Looking forward to a new season, retiring end of September so looking at 4 to 5 days per week skiing! 2 days at Bear for Mountain Host and re-aquainting with Blue, Jack, Montage, Elk and getting to New England! Maybe get lucky and meet up with you guys one day at Blue.
I'm posting this right now from a classroom at Villanova. No masks. The school built a secure portal where I had to upload my vaccine card by August 1 or I was dropped from my fall classes. The current policy is that all students need to be vaccinated unless you have a legitimate medical or religious exemption. If you are not vaccinated you'll be subject to regular testing throughout the year here.
I gotcha, there’s even a thread on Teton gravity titled Covid and the college student. The kids that graduated from high school in 2020 I feel for..they missed proms, senior fun stuff, graduations, college orientations..normal college freshman year and now the next year is in jeopardy for all students.
I picked up the Indy Pass so the PowMow tickets on that and some places in Idaho swayed that decision. Plus the "local" places within an easy drive from here. It opens up some interesting possibilities to explore places I wouldn't think of. Even if I don't get to use it out west I will still be able to get my moneys worth out of it here.
And just to note, the vast majority of those who are vaccinated, got Covid, and are hospitalized (which still is not very many people) have significant preexisting conditions.
Decided to pull the trigger and update my touring setup. DPS Pagoda Tour 106C2
DPS having their dream sale now and got some Dynafit bindings on sale as well. Bring on the snow!!!
This is the covid thread is it not?? I wasn't going to but now i'm posting numbers every damn day now just to piss you off. Enjoy.
The reason for me posting was to illustrate the large increase since the beginning of this month as Dan pointed out. Hard to move on with your life when the CDC is talking about restrictions again...not to mention what does this mean for school in a month.
Not great considering on July 5th, it was under 100. I hope this doesnt get out of control so i can move on with my life like TP4 suggests.
Are we really gonna bitch about every little piece of news you find on the internet about Biden, or how the price of gas went up by .02? Just curious. Talk about not "getting on with our lives"....... Seems like you have some issues letting go as well.
Show your table to the kids and parents of kids who have asthma and ask them if they give AF. Not to mention the multitude of 12 to 17 yos who want it but can't get it because their parents won't consent.
Yeah I hear that.
I got so much joy out of vaccinating people because everyone was so excited about it and and helping get to where we are today, but now people are just miserable and incredibly rude. I'm about to stop doing it because it isn't worth the hassle of listening to these people. At least they are getting it...
Kids under 12 arent actively choosing not to protect themselves. They can't because they're unnable to get vaccinated. If an anti vaccine person gets my kid sick I'm gonna be pissed the F off. Not to mention school last year was a nightmare. If it's virtual again it's gonna be a problem for a lot of families. If it goes sideways again it's a huge problem.
