I did end up going up with the boys and Pops tagged along too although he didn’t ski at all, just hung out on the Summit school hill and helped pull the 6 year old up. Started off letting Walter lap the school hill carpet while I played tow lift for Grayson pulling him halfway up and trying to coach him on posture and “pizza” on the way down. Then headed out to the Vista lift for a few Vista laps with Walter while Pops took over that duty. In the end we all had fun even if we ended up soaked from the drizzle. Worth it to see how much the boys are really getting into it. TL:DR — STFU and ski.

Best day of the season. Great snow. Long runs. Good grooming. Sunny with cool clouds.

Hey All, I’m back from a fun morning at Blue mountain the true mountain. I arrived at the lower lot before 720 and it was 35 degrees with lifting fog yielding to some sunshine later. In the house were Atomic Jeff, Toast, JFDan, Tele matt, BenM, Rodney, Indiggio, Tarponhead, Bethlehem Ford guy and Charles. First civilian six pack and Main Street was like my favorite color..butter. Smooth cord that had a slight amount of cushion for the pushing. I repeated that a few times then did some laps on tuts lane to connector to come around to midway to Main Street to shuttle to homestretch. Upper middle and lower Main Street were all so nice. Skied 8 runs by 920am and then spent an hour in the lot soaking up the sun and drinking beer. After yesterday’s not so good conditions, today was. Welcome treat. I’ll be back tomorrow AM. JADIP

This time last year I bought a new house 15 minutes driveway to driveway from Bear Creek. Being this close to a mountain will give me a lot more opportunity’s to ride during the week now that I’m back in the office a couple days a week. Also an unlimited pass was only a very reason $429. Unfortunately it’s been a terrible start to the season weather wise for Bear, but I was able to get up there today before they close dahn again tomorrow. As you can see below it’s a WROD but I had a blast regardless. Spring conditions, rail line and no lift lines. I’m really looking forward to having a pass here again and hopefully getting a decent number of nights in. If anybody else does make you way up here feel free to use this thread.

-Its 15 minutes from my house. - they build good parks and I love park riding -they make quality snow. -not high speed but they have good uphill capacity with 3 quads for a small mtn. -I fell in love with snowboarding between 13-18yo riding Bear. It’s a special place for me. What are they supposed to do? The weathers been absolutely terrible for them.

I love the crown tv show ..Utah has been super super good 8 or so today and 5 or so yesterday so really fun knee deep meadow skipping style tree runs. None of the gnar stuff has enough snow but super fun. I heard from a dude Jackson is getting hammered. Wind was solid 30+ up top all day, sultan never opened and all the other lifts were jogging at least at some point.

Got out for a little ski tour in Nederland today. Half way there I realized I forgot my skins, D’oh! Had to turn around and grab them. Nice seeing some snow finally. The last 1/2 mile to the parking lot wasn’t plowed so we had to skin a bit up the road. only saw a handful of people, no wind (amazing) and temps about 18 degrees. Did about 3.75 miles round trip which means my dog probably did double that. He was pooped. i need to find some new low angle areas. This place is kind of a pain because the last mile or so out you have to put your skins back on. It was all work with the powder so we earned our lunch at Khatmandu on the way out of town.

Hunter is grate! Very rad conditions, basically a 10/10. I got up at 4:30 am to get after it but it's been totally worth it. Not too crowded and grate perd! Current taking a coffee break at the Sonic and eating Captains Wafers and a bernaner, then time to get after it for 2 more hours. Sickbird

Conditions were quite good this morning and got better as the day went on. Left side of Lazy was excellent with the scraped off snow, unfortunately the crowds on it made for some spicy situations.

I was literally saying on the lift Sunday that I’m overdue to find a $50 bill, it’s been over ten years since I last did. I found a few $1 bills the past year or two, but overdue for something. Last good haul was $60 me and Matt edge found on switchback

Upper main was a 180 from what it was yesterday. for the first run. First run was worth the price of admission. Lazy was firm yesterday, and went to sugar pretty quick today. Upper midway, middle midway, and lower midway skied great. But lower main was deep like the ocean. Burma started out nice, got kinda shitty, then got better, then a little better, and then again got kinda shitty. Beats working. Cant wait to see what tomorrow brings.

Lastly, but most importantly, my dad was stranded in Germany from March 2020 to June 2021. He Amtraked up here for a week for thanksgiving and his 86th birthday. We talked about a ski trip overseas in the spring, but all the unvaccinated dipshits are fucking things up. When did 40% of the population go retarded? The last 5 years have been a serious embarassment and will mark another dark chapter in american history. And it's still bad.

Did you like Bolton valley? It’s likely my least favorite ski area in Vermont. It’s like skiing in PA with the drive. Short runs and not very steep.
