Purchased 2 - 2 day passes to Arizona Snowbowl. After skiing the 2nd day plan is to drive to the grand canyon. Staying on the south rim that night. Stoked!

I keep clicking on this thread when there is a new post expecting to see "big news from Blue" nothing but disappointment .lol

Did they actually limit the number of passes sold this year ? I find it hard to believe they care how many people are out on the trail and it seems like a Debeers artificial demand thing. It will be interesting to see what happens the next lean year where demand isn't so high.

i do to some extent, but its not something i obsess over. kind of like gas. need gas to make car go. Nothing really i can do to make the price of gas different, so i dont worry about it.

At least they aren't leaving money on the table

Thats it. its a great market if you just want to sell, and live in a cardboard box somewhere. to sell and then buy makes the higher sale price a wash.

Well good that they’re still available because one of the people who hadn’t purchased pass yet I just messaged to see if he got his and he’s been busy with work and is going to buy in 20 minutes. I said if there’s any issues just say you were trying at 10.

i don't think anyone there knows what's going on. first the thing went haywire and kept giving errors, then they announced it was sold out around noon, then sometime between 1230 and 1, they went back on sale and are still available.

Facebook has created this weird sense of entitlement in people, I don’t understand it.

That's why I snagged the pass as soon as possible since I'm planning two trips this year to any Epic resorts. I spent way more on individual lift tickets last season than the cost of the Epic pass this year.

Almost guaranteed! Planning to hit the Warren Miller movie next month which includes a lift voucher to Vermont’s southernmost resort.

To buy another house that the price is jacked up 30k-50k haha. But I have no intentions on selling.

Everything was 20% off in store on Tuesday. I just got some base layers for Maine. Going in February- it’s gonna be cold. Kid got a new helmet. I’m thinking maybe it’s going to be hard to get ski items later in season. One of the sales people said they got very little new skis shipped in.

I dunno. I'd be willing to bet that you'd get a day skiing in Vermont at Elk this year.

Ha...must be a sign. If you plan to stay on the East Coast this year 4 days at either Stowe, Snow, Okemo and Hunter would pay for the pass....

next time ask if they price match, virtually all of them do. fwiw, some stores will sell in-store at a higher price than on their websites (typically MAP). new boots good for stoke tho regardless 👍

I'm probably going to fight the crowds at the Blue mountain tent sale next weekend to pick up bindings for the new skis. Seems like a no brainer to get them there if they'll mount them for free.

Im glad i bought/sold in 2019, before things went completely stupid. I did really well selling mine, which was just dumb luck that i bumped into the right person that just wanted to buy any house in that neighborhood, and paid me more, and had zero contingencies to ensure she got it. i probably would not have ended up in the house i ended up buying, which would make me sad. A friend was buying during all of this, he was going after houses towards his max number, but after being outbid by tens of thousands, he had to change his strategy to go after houses $50,000 below his max. that was what finally netted him a house.

Well, its on FB, so it has to be true. Honestly, i dont really care either way. I have a pass. might not work when i need it to, but i have one. I also think the days of passes under $600 for Blue are behind us.

Unfortunately I'm booked up all weekend when it's playing in PA.

I came close to pulling the trigger on Epic the other day before the price hike, but I think it will probably be an almost all local season for me this year.
