Great seeing everyone and fun to be back on snow. Best thing I heard today was having a hand written note as a pass to get on the lift and it worked [emoji23]6 points

Hey All, I’m back from a fun morning at Blue mountain the true mountain. I arrived at the upper lot around 820am and it was in the upper 30s under mostly cloudy sky’s and it was breezy. In the house were PARidge(not forgetting you), Atomic Jeff, Toast, Mute, Johnny Law, tele Matt, Bethlehem Ford Guy, BenM, Root, Miller, Antman, Slim, Indiggio, Rodney, Enjorales, Pops, Charles and many others. Im guessing about 100+ people for the rope drop and Atomic Jeff got ahead of me early in his low tuck..you know hands forward ass up...some kid passed me near the bottom and somebody else was in front of me so fourth to the bottom and I took it easy aside from aggressively polling and skating down vista. Snow was fairly smooth hardback. My pass worked and Come around was decent except for the features that were in the way. Midway was a bit more narrow than normal and after a few runs had some midsize push piles with hardpack in between. Not terrible except for the slow trail whores in front. Lower Main Street was better than average for opening day. Vista was nice for some cruising. They blue a decent amount of snow on Burma road but it’s not ready yet. I ended up skiing six runs in a little over an hour then hungout in the lot until 1230 and enjoyed a couple beers, snacks, pork belly and veal. Now at work for a bit just putting a couple things in the mail...seems like business is still booming...the calls can wait until Monday. It’s ski season...good to see a lot of familiar faces out today and tomorrow there’ll be more. JADIP5 points

I dont think Vail cares much about the whole first to open, last to close. Even though BB is slated for some lift upgrades, i still think Vail looks at BB like its the red headed step child. like, "ugh, do we have to open that resort?" I feel Frost fits their business model a little better than Boulder. Boulder has the whole Park thing associated with it, not that its a terrible thing, but it doesnt seem the park scene is what it was 10 years ago. As a JFBB pass holder for years, i would have absolutely been way happier to have them working on Frost first. Big fucking deal they can open Freedom in like 24 hrs. To quote GSS, its a tilted table top. Frost may have a better snowmaking system. BB is all fan guns, they dont have a compressor there any more. not that the fan guns are bad, but it boils down to pumps at that point. Plus, the past few years BB snowmaking has been problematic with algae and whatnot. Keep in mind, years past, BB was first to open, but last to get 100% open. It will be interesting to see when they start snowmaking at BB.5 points

I'll explain for Salty. Salty your name, per the urban dictionary, means the following... Salty- the combination of being both sour and bitter2 points

Salty seems like the only one not excited for ski season. Anyway he’ll cheer up when he gets the customary first day of ski season hugs from all of us.2 points

I'll be there all 3 days, can't fucking wait to see everyone and get the worst turns of the year in. Anything other that a brutal death field of cookies and I'll be disappointed. Shit is excellent though for real, 60 degrees out December 2nd and tomorow we can ski.....tits Mcgee all around2 points

A little bouncing with the Beltzville buoy. Keep an eye out for a potential pop lining up around Wednesday.1 point

This morning was ok skiing...I was fourth to the bottom and skied six runs and spent about 2+ hours in the lot having beer, snacks, pork belly and veal. Full report later with the cast of charecters in attendance.1 point

Thanks Kyle, I nominate you as official report writer in the absence of GrilledSteeze.1 point

Grate report but you're missing quite a few details. What time did you arrive? What song was playing? What was the temperature? Was there an inversion? Where they making perder? Who was in da house? Which lifts were running? Was there death cookies or pristine western groomers? What items were consumed in the parking lot? Were any reach arounds given?1 point
