  1. Miss all you guys already. This winter is going to be extremely memorable for everyone in the world and we are lucky enough to have positive things to reflect on. Cheers to another fantastic year at Blue Mountain and many more to come!

  2. RAW session last night from 6:45-9. Conditions sucked and the place was full of 15 year olds, but it was still fun as hell to get out one last time, and my 30th blue day this year

  3. Great day. Triple dip session, hit 8 runs in the morning session, out for drinks and piz courtesy of @PSUFlyand then Pops and I went back for 3 more runs before relaxing in a set of the adirondacks having a drink for about 20 waiting for the boy to finish with his camp. Turns out with the schedule shuffle he ended up being the only one in the group, and got down Main Street today so he was stoked about that. We went out for 2 more runs with him and he chose Switchback and Paradise, so ended out Blue, and probably entire season.

  4. Just got back from the mountain, departed about 6:30pm. Spectacular end of season day and conditions. @mbike-skidefinitely wins the Poach of the Season award!! Rode up with him and Nastar Glen late in the afternoon and to start it off, we got the red char, so we knew something was up. Rolling over Sidewinder, mbike yells out that's going to be his final run of the season. We get to the top and a couple of SP are futzing with the rope. As we loop back around, Micah is talking to the SP, probably trying to talk them into letting him run Sidewinder. Then outta the blue, mbike ducks the ribbon right above the SP!! Slim yells out for mbike to get some and SP yells at mbike to stop! I just couldn't stop laughing at the entire episode. It was GRATE! Many laughs were had in the parking lot afterwards. Also had some chuckles w/ @AtomicSkier and @toast21602 getting reprimanded in the lift line by some decrepit SP for poaching Sidewinder, when they didn't even do it. Then some snowmaker reprimanding the same SP for who knows what. Yet more laughs! Snow and bumps were hero everywhere you went today. Just another day in paradise!

  5. Great day to end the season. Limited terrain but great snow. Soft and could edge early, got real soft but held up. Mostly boarders and park rats. Incredible tricks and flips by the boarders in the park. Great vibe all in all. Music on the patio and sunshine. JADIP

  10. Was one of BC's best years; record number of season passes. Sold out because of limiting ticket sales to control the crowd. Probably saw more families than ever this year.

  11. I also saw post on IG, park riders still gather at the top of B chair at closing, and hammer SP with snowballs 🙂. I actually did a night session there in February, place was PACKED with middle/ high schoolers. Demographic hasn’t changed, but it was still a lot of fun.

  12. Per wiki A coup d'état (/ˌkuːdeɪˈtɑː/ ( listen); French for "blow of state") or coup is the removal and seizure of a government and its powers. Typically, it is an illegal, unconstitutional seizure of power by a political faction, the military, or a dictator. So it can be argued you implemented a seizure of power away from SP and your political faction is that of the parking lot tail gate peeps. Right on brother! 13. Hard to find a better vaccinated group (with the exception of @saltyant) ... hard to find a PASR in the parking lot who hasn't received at least their first dose.

  15. Hey All, I just booked my airfare for my Colorado skifari in three weeks. Airfare has actually got up a little on southwest but I had some credit to apply to this and with early bird check in my out of pocket is $99 roundtrip for direct flights from Philly to Denver. Just have to book rental car and hotel now. I’m psyched to finally go somewhere after 14 months of being in PA...I’ll use this thread to post updates of my trip and as many of you know from my past Colorado skifaris...it dumps when I’m out there...

  16. Hey All, I’m back from a fun session at Blue mountain the true mountain. In the house were JFDan, Atomic Jeff, Mute, Boo Bear, Ryan, Schif, Falco, Eddie, PSUFlyGuy, Charles, Salty, Mixilplix, Mrs Snowbunski, Kurt, Toast, Justo, Rose, TheRealKT, Antman, Enjorales, Pops, Indiggio, Nastar Glenn, Ski2Live and many more. Second civilian chair today in the six pack VVIP line. I would consider the snow to be variable spring conditions with groomed hardpack, corn snow and frozen crud dominating..I did an almost tour de Bleu today hitting Paradise, Lazy, Main Street, Switchback and even widowmaker from the top and just lower to midway to little gap to Burma woo what a run. The parking lot was fun had some chip, fruit snacks, pizza and beer. Temperatures were in the 40s rising to the 60s under sunny sky’s. JADIP ski everybody at blue in 8-9 months.

  17. I apologize in advance for formatting and grammar issues as I cannot get the website to upload photos, so I’m using the app on my phone instead. By looking at the weather forecast, it was pretty clear that the season is coming to a quick end in our area. My indy pass didn't get much use, and I really wanted to check out another mountain I normally wouldn't go to. The original plan was to go on Thursday to magic mountain in Vermont instead, but they moved to weekends only and I'm glad I didn't wait. Berkshire east looked cool, and there's dispensaries nearby, so why not. I left at 430 and made the 4 hour and 30 min drive with ease. no traffic, nothing. The weather got warm and it ended up being a great day. I had never been to the Berkshires before and the area is really cool. Small mountains, but has a way different vibe than the Poconos. After driving along a crystal clear river, I saw some ski trails. The mountain reminds me of plattekill in the sense that there isn't really any runout. There are 4-5 fall line trails that cut straight down the mountain with good pitch. There are a ton of glades and smaller trails that are obscured by the trees. This place is classic New England. there is really only one trail I would consider wide. the lodge and outdoor area was pretty cool. They had one lift running which was their carpet loading quad. Since the mountain is pretty steep, lift rides were never long. I started with the runs of to the left and right side of the hill. There are two really long trails that meander around the back of the mountain and around. Really fun long cruisers. The conditions were soft spring snow, or pure ice. The ice was easy to just ride around. The fall line trails down the front rode like plattekills as well. Just straight down, and not too wide. After reflecting on my day, I realized my favorite days on snow are at ski areas like this. I definitely have a type. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

  18. This is going to be me, I hate to say, Roundtop tickets were insane this year and I didn't go there once. I drove the extra hour to the poconos every time. Probably going to give in to Vail and buy the dang pass but I am seriously concerned about what crowds at Roundtop/Liberty/Whitetail will look like next year - Indy+Bear Creek $25 night tickets is the other option. Highest price I paid for a lift ticket this year was $59 for Plattekill.

  22. This is a really cool area. Skied there a number of times. If you go overnight they own a really great bed and breakfast right across the valley looking at the mountain. Restored old farm. The pizza joint in town is really good too. Mount Snow is only 40 minutes away too.

  23. Thanks Toast for the ticket. Nice to say hi to all of you briefly, though I remain most comfortable in masked gatherings. Nice conditions today for what the weather has been - and much better than Hunter today from all reports. Got in 12 runs, with my fav (the one I did 2x) being Widowmaker > Chute > Main St. Good to be back at Blue after 2 years. Hope I get some decent conditions in New England Thurs-Sun. Sounds like there could be snow Thurs.

  24. Grate end of the season at Blue...razors kinda sucked but good overall conditions. Thanks @mbike-ski for the pork sandwiches and @mute1080 for the beer. Hopefully see some of you guys in the off season. I have a few extra kayaks so always up for that...or beers, and probably join a bike ride at some point
