Around 11am, we were hanging out in the lot and @enjoralasspoted this gem. The dude was carrying the boots that were attached to skis. š of course, @Mixilplixis wallys favorite fun uncle. And as we stood there longer and longer, there was a doppelgƤnger group in the adjacent lot. There was a girl with the same jacket as a me. A guy was the JLaw steeze, and a guy who had the posture and hat of Atomic. From the tailgate of the pickup, they were grilling up some meats.10 points

Hey All, Iām back from another fun morning at Blue mountain the true mountain. I arrived at the lower lot at 720am and it was in the mid 30s. In the house were Toast, NMSki, Matt Edge, enjorales, tele Matt, Atomic Jeff, BenM, JFDan, Salty, Mixilplix, Mute, Ryan, Boo Bear, Justo, Rose, Bethlehem Ford Guy, TP4, Schif, Nancy and many others. First two runs on challenge were very nice followed by three runs on Main Street which was super smooth and filled with cord, Sidewinder was sugar and chop as was Paradise. Close to 9am the six pack was down which lmade for a long quad line. I did Widowmaker off the Main Street chair and it was pretty good midway and Main Street not as nice. Quad was still down and like a ten minute wait and ended up being down the entire morning. Hungout in the lot for a little while Toast, Atomic Jeff and salty went bike riding. I party rocked last night combined with the time change I didnāt sleep much so was tired and happy to be back ready for a nap. JADIP6 points

Pretty fun day on snow! Did some magic carpet laps in the AM and the kiddo is starting to figure out how to stop on her own. Luckily still fascinated by the magic carpet. Dropped her off at my parents for lunch and a nap and went back up for some sunny slush laps. Main was a bit sticky, but everything else was soft and still reasonably fast. 2nd jump in central is still really fun. Got a few grabs back that I havenāt done with any spins in a while, might be time to take it past 360Ā° again now that itās warm and sunny. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk4 points

Yeah, the 6-pack definitely picked the wrong time to go down. With the race going on it looks terrible on the webcams. We've moved to slow lifts as soon as they stopped the 6-pack, hoping that it wouldn't be for long, but they've never brought it back up, so we ended up lapping Main St + Burma until noon. Burma lift was spinning all the time, but what's crazy is that they periodically just stopped loading it. People would pile up, they'd temporarily start loading Burma, but as soon as lines become reasonable, they'd stop loading until it gets crazy again. A-m-a-z-i-n-g. It seems like BM just enjoys the sight of huge crowds on their mountain, so let me post this webcam shot for posterity.3 points

You passed me on the edge of The Falls and I saw you catch mad air. WTGAI. New skis were very fun on Challenge once it softened up a bit by 9 am. I think I'll enjoy them on any groomed run so I don't really have any thoughts on skiing them at Blue vs. Snowbasin. I went out for seconds around noon, and Challenge was still really nice but there were some icy spots. While the Jerries were falling left and right, I was still ripping down on my Ripsticks and the ice didn't really bother me like it did on the RTMs, JADIP Ice is Nice3 points

Fun 8-1 session at Mountain Creek this morning with my cousin riding the mashed potatoes. They are definitely hurting for snow with a lot of bare sports.2 points

Even with gimp knee bumps were $. What a wonderful day. On three consecutive rides up double today had to step off platform twice because clueless folks loaded chair behind me and third time had to carry up ski of person who ate it on chair prior. But the bumps today [emoji7] Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk1 point

Hey All, Iām back from another fun day at Blue mountain the true mountain. In the house was everybody except Johnny Law, NMSki, Mute, Falco, Enjorales cousin, Ryan, PSYFlyGuy, Zonked, Mart Edge, VTMarknand Kyle. The temperature was in the upper 20s when I arrived at 715am and Salty was parked in the wrong row hoping the ski shop would open early. First civilian chair full six pack challenge was smooth but a little chattery..Main Street and lazy had fresh manmade and sidewinder softened nicely in the sun, paradise was fast and empty. First 45 minutes or so the quad was down and amazing how long the line for the six pack was because of it. Not crazy but an almost full corral. Once the quad started running lines tapered down. Coverage is anazing consifering the 70 degree weather we just experienced and the sun was bright. I enjoyed some chips, fruit snacks and pizza in the lot and beer and got to chill with Wally a little. JADIP1 point

Well ... thanks for a great time @skiincy @Barb @NMSKI @Johnny Law @mute1080. After some change of plans (and a shortening of the trip), @mute1080 and I left @Barb's house at 6:02am, enroute to the Gunnison airport for @mute1080's return flight. I pointed the car due east from there, with the goal of reaching the St Louis airport for a quick night sleep. After 15h of driving, covering 1060 miles, I arrived. Few hours sleep, I was back on the road at 5am, needing to cover another 870 miles to my house. It took >14 hours on the way out there from my house to STL, so I was determined to cut that down. Even with some stop and go traffic in the Harrisburg area, I made the trip in 12h and 55m. Elapsed time from CB to my house was 34h 55m. It's time for some bourbon, and a good night sleep. The good/bad/ugly to come ... Coming over the top of Monarch Pass yesterday AM ... Some nice scenery on US 50 heading towards Colorado Springs... Leaving CO š1 point

I feed 7 outside cats. Last year at this time there were 3. The year before that there were 2. Didn't want 15-20 cats here this summer!1 point

It was a great way to end the trip. Snow report listed 5ā but the sign at the lift said a foot of fresh snow. Depending on where you were with the wind, it was both. Took the 830 bus and there was a little crowd for the Silver Queen lift. On the lift shortly after 9 and went down paradise to the paradise lift. Little wind blown on top but boot deep fresh in spots lower. Down it again to Lower Treasury which had untouched snow. Wasnāt the lightest snow and made you work but it was grate. Down something else to SQL and said byes to @AtomicSkier. Kept lapping woods, bumps, and packed pow until my legs hurt. Pretty much stayed Horseshoe to international area down to SLQ with occasional runs to Paradise lift. Caught the 115 back and the roads in down were already dry. Had a ton of fun and my legs are worked. It was a good day.1 point

Today was our last day at Wolf Creek on this trip. It snowed 11ā yesterday and there was plenty of untracked to be found in the trees just a short traverse off the Alberta lift. Also the ridges were nice and smooth with wind blown powder on all the aprons. Iāve been having fun on the ridges which are an easy skate traverse from the treasure lift and jumping off of some small cornices. Mostly skied the fresh powder in the trees today and was finding shin to knee deep powder even until lunchtime. Skied with the fam after lunch and drove back to Albuquerque. So glad we experienced a low key area with great snow and terrain. No crowds anywhere all week either. pics from today1 point

Nah..it just means I had my kid with me. I was a bit annoyed on Monday though...tried to order from smoke signals online..didnt work. So I figured we'd drive over, walk in and order. Door was locked but they were open. So I called and they put me on hold for 10 minutes said f it..let's just go to the Mexican joint. Mexican joint is closed on Monday and Tuesday so ended up getting pizza. Cool thing though is that it was dumping in townand people were just out and about. Having a great time in the snow. Shops were open....just a really cool ski town vibe.1 point
