Hey All, I’m back from another fun morning at Blue mountain the true mountain. I arrived at the lower lot at 820am and it was foggy with the temperature in the low 40s. In the house were BenM, Rodney, BethlehemFordGuy, Darth Vader, TP4 and a few others. First run on challenge was delightful soft soft smooth and fast smooth. Razors was similar and Razorback was nice. Sidewinder was nice and empty as was Switchback. Like 3/4 of my skiing was on fresh cord which was great. Main Street held fresh cord on the top half an hour into the session. I managed 7 runs in the first hour which hasn’t happened much this season. Ended with tuts lane to x-ing to Lower widowmaker to midway to little gap to Burma to shuttle to lower park. It’s now 57 degrees in south Whitehall and be over 70 real fast. JADIP10 points

Just leaving, today was sooooo nice, I think yesterday was slightly better but low crowds and 72 degree skiing is tits Mcgee. Sidewinder, razors and challenge I thought were the best and I ran razors like 4 times. Tomorow I think is the last warm day, going to be interesting that first day it sets up. I5 points

Might bring the nice camera out this weekend and try to get some action shots of PASRs on the slopes4 points

Luckily still mid-high 40s on Saturday, plenty of sun, and we’ve got the late season sun angle working in our favor. Here’s hoping for soft snow and short lines. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk4 points

I worked with a guy whose wife tracked him using "find my iphone" and she was always giving him a hard time. One time he had to go to the pet store at lunch and his wife questioned him hard core like he was having an affair or something. I remember hearing him say "Bitch I'm trying to buy some fish food, give me some space!".4 points

this is good and all, but when can we expect the sick, full edit video for your trip?4 points

Right? My wife sent two requests through iPhone “Find Friends” to be notified when a) I leave Blue Mountain or b) arrive home. Both got declined. 😂3 points

I learned to ski at Belle Mt. in Lambertville in the mid/late 70's. They kept skiers from sliding into the street with haybale walls, every once in a while someone would ski into one. Those walls stopped a lot of runaway skis from going into the street. I remember many winter nights sitting in a car in the parking lot across the street with friends, partying and watching for wipeouts. Another lost ski area was on route 611 in Pipersville pa. at the intersection of route 413 and route 611. I remember it being called the Pipersville Chalet. The ski area closed long ago, but the lodge is still an operating bar/restaurant.2 points

My mom got her first shot Monday at Lehigh Valley Cedar Crest. She logged in to her account last week to get something for insurance and noticed they had appointments and snagged one before they were gone. Lucky timing for her.2 points

yup, crowds chilled out around like 5:30-6ish and the wait wasn't much more than 5 minutes after that. There's a turn on switchback that was pretty much completely in the dark; very reminiscent of night skiing at blue in highschool when the lights would randomly turn off as you'd ski under them at least seven times per run. Good running into @Johnny Law, did about 10 laps with him. Sorry I missed ya @RootDKJ!2 points

Thanks, also check out that action shot of Ski2Live. That day I drew a "I ❤️ CB" in the snow on the garbage can and Camelback featured it in their promo video. I was also in that paparazzi picture. You can tell it's me by the GoPro on my helmet. Toast thought I was the rainbow hatted woman for some reason.1 point

I bought the Garmin inReach mini and am very happy with it. The battery lasts forever and it gets coverage everywhere. I do almost everything alone and it's less worrying to have one. It was a bit unnerving seeing the missing hiker posters in 2019 when I hiked 13 miles alone in Glacier National Park. A minor injury can easily turn fatal if you're far from civilization with no cell service. And unless you're doing hardcore camping or backcountry, all you need is the cheapest plan.1 point

Don’t worry @GrilledSteezeSandwichi don’t want to share a bathroom with you. My place only has one so I will pre approve all guests. But maybe when you come to CO next month we can actually meet up.1 point

As of right now my plan is to get an Epic pass because of east coast options and easily getting to JFBB for a change of scenery if I wanted.... and I really want to get to CB next year with @JFskiDan if @Barb will let me. I could easily make both passes worth my time so I guess it is just pulling the trigger on one. For ~$550 the Ikon pass is a pretty great price with my student discount. I'm Curious what the Epic will be. I guess we'll find out in 2 weeks.1 point

Gas fireplace and I can’t control that. But I can view and control heat from my app. Maybe I will turn the heat way down tonight while they are sleeping just to mess with them. 😈1 point
