  1. I would agree, to a point Disagree. Everyone knows your statement is based solely on no high speed lifts. I think the argument between which is better is determined by daily conditions/crowds. A powder day (lets pretend Blue closes due to "weather, ok?) with a decent base off trail, hands down, JF. Suck up the short runs, slow lifts, but the rewards are actually some pretty decent skiing, off trail. Enjoy a beer in the lot afterwards. Every asshole in the world will go to Toe that day too.

  3. Should be some more chairs up for grabs in the next year or so.

  4. Agreed! People are talking about drinking in parking lots at Camel, Blue, and Red Roof Inns... but showing no love for a DG! This one was just built to the left of the quad peak (as you can tell by the Coming Soon trail sign)

  5. Nothing says Apres Ski like a DG (rhyme intended).

  6. The news that they are putting in a new (probably used) lift does surprise me a lot. Most surprising thing i have read here in a while. I dont want to see BB go to the wayside, specifically since its a prime location for another DG.

  7. Hopefully they will be a lot faster than the existing snail lifts even without being high speed.

  8. And a lot less lifts that fall off the tow rope.

  10. Sure, but does JFBB have a camel mascot that you can high five?!?!?!?

  11. Disagree...at least on Jackson Frost.

  12. Camelback is still better than JF/BB

  13. I bought my Blue pass for Blue. I for one dont care for Camelback, Blue would like have to be shut down on a powder day, and possibly giving out free beer and snacks for me to show up, pretty much. Even at that, i think they should also carry my skis for me if they even think about charging for parking. But, i do agree with Dougs statement that more people would probably go to Blue from Cameltoe, than vice versa. thats the only thing that bugs me a little about that deal. But, on the flip side of that, if that guy that was a Blue doing the bumps, does work at Toe, then maybe we can finally get rid of @indiggioonce and for all.

  14. It's like going from the Waldorf Astoria to the Red Roof. (Insert obligatory Salty confused face here --->)

  15. I'm going to guess that in a year or two they will offer some kind of pass where it's $$ for Blue or CB alone and $$+200 for a combo.

  16. Probably. I don't know why people would go from the best mountain in PA to one of the worst.

  17. A DG on the access road would be clutch. Right @RidgeRacer

  20. You don't put in a new lift at a mountain you might close in a few years......

  21. No, but they have a lift they let you jump off of.

  22. Did you have to split it with his daughters too?

  23. That was one of the best days of my life. Too bad @Ski2Live Live2Ski was an hour too late but at least we got to split a hot cocoa.

  24. I’d go for the double high five and pretend I’m the Eiffel Tower with the mascot.

  25. Longer runs at camelback as well...you just don’t get much skiing or speed in at JF and I did have some fun PASR days there.

  26. This season I have season passes for Blue, Jack Frost, Big Boulder, and maybe Camelback!

  28. If I had to guess I'd say the Blue agent was correct on the dual mountain pass usage. Would be shocked if it were valid at both...at least this year. I'm kinda where BenM is in that I guess it's a nice to have but option but probably wouldn't use it unless I had to. What would be fantastic is if a dual pass sent more weekend warriors to CB. Of course the opposite could happen as well which would suck.

  29. Only reason I would want to go to Camelback would be if they allow uphill travel...

  31. who knows. i don't trust any chat agents and i wouldn't put it past blue to have KSL embargo the announcement until they have a chance to release (and sell) a flurry of new season passes -- especially if they'll be priced higher than CBK. but....

  32. thanks for that. this is what cbk just told me. edit - answered no to any upcoming press release or announcement

  33. Per Blue’s online customer service, passes bought before the merger won’t be good at Camelback.

  35. They better release more passes or a lot of our row is going to be missing this season.

  36. This is grate! Maybe the Blue Mountain dog mascot and the Camelback camel mascot will make sexy time and we'll get a brand new mascot for both mountains.
