Well ... thanks for a great time @skiincy @Barb @NMSKI @Johnny Law @mute1080. After some change of plans (and a shortening of the trip), @mute1080 and I left @Barb's house at 6:02am, enroute to the Gunnison airport for @mute1080's return flight. I pointed the car due east from there, with the goal of reaching the St Louis airport for a quick night sleep. After 15h of driving, covering 1060 miles, I arrived. Few hours sleep, I was back on the road at 5am, needing to cover another 870 miles to my house. It took >14 hours on the way out there from my house to STL, so I was determined to cut that down. Even with some stop and go traffic in the Harrisburg area, I made the trip in 12h and 55m. Elapsed time from CB to my house was 34h 55m. It's time for some bourbon, and a good night sleep. The good/bad/ugly to come ... Coming over the top of Monarch Pass yesterday AM ... Some nice scenery on US 50 heading towards Colorado Springs... Leaving CO 😔10 points

Oh, hello everybody. Super spring morning up at Blue. Soft snow, plenty of sun, and a few great runs with @Benm and @C1erArt to start off the day.Coming Soon is pretty much melted away at this point. Surprised it was open for as long as it was this year. Thanks Mother Nature. Low crowds, spring snow, and a rocket launcher lip on falls made for a quite enjoyable morning. See you folks this weekend!10 points

Beautiful spring day at whiteface, sun and corn. Skyward in full sun corn mode was sublime for a run and a half Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk8 points

Completed a short/quick session at Brighton. Only did 5 runs off of Milly, before ending my first day( nice thing above the weekday season pass). Snow was very nice and soft, but crowds were heavier than I felt like dealing with due to the recent snow and being Friday. I'm also tried after a long travel day after working in the morning before heading off to my 2pm flight at Newark(awake for 21 hours before getting to my hotel). Current plans for the rest of the trip ... Sleep/relax today, Powder Mountain on Saturday, maybe Sundance on Sunday (or disc golf somewhere), and Brighton monday-friday before flying home on Saturday. ( I will not try to top any other previous reports, but hope to at least post a few pictures)6 points

Got my 2nd Pfizer shot a few days ago and no side effects at all. I’ve know a handful of people who have gotten and only one felt like crap the following day.4 points

Well.. I might have topped salty's SLC terminal walk. 🤔. My plane did not even dock at a terminal. We had to exit the plan onto the tarmac and then hop on a bus which dropped us off on the ground level at Terminal B. Only once we walked up another ramp did we enter terminal b and were able to make the trek to baggage claim. On the bright side my snowboard bag hopped an earlier flight from Denver to SLC so my bag was waiting for me when I got there!!4 points

Just took my Libs in to get the bindings mounted....Maybe I'll bring them Sunday....3 points

Gotta get it while the getting is good, I'd ski everyday of my life if I could so honestly it's mostly what I have going on at work. I leave Sunday morning at like 8 or something.3 points

Surprised at how nice it was. A couple patches of ice near the top of sidewinder, but everything else had good cover. Main Street skied pretty evenly all the way down. Nearly got up close and personal with a boarder on Switchback that decided to cross the slope without looking uphill. A lot of little kids out when I left at 10:30.3 points

Correct. It might soften up nicely by mid-morning before it gets choppy (?). First couple runs on corduroy should be nice unless they are nothing but cookies. Correct, took them yesterday as I had to go to W-B and decided it was worth the hour drive to Blue to be able to ski Elan Ripstick 96's on Saturday morning instead of waiting until Sunday.2 points

Snow is gonna be fast tomorrow AM believe that. Don’t be dissapointed if conditions are crap and grooming is suboptimal. So did you go to blue to drop your skis off. I won’t have any trouble falling asleep tonight thanks to my good friend jack Daniels2 points

12 hours/720 minutes until I pick up my new skis from True Blue, and 12.5 hours/750 minutes until I'm on the 6 pack getting ready to rip down Razor's Edge or Sidewinder on them for the first time. Gonna be hard to sleep tonight, it's New Skis Eve.2 points

Sick bird ! I soooo wanted to get up this morning but work made it impossible. The lip on the left side of falls screams let's launch to the moon which is funny considering both I and Justo have gotten the business for doing just that. Even GSS sent like 2/3rds of falls somewhat by accident earlier this week.2 points

If you’re in 1A, check wegmans at Tuesday at 11am. They release appointments at that time. It goes quickly but everyone I’ve told has been able to snatch an appointment. use your computer, not your phone. The mobile version gets glitchy on Tuesdays when they have appointments. https://www.wegmans.com/covid-vaccine-registration/1 point

I feed 7 outside cats. Last year at this time there were 3. The year before that there were 2. Didn't want 15-20 cats here this summer!1 point

Good coverage and one of the better runs. She sure did. Almost went to Boulder to quad it. I don’t think she would enjoy the HAFE.1 point

I really don't mind the walk.. I made it a game.. see if I could walk faster than the people on the people movers. I will just say I held my ground!1 point

My gate was right by the doors to those ramps. I felt bad for anyone who had to deal with all of that. SLC airport is not for anyone in a hurry or who can't walk fast. Also, with gates on both sides of a terminal and then 6 doors on the end of the terminal that go out to ramps/buses/planes it causes a huge build up of people in a small area which is less than Covid ideal and even in the best of times there aren't nearly enough seats anywhere for everyone in that spot. That architect better have a good PR firm on standby to smooth things over with future clients.1 point

Luckily still mid-high 40s on Saturday, plenty of sun, and we’ve got the late season sun angle working in our favor. Here’s hoping for soft snow and short lines. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk1 point
