Got there for the 9AM rope drop. Conditions were good not great. Challenge was the run of the day, nice from top to bottom. Sidewinder was also great. Razors was nice on top and better on the bottom than last week. Lazy Mile and Main Street were a little disappointing, a little sugary and a little scraped when I hit them about 10. Got a pretty good gouge somewhere. Have to do some base repair tonight. Left around 10:30.9 points

Correct. Officially booked, staying in a 1 BR at Village Square which looks to be a few hundred feet from the American Eagle lift. Not quite the ski to the door we had at Steamboat last year, but I suppose I’ll manage.5 points

Had a really fun day up at BB yesterday. The sun came out and it started snowing about 2 runs in. Got 14 runs in. They had the Merry Widow lift running, a new park set up on Freedom and had a couple rails set up in the plaza and Good snow as always. Best day up at BB so far this season.5 points

I would probably go, Monday or Friday for the win, but i reserve the right to back out at the last minute based on weather, or like 1 other thing.5 points

Hope you guys have a great time! I’m doing 2 days at Elk this weekend so I’ll miss the PASR day since I’m only willing to drive to Vermont once.5 points

Quick edit of a run down Switchback from Saturday. The new Max seems pretty neat, allows for more interesting angles than a standard GoPro5 points

At that stage of drunkenness, probably not. But I would have bought a hot cocoa for him....[emoji41] Sent from my SM-G930V using Tapatalk4 points

@AtomicSkier what do I need to do for mod powers so I can do my part in keeping PASR free of dumbassery such as this?3 points

@saltyant he’s trying to tell you that if you ask for advice, don’t just ignore it, like you normally do, because you think you know best. @GSSucks lived there. Listen to him.3 points

Friday and the weekend could be really fun. "Cautiously optimistic" https://opensnow.com/dailysnow/utah Haven't had a powder day since March 2019 .. hoping for some good karma to kick in.3 points

Day 2 even better than day 1 as fresh snow continued falling, all lifts now open and we did a bunch of trees runs. Day 1: ski conditions 10/10, overall 9/10 Day 2: 10/10 on both fronts Ties with rare super fine days in past years for the best skiing we have experienced without boarding a plane and certainly better that quite a few days in CO/UT/NV too.3 points

Walt and pops are gonna be in the house on Monday Feb 8th so I say we start there. Elk day may look different this year with lodge closures, social distancing etc. but never the less its a good day of skiing with the best group of skiers the keystone state has to offer. Whos down?2 points

@Ski2Live Live2Ski was a true bro tonight and let me know when he cancelled his Hunter reservations. Unfortunately this weekend is still sold out. 😕 F5 F5 F5... will continue to refresh...2 points

Salty I skied whiteface in 1994 and 1997...not many places in the east that you can ski 3200+ vert in one continuous run. Killington would require XC skiing for that and mount Washington a lot of hiking.2 points

Salty I said I like whiteface better than gore and steamboat (I also said to you directly that I'm probably in the minority on the steamboat thing). I never said it's flat out better than vermont. My skiing in vermont is limited to Stratton and Killington and yes I'd opt for WF over those 2 any day of the week. I've yet to ski Sugarbush, stowe, smuggs and jay so I'm certainly not the judge and the jury. You're gonna get me in trouble with Moe and some other folks on here so stop acting like I'm the foremost authority of all things east coast skiing dude when I'm far from it. Go to WF and form your own opinion and stop saying shit like "well ridge said this" or "ridge said that". My personal opinion...I don't like pods which is why I like WF over gore. I like having the option to ski the full 3k plus vert multiple different ways. That's my preference. Everyone's different.2 points

@RidgeRacersays Whiteface is better than Vermont, I believe. It has the most vertical on the east coast and is not crowded. Plus it's far north so I assume it gets great pow often On top of that, it's very reasonably priced. $97 a night for a hotel in $69 for a lift ticket. I doubt you can beat those prices (midweek) anywhere else For me, my priorities are excellent snow and no crowds. WF checks those buckets so as Ridge says, well worth the 6 hr drive. Also, I understand Gore's layout is more like Killington - a wider mountain with less vert. I'll likely ski there my last day.2 points

Correct. I don't just go for the skiing, I go for the whole experience. Sometimes I sit in the lodge for 45 minutes and just vibe and take in the atmosphere while drinking a hot cocoa with mini marshmallows and then shred double black diamonds full of moe ghouls.2 points

burger for lunch, then up the tin can gondola to the top of the olympic downhill for first run of the afternoon! but seriously, go up that sketchy little gondola, the views from up there are amazing, and it's a nice steep, wide, smooth groomer from the top all the way down to the base.2 points

That’s an excellent question that my wife knows the answer to. I think a rental of some sort. I’ll take a picture.2 points

@saltyant just make sure if you go to Snowbasin you make it up to John Paul for a burger for lunch, or to end the day.2 points

Stop putting hunter mountain in your stats when you are in Vermont. Where did you ski in Nevada?2 points

So let's see who I pissed off today... I owe RidgeRacer, Rummy, GSSucks, AtomicSkier. Probably did something to Toast. Just keep a list and I'll bring some gifts for all my wrong doings.1 point

Nah keep posting. It’s keeping me occupied before my 2pm appointment and I found your post where you kept mentioning ridge to be very informative. Thanks and you’re welcome anytime boner city1 point

I actually prefer Gore over Whiteface. It's a big mountain with some of the best glades in the east when there is natural snow. There are also a lot of pods that spread the crowds out. Not that there are usually any crowds to speak of there compared to Vermont. Not the best place for snowboarders as there are some traverses getting between some of the pods.1 point

I would for a PASR day, especially in a rare season like this where I don’t have a late January JH trip planned.1 point

People seemed to arrive after 1030. Early am was great, but a lot of areas turned into piles of sugar. Ended up lapping Razors a bunch of times.1 point
