Looks like Downingtown is pretty much surrounded by all water at this point, and downtown Coatesville on business 30 has water up to the hoods of cars. Here I Got 5 buckets going but the ceiling is holding strong so far1 point

Fill up the bathtub / large bucket with water, pour it into the tank when you want to flush. Repeat as needed.1 point

Yeah I'm anticipating a power outage. There were a lot of branches down on my way home and it wasn't anywhere near as windy as it is now.1 point

There are two new developments near home. I'm looking forward to see if their stormwater management systems work well!1 point

They will probably do some promotion where you can add a mountain to your pass for $XXX, I can't image they would let money sit on the table like that...1 point

Ask @skiincy where she got hers. They come with a screened lid and hose at the bottom.1 point

i can't remember your pic, i think it was barrel shaped (maybe 55g)? you can prob get those at home depot. i've only looked on craigslist for a food grade IBC tote (also called water buffalo). nothing close has popped up. range from $40-75 used, 275gal. i'd only use it as grey water tho even if it's food grade (toilet, power wash, etc).1 point

knock on wood the electric has been the only major problem so far. roof leaks can happen to anyone, so that doesn't bother me too much. my diy rain catcher system seems to be working TOO well. min 60gal already and i don't even think it rained that much yet.1 point

Holy crap. Your house sounds like a disaster between the electric and the roof leaking. Makes our internet problems seem very minimal. Good luck tomorrow.1 point

Looks like I’m getting vaccinated against my will. Pretty pissed off but I’m the best man in a wedding requiring vaccines. Wanna get the J+J so I can be one and done. Completely bitch move on my part, but I’m a very selfless person and will just have to suck it up and go against what is in my best health. I hope the vaccine gives me Covid and kills me, so on my death bed I can point my fingers at the world and on my last breath yell “I told you the vaccine was bullshit!”1 point

The no water thing sucks ,as does the huge repair bill. in my old house the ground line from my panel to the meter was corroded, things were really weird. Huge surges like lights dimming when something would start, like the fridge, and then the computer speakers would pop and crackle.1 point

Seen that kind of stuff numerous times over the years, when houses loose the neutral and their electric service uses our bond as a ground.0 points

Yeah, I get that. We can’t find ER techs to work at our hospital. Starting pay $13 an hour?! Are you f@cking kidding me?! Aldi starts at $21 an hour.0 points

There is a 50-50 chance that at this time tomorrow, I will walk into my storage bedroom to see the ceiling completely collapsed, had some nice new leaks during the 30 minute red cell last week and it is starting to bow. Luckily my sleeping bedroom is leak free. Getting buckets set up around the house tonight0 points

sort of. i lost half pow. whatever uses 240 wasn't working, not enough current. like a bad leg but not really, issue is the main breaker. so, we have power on all of the low voltage stuff so that's good. fortunately the fridges and freezers are still working. no water though is what sucks the absolute most. wait nevermind, what sucks the most is shelling out 2k to replace it.0 points
