  1. Henderson said the entrance of Vail in Carbon County also has been a positive at the two ski areas, which hadn’t received much investment in prior years. hmmm, some might disagree.

  2. Abasin is no longer requiring masks. That bodes well for next season at Blue. Will be awesome skiing maskless again.

  3. probably the last time i was there as well. it was cool when they were still doing ski movie premiers there, but their beer list hadn't changed in like 5+ years as of the last i was there. food was standard brew pub stuff, nothing was bad, but nothing was really good or exciting either. can someone buy BMDI and turn it into a B&B? by that i mean bed & brewery. place would make an absolute killing during the winter, and probably be good enough to survive during the summer.

  4. And then there are the big, circular hand washing units, typically in the center of the bathroom where you step on the ring to allow the water to come out. I've seen people using them as urinals before, whether they did it on purpose or just didn't know it was for hand-washing was always the thought.

  5. Barley Creek is crap but there is nothing else around so it makes it decent.

  6. They have a trough at the maingate nightclub in Allentown. Also at the J Birney Crum stadium where Allen high school plays at. I asked this gay guy I know if he’s ever stayed at the YMCA and he said STFU...I was like really you can get yourself clean, have a good meal and hangout with all the boys..seems like a fun place to stay.

  9. I have a friend that did that as recently as 2006. You'd hear splashing and know it was time to vacate the area.

  10. I’ll keep that in mind.

  11. The parking lot at the top of the mountain is a great make out spot. Then you get tacos on the way back.

  12. I did some work in Mexico City and the men's urinal in the facility there was just a gutter in the floor with some water running down it. The shitters were just 5 gal buckets with a toilet seat sitting on top. It was up the to user to "flush" them out.

  13. wrote barley creek off when they went curbside only and didn't offer the fried cheese curds. taco place across the street (or something like that) is pretty good. can also pick up ski gear right next door if you're in the mood for new stuff.

  14. Ha! Trough urinals used to be way more common I think. I'm old enough to remember that at any school or sporting venue there was basically just a bathtub looking thing that everybody lined up at and peed in. I remember when I went to Australia in 1999 they had a different kind of trough, which was just a silver wall that everyone peed on from standing on a step.

  15. That YMCA has/had one of the few trough urinals I’ve ever seen in my life. I was also an 8 year old floor hockey legend there...had a hat trick almost every game

  17. Classic. I never scheduled this appointment, got my second dose at CVS this morning and receive this text as I’m leaving.

  18. Pre Covid I usually wore a scarf on a flight. Multiple uses; someone busts ass, you can put over your nose, trying to sleep, put it over your eyes.

  19. Masks on planes is pretty smart, I might even consider it in the future just to avoid getting a cold or flu when traveling. I’m always nervous about getting sick for a big trip.
