deer Valley forest, through the sea of swirly-twirly switch backs, and then we toured through an underpass of a DV trail. Or, in other words... We ended up skinning under Ruby Express. About 1/2 mile in, we went through an underpass and Bandana trail was above us. Here’s a screenshot of the Deer Valley map. We were in the orange shading for the first 1/3 of the tour. We made it a mile in and adjusted our boots, quick bathroom break, and checked out the view. The sign pointed out Mt Timpanogos that Cody Townsend did in the fifty project. His tour was WAY more wild than our initial outing... to say the least. Haha. Here are some of the views near the Church of Dirt on Guardsman Pass. Mt Timpanogos is in the background. More views 😍 We went out another mile to a Nordic center then turned around. We kept our skins on for mile 2-3 because it was still relatively flat and uphill. We toured 3 miles somehow and went downhill 1 mile. The views were incredible and it was nice to work the lungs & legs. Probably the place I felt least safe was when Mike put on the Atomics boots and when the other cars were trying to park. @Schif can add color to the boot story. Thanks to our watches that told us “this was harder than your normal effect.” Oh really? Working out at elevation is no joke. Views: 9.5/10 Fun: 9/10 Ability to breath: 3/10 After the touring, we hit up the Alf Engen ski museum where we checked out the ski jumps, the bobsled tracks, and learned about ski fashion. PASR people, who is best dressed here? Headed back to SLC and went out for the Schif's last night in SLC. We passed something super creepy so obviously had to share. We put our name in at Red Iguana 2 and grabbed a beer from Bewilder Brewing Company. Schif had the Coffee Kolsch and I had the Cranberry Lime Sour. Got some enchilladas from the Iguana and headed back to the airbnb to pack.
