  1. Left 8:41, full wipeout on ice walking in boots 8:43, caught the bus 845. Waiting in line 856 and got 5thish chair. Sunny days and the groomers feel nice with a little dusting yesterday. Went Paradise to bear to lower ruby and is becoming one of my favorites. Up paradise since east river has a delayed opening down to SQL again.

  2. Yup, I was up at hunter sunday and got 20 laps in. I think longest we waited in line was probably about 10 minutes for the flyer once or twice. Even though it was crowded, it just didn't feel as chaotic as blue does. The more I ski elsewhere, the more I'm getting tired of shitshow at blue.

  3. You can have the worlds best equipment, but if people arent trained on it properly or use it properly, its just really expensive steel.

  8. Same, he is a little different maybe in that sometimes he's super hyped to just rip endless runs on razors and seems to exit his car helmet on but everytime I've talked to him he's cool. I had work shit in the morning and came up for the Miami vice edition. Saw bfg leaving as I was arriving, dude puts in marathon sessions. Weather is perfect with a high chance of getting brozed up. Snow was good bad . Challenge and switch were perfect slushy carpets, everything else was hilariously slow. Full tuck on side and you were half way down the trail before the ski was up to carving speed kinda snow. Everywhere they blew is like freezer burn kinda snow. Thinking another bake should make tomorow better but still a beautiful day to be out and I did run into the mystical shaman himself the dude.

  14. One of those new groomers looks an awful lot like one that was broken down on the side of Razors for a month....

  15. Sounds right. When I am on an extended motorcycle tour around 300 miles a day is enough.

  17. I think I did 3 on the Flyer and the rest pretty evenly spit between west, north, F and D (the double to right of Flyer). It was actually the most I ever skied in a day by just a hair - a little over 24k vert - and put me over my 400k for the season - also a personal best, though I expect to hit about 550k this season unless some of my plans get cancelled.

  18. Tomorrow night and Thursday night are shaping up to be magical blue mountain spring night sessions...warm temps, soft snow and low crowds. I'm fixin to be there.

  19. Less than 10% are fully vaccinated most just don’t give a fuck about Covid anymore..I really don’t it’s called Covid fatigue. I just think it’s weird how much pushback there was from the centrum silver crowd about booting up at their car. @NMSKI

  20. Ok so I had a hot tub at my place in Winter Park and honestly it was a hassle. Extra expenses to keep it maintained and renters always were spilling beer in it and breaking their bottles around it. Crested Butte requires some kind of additional permit to get a hot tub, they limit the number and they are expensive. So tell @mute1080there is a large “soaking tub” in the bathroom that he can put some epsom salts in and kick back. Thanks for using the coasters! Do you guys flush every time or are you a “if it’s yellow let it mellow” sort of bunch?

  23. Hey All, I’m back from another fun morning at Blue mountain the true mountain. I arrived at the lower lot at 8:25am and it was in the low 40s under sunny sky’s. In the house were BenM and Bethlehem ford guy. First civilian chair with the darth Vader guy and began on challenge which was so nice..perfect smooth fastish cord..Razors was similar and sidewinder and Switchback were also very nice and smooth. Crowds were super light and no liftlines beyond 5-6 chairs worth of people. By about 10am things started getting sticky especially on the flats like tuts lane and home stretch and the steeper terrain had some light chip but still super pleasant. Main Street was the only run that wasn’t that good. Skied 10-11 runs by 10:30am and I was sweating like I popped a molly, ate spicy food, sat in a sauna or went through a field sobriety checkpoint...wooo. Was in the mid to upper 50s when I left and today was the first day I had the AC blasting on the way back from skiing. I also matched my number of days skied last season today. I’m sure I have another 20 days or so left this season..boom shakalaka..

  25. I ski as much as I wanna ski....there’s no day that I can’t ski at Blue..if I could only get up once a week an hour and a half wouldn’t do it for me. In Jackson hole and Colorado I ski 3-4 hours most days and I’m cool with that. I’ve been making a ton of turns on my new Kastles like five to six per run woooooo

  26. seems like they usually shut down mid april from what i remember in years past back when they did a promo for passholders of other mountains and i'd do a late season weekend up there yeah we rode the flyer a few times, lots of laps off that triple (F?) and a few on north and west, but the snow over there kinda sucked compared to the stuff on the front side. expand your horizons, ski some bumps, make some turns, there's always something to keep it interesting and progress your skiing

  27. I certainly ski less vert most times I ski PA. One day at Frost this year the lines were so bad I gave up around 4k, and Liberty was so dull I gave up before 5k. Often also ski less vert at the places with nice enough conditions for me to want to venture into trees or bumps regularly, as they slow me down considerably.

  28. I’ve has many 60k+ days at Blue and Stowe and one at Jackson hole back when I was young. That’s still really good and you usually aren’t at the mountain at opening bell.

  43. Headed up Paradise after lunch and visibility was gone. Was going to call It there but the bottom vis wasn’t too bad and gave it another chance on Silver Queen. Wasn’t as bad at the top and found a couple inches of fresh snow. Lapped Monument to International with some snow hitting above the boot. Caught the 245 back and a remix of Whitney Houston “I want to dance with somebody” is currently playing thanks to DJ @AtomicSkier.

  44. VIP line was good when they filled the lifts to capacity. As a single I could board a lift with minimal waiting regardless of how long the main line was. Now it's just another line though if you get a decent worker they'll let more than 1 VIP groups board at a time.

  45. Damn. If Bear thinks they can make it until April 3rd then Blue could easily extend beyond that if weather cooperates. it would be awesome if Blue's closing weekend was SP only.

  46. Hard to see unlimited skiing as over priced when it costs less than 6 weekend 8 hr tickets - and includes preferred lift access which doubles the runs one can get per hour at peak times. And they match their closest competition Cbk. The only thing I would fault them for on pricing is not offering a cheaper option good only nights and weekdays - as Cbk does.
