Got to Greek Peak around 8 15...did a couple runs on the black diamonds under the Express lift (iliad and whatever is next to it). Snow is great. It was cold last night passing by the mountain so I wasn't sure how it would be. Grooming was really good on the first few runs...heading over to the east side now. Looks a little more ungroomed but should be fun11 points

Woke up a beautiful morning in Denver after a great dinner and celebratory drinks with a college buddy who just had his first child and just landed a big new job. Went for a nice 8 mile run on the High Line Canal Trail. Hit the road around 9:15am enroute to Telluride. It was 50F when I left under sunny, albeit windy, skies. About an hour into the drive when I was on a plateau the crosswind was over 50mph, causing insane blowing snow that I was losing touch with the car that was pretty close in front of me. Luckily that only lasted for about 20 miles. I really enjoyed some of the sweeping passes on the way to Montrose 😀. Quick stop in Montrose for some food, and then hammered down to Telluride. Weather is beautiful here. Settled in, just waiting for @Barb to drop by in a few. Yes, @Barb. Don't want to be accused of leaving out @Barb. Also, @skiincy should be here in an hour or so.11 points

Hey All, I’m back from another fun morning at Blue mountain the true mountain. I arrived at the lower lot at 710am extra early as I anticipated a snowy drive. It was in the upper 20s and the snow began falling around the opening bell. Challenge was an absolute carpet...so nice. I skied challenge again and then hit up Switchback three tones in a row. The first hour was less crowded today than yesterday and then the crowds arrived and the line for the six pack was about 10 minutes. I went over to the Main Street list for one run via midway to little gap to Burma. Not much of a line for main steeet chair. I got a run on x-into and it was sweet. Back to the six pack the line was was out of the corral. I ended with nightmare to Dream Weaver for something different and my first time on it since it became a park. That run is totally ruined and the booters are giant. I hungout in the lot while the snow came down maybe 2” total looks like maybe a little more in the Lehigh valley. Also in the house was everybody except Kyle, Shadows, zonked, Root, angryhugo, ridge, Atomic Jeff and MBike. JADIP9 points

Went for a night session with the family and it was fantastic. It was a comfortable 28° with the clouds moving out. I haven’t had no crowds in a while and we skied right on to the quad every time. The kid is crushing it and after a couple Paradises we moved to Lazy. Snow had a couple scrape spots but was still mostly loose fresh goods.9 points

Today felt like a true winter’s day skiing with the freshies coming down. Montage is in fine shape thanks to last week’s nor’easter. About 1”-3” fell while we were here, just enough to make the surfaces feel nice. Upper mtn looking nice in white! We took a few runs down the NASTAR course. Here’s tinymoose waiting in line to smash the gates. Looks inviting, but there was a crust of melted/refrozen snow just beneath the surface. Nice view from Lower Fast Track. Large bumps on Boomer. Best snow was on White Lightning. Nice slarvy turns were just what the doctor ordered. Nice outdoor food setup at mid mtn. Those tents are for rent, $199 a day. SMH. Beef stew for apres. JADIP. Super duper fun day...Made a trip down Coming soon which turned out to be better than I thought it would...Stuck to skiers left and didn't really see any bare spots....Bumps were nice and a little bit of a work out ....You could pretty much bomb down every trail....The only pics I took today was chasing Schif down challenge...9 points

Quick snowshoe this morning. Lines were long yesterday on the cams and I knew they would be the same today. Kinda windy, but the views were nice. saw a group of 4 guys who were skinning and they ascended behind me in this pic on the slopes to the right. Looked pretty steep and unstable and we heard some “whumphing”. According to CBAC there have been numerous natural and triggered slides in the last 2 days. eating a quick lunch and then heading out to Telluride!7 points

Another trip in the books to my fav mountain. Was on mountain Mon-Fri and I thought the lift lines moved pretty good considering the covid protocols etc... If I had any disappointments it would be Casper Bowl was closed all week. Did one hike up Headwall on Monday. Friday might have been the best snow day I ever had. It was just dumping all day. Free refills! A couple laps out the gates on Why Not and Rock Springs lines. Many thanks to my buddy DJ for guiding us. Even the ladies went for the small huck off Mikie Likes It. Not much for photos or videos sorry but we just went after it all week.6 points

Today was sick, in running out of superlatives for the skiing this week. Crowds got crazy but that was expected, shit is skiing like western groomers so I can't blame them.5 points

So, hearing that Belleayre got 24" of new snow last week, still having unused ORDA cards and Superbowl on the horizon, we decided to do a day trip to Belleayre, especially since more snow was coming. The timing of this new storm and its general direction couldn't have been more perfect. It was coming from south west in the morning, was supposed to dump 3-5 inches in NJ and Catskills during the day and then just disappear into the Atlantics. So, we've left the house at 5:15am and by 8am were at the mountain having seen not a drop of rain, not a single snowflake, only dry and empty roads. The mountain wasn't supposed to be open until 9am, but all of the lifts were already spinning. It's nice when the management actually anticipates that people may be coming to ski and starts the lifts not just when lines build up, but way ahead of the opening hour. By 8:30 we were on the slopes and seeing that some blue jackets were already going down started asking around about if it was OK for us to ski as well. "Go!" - they've said: "Go, while the crowds didn't come yet". And so we went. And as it turned out later, the crowds never actually came. The grooming was impeccable. Same beautiful carpet as I've seen at Blue last Thursday, except that there was just more of it. And the trails stayed good not for an hour and a half, but for the entire day. It was really unbelievable, at Blue lately I can't help but notice that my sessions started to get shorter and shorter because people get smarter, lines build up faster, and snow turns into crap sooner. Here we a-priori decided to wait out the bad road conditions on the mountain from 9am to 4pm, and initially had this idea that we HAD TO ski all day until the storm has passed, but it turned out that we didn't HAVE TO, there was no such feeling of being trapped on the mountain, we didn't count the hours until it was time to leave. We just skied open-to-close and enjoyed every minute of it. It started snowing around 9am. At times the snow was heavy, at times light, I think the total amount of precipitation was less than forecasted, especially in Catskills, but regardless, it was just such a great winter day. Is there something else one could wish for? Sure. Good roads on the way back. And we've got them too, all plowed, no slush, door to door. Woo-hoo!4 points

Just spoke to the Herminator.... It's still snowing at Elk. 3-4" today. He'll meet you in the lower lot around 8:00, no need to gather at 7:40 that's a little too early for him. Conditions are exquisite..... Should be a Good Day. Request to the Old Forge Pizza experts .... I thought I could pick up a tray of Red Meat Lovers on the way. I've never stopped before.... Can someone suggest a Pizza Shop? Also, will it be open Monday?3 points

False I have spent multiple Saturdays with her during my JFBB days. The families we are up here with were and are involved with the ski team. She’s a nice normal person and married a normal guy, he’s a former teacher.3 points

Absolutely. Beacons shovels and probes. Even inbounds this mountain demands your respect. At the end of Thursday we fished a skier out of a creek where Lower Sublette meets the cat track to Union lift. It looked like the hazard was marked off,but he totally yard saled it. 😢 when we came upon him i thought the worst cause it looked ugly. I am not medical person but I asked him what day of week, where are you, etc ... He insisted no Patrol but we accompanied him back to base. Not a mountain to go solo2 points

Pretty empty for a weekend. Longest line so far was like 3 min. You'll like it. A little smaller than blue vertical wise but it skis pretty big. Good amount of trails and glades2 points
