The WFH situation has afforded me the ability to do something I’ve wanted to do. Spend at least a month in Colorado. One week in Telluride (with a day trip to Silverton) with @NMSKI and @Johnny Law, 4 weeks in Crested Butte, and a week in Aspen. After that, who knows. Today started that adventure. I departed 6:10am to dumping snow on 78. It was slow going for 30 miles or so. Finally broke free of that and set the cruise and relaxed. I had about 860 miles to cover to St Louis, my planned overnight stop. I had forgotten how beautiful the views from the PA turnpike are. Ohio is pretty flat, Indiana is a narrow state, and Illinois is just flat farmland. About 14 hours later, I crossed the mighty Mississippi and arrived in St Louis. Long day of driving, but I was in no rush. Stopped at least every two hours. Tomorrow’s destination is Denver to visit some friends. Should be at least an hour less driving tomorrow, but nothing really to look at. Might encounter some snow on my drive, but only an inch or two. Only picture I took today was at a random rest stop in Illinois of the car. It’s filthy, but kickin’ ass.10 points

After my peaks pass got epic’d last year, I went with the Indy pass this year. It’s cheap and a good way to experienced new mountains. The snow by this time locally was still iffy and I figured I would head north. Catamount always interested me, it’s on my my pass, why not. They had some cool looking trails on the NY side as well. Being that the mountain is split in half by the NY/MA state line, I took the exit after hunters exit, and headed east. The mountain sits up on the taconic ridge, and is owned by the same people that own Berkshire east. It’s clear they have invested as there’s a very nice new lodge. They also had private sheds for the ‘rona safety. I never waited in any lines, right on the lift each time. The trails I wanted to ride never opened, go figure, despite the website saying they were open. The mountain also felt like camelback but without the circus, as there top few hundred feet of vert was steep (some unopened trails were very steep, then a ton of runout. Due to the steep stuff and the longer blues not being open, I lapped the ridge trail that went from NY to MA, then down some easier trails to play around on the side hits. They started to setup a park, but it wasn’t open. I’m glad I went, but probably won’t go back. If I lived nearby I would...probably go to belleayre or drive a bit further north to magic or bromley. Next stop, blue knob. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk10 points

Past 2 days were sooo nice. Coming Soon lots of fun, there were a few rocks sticking out by end of the day yesterday. Not sure it will be open this weekend. Had a marathon session yesterday, on the snow at 930, had a great tailgate break, more skiing, more lot. Didn’t leave until 5. VIP line on 6 moved quickly. Won’t be there this weekend, picked up a shift for bonus $$$. Have fun everyone. ⛷🏂5 points

I’m jealous. I’ve never had a bad day at whiteface. Either powder or spring conditions. Tied for favorite in the east right now with smugglers notch. Whiteface might win due to lake placid area being awesome. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk4 points

@NMSKI @AtomicSkier there is a local realtor here in town who has a website 14erskiers.com. He also has a FB page. Always posting some good pics for stoke. He posted about the late afternoon opening of the High Lift yesterday with some good pics of the terrain. edit- I just realized only Jeff will be in CB.3 points

Walking to the gondola, another skier moved the barricade so he didnt have to walk all around the maze. No one said two beanie words. Then I did the same exact thing 15 seconds later and everyone started throwing a bitch fit. I said "well he did it so I can too!". The guy said not to make him look bad he's old so he can do it, but I said I'm lazy so that's a good reason too. Off to a grate start!!3 points

Fun festive atmosphere tonight with great snow. At 9pm the 6 pack line was almost back to the turnstiles. Run of the night...sleepy hollow to main, cut over to switchback. Blue with snow off piste is a different world.3 points

TFTI. I had a lot of fun driving cross country. Ohio sucks, and Indiana and Illinois arent bad because they're relatively short. Kansas goes on forever, but I thought it was nice seeing just vast nothingness. Be sure to check out the Wizard of Oz museum along the way2 points

Cloudspin was closed, I didnt see a sign for Cloudspin Cut. My final top to bottom run was epic. Upper Skyward in the clouds, moguls on Niagra and Victoria, then Off Broadway for more moguls, then Boreen and thru Bobcat Glades as a nice finish. Epic rad gnarly day!2 points

Probably more are successful at it than you think...and it depends on what you define as successful ....Do you think he edits his own vids and uploads them...Not a fan of Patreon and marketing shitty product..I wonder if they really use the stuff they market..and rarely do you see them give a bad review on stuff that they were given to try out and review... He's still annoying...2 points
-
Is he really a pro?.......If being a YouTube vlogger makes you a pro then I guess he is....He hawks shitty product on his channel cause Chinese manufacturing gives him cheap products for free....It is the same with most YouTube "influencers" no matter what the sport...and like Atomic said he is quite annoying..2 points

BFPD! New PASR acronym Bluebird Fucking Powder Day! Today was my best, most fun day of this season. Snowed 8” overnight. Today is trash day and since my plow guy didn’t come before I left, getting my trash can over a 4’ mound of snow the street guys left for me made me late. 2 full buses went by and a regional bus from Gunnison stopped and said they could take a few. Got in line at 8:31 and (for CB) there was already a decent line. first run down Paradise and OH. MY. GOD. It was deep! Lots of hoots and hollers were heard. East River had equally good snow, but after a few runs the lines started backing up (again, CB lines, but I am now spoiled). Went down to Teo and lapped Bushwacker for a bit, guess what? Good snow there too! Then ended doing some laps near the Umbrella Bar. Some was groomed, but under the lift was fresh. Ended the morning with 11 runs and tired legs. Heard lots of avy bombs going off near the North Face lift. And according to the paper this morning they are trying hard to get it open by President’s weekend FYI @AtomicSkier. Right now I just can’t seem to wipe this smile off my face.2 points
