I will be the first one to make a comment in like 2 pages that isnt shitting up this awesome thread. Im super jealous. Just not the year for me to be there though. I mean, even conditions from the Villa look awesome. But as @mbike-skisaid, i would be in way worse shape if i didnt have like 5 stellar days here in PA in the past week. looking forward to more pics. And, i'm having Tacos tonight.9 points

I had to mix in some work today. š my life has been a vacation the past 52 days so I really donāt mind. (yes, thatās the correct number @GrilledSteezeSandwich. Thanks for keeping me accountable.) just as @Barbwas starting Taco Tuesdays, I headed out for ski tour. I missed the PASR dinner pic but the tacos were still delicious. Came out to what looked like the pool boy getting us ready for a Hot Tub Time Machine. from the house, you head down this ice lunge and the ski trail picks up at the fence. You ski about 0.25 miles down to the Chondola / Sunshine Lift. I put on the skins then went up the Lower Sundance trail. There was 1 group with dogs but didnāt see anyone else touring. I may try to go during the daylight tomorrow. Headed back to Econo Lodge to belly laugh until your abs hurt, hot tub, and steam roomāed it up.9 points

Skied 6-8, lapping Paradise and Lazy with the fam. Got half of a run with Marty but didnāt see anyone else. Snow was decent with just a couple scrape spots in the high traffic areas. Crowds werenāt too terrible, lots of kids. I was spoiled at Elk Monday with zero crowd and miss the empty midweek nights of old now. Back at it tomorrow morning, hopefully with some fresh snow overnight.5 points

Both correct. They also dont have a reservation system at all, so inherently this is the outcome. There are people on here that bitched about going somewhere that they would have to make a reservation for. " i aint gonna do that bullshit" is the quote if i remember correctly. At the same time they are the ones bitching about a line up at a ski resort they have no intention to ski at anyways. Its very infrequent in life that you can have things both ways. This is a prime example. Lets just get used to the fact Powder days = lines. pretty much anywhere.5 points

True packed powder day. No teeth rattling frozen cord today. No ice at all. 16 degrees, mostly cloudy. East Mountain lift mostly full, but no line. Quad not running. Soft cord, Elevator, Challenge glade, Mad Tree glade all looking good. Spent my time on the groomers. Challenge was nice and consistent, Tbolt was groomed with rollers before the drops so could get some air if you wanted to.3 points

La Casita terminal C? Pops and I just ate there. Can confirm quality.3 points

Yes. Its idiotic to think putting a whole bunch of trucks and equipment on the road when they are calling for snow, will somehow be a good decision. sometimes i need to remind people of this. Plus, i am long over making a 30 minute ride home into a 2 hr nightmare.3 points

NMSki shines on the Rocky Mountain steeps..at Blue he looks ordinary. @saltyant youāre better at pole planting3 points

Wifey and I got Moderna vaccine last Thursday at Weis in Brodheadsville. No unusual reaction. A couple weeks after second shot scheduled for 3/4 and we should be golden (except for the South Africa variant).3 points

You come up in conversation often among PASRs. We'd love to see you again at some point so take care of yourself man and don't be a stranger.3 points

Thatās your choosing...just saying what I know from following the largest news story of our lifetime for the last 11 months. My friend got Covid bad..her baby dad and kid didnāt get it and they live in the same household..but maybe they had it and no symptoms as they were not tested and kid was sent to school. Shit is bananas. I think teachers should be in group 1A especially since like 2/3 of them are back in the classroom to some extent.2 points

The problem with that demo list is that there are only 5 skis that are more than 5cm longer AND 5mm wider than your current ski. If you really want to find out what works best for you in non-ideal conditions, trying three skis from this list isnāt going to do it. You need more variation between them, and away from your current setup, IMO. By all means demo in Utah. What I would really look to do if I were you is get on as many sticks as you fit in for free from fellow PASRs, especially next month when the spring condition crud shows up. A ski you can drive through the heavy sugar piles on a 55 degree day on Mont Bleu is going to serve you well in most other situations. You can always keep the RTMs for perfect western groomer days.2 points

It is true that like 50% of Atomic Jeffās days out west are Perder days...might even end up more than that after this trip.2 points

Itās cause they often sell kids meals at a much lower price point then the equivalent adult meal as an incentive to get families to eat there. I bet there were chicken tenders on the app menu, at a much higher $/oz price.2 points

Atomic Jeff will disagree with me but a lease is the most expensive way to own a car. The interest rate is much higher than financing.2 points

Saying 1-3" for Reading tomorrow. Not really enough to get excited about, but it should add to the base on the sledding hill at least2 points

You can ski my E88s if you like, and also the Monster 108s. They both have demo bindings. Iām hoping to have the Souls this weekend, tracking says they will arrive tomorrow but Iām skeptical. If they do Iāll take them up Friday for mounting.2 points
