Get a classic car. Permanent registration, and no inspection. Nice work. Pretty much guarantees us 40 degrees and rain on friday. Thanks.7 points

Weathers finally cooperating. They have a great window right now where they can blow for at least the next 24 hours and pretty much every night this week. LFG.5 points

Got there about 930 and skied until 1130. 22° cloudy and a little bit of gusty wind blowing up the hill. Lapped challenge the whole time, one park was pretty busy and they were blowing on a closed DeMattes. Seem to be touching up the slopes before working on new terrain. Challenge was pretty flat and very firm, a little bumpy if you got moving too fast. It was nice being on the challenge lift again, and skipping the flat runout of DeMattes and one park. No lift line, but most chairs had occupants by the time I left. Some sugar snow build up on the slope. Challenge was getting a little crowded since it was the only slope served by the chair. Slope side parking was open again at the Challenge lift. Sushi and air in the tires on the way home. Couldn’t get my Slopes app to start recording, but an update when I got home fixed it. New wrist Bluetooth audio controller worked very well.4 points

The white lights on the new trail look a little weird at night. Hope they eventually switch them all over, big boulder is nice with white lights3 points

very firm. lower main was rough in particular. guns blasting everywhere so had to contend with that on the goggles also. just wasn't a very good day. burma was decent i guess. glad i got my edges done yesterday.3 points

Ben is correct Burma is decent. Maybe the run of the day as conditions are decent and I'm not getting snow pellets on my face and goggles2 points

Kind of expected trash conditions today with that rapid freeze. Glad some PASRs are getting after it. I really can't wait for some new terrain to open. It looks like there are only a few hours this week that they won't be able to blow snow. Love to see winter weather finally here for more than a day!2 points

As much as I want to be mad about the snow going south, those areas are overdue and haven’t had a nice snowfall in years. DC, Maryland, and south Jersey were the only places in the country that got screwed last winter in regards to snow, the mason Dixon line essentially separated a snowy winter from a non-existant one2 points

I still didn’t take mine in for service after it wouldn’t start last year, so I’m pushing back the other way for us1 point

Definitely aim to use both Montage days! I need to check out Blue Knob once they get a snow dump and I plan to haul it up to Greek Peak at least once also, haven't been there since I was a kid If I can pull it off I'm trying to do a spring break tour of like Cannon, Waterville, Jay, Saddleback, and/or Whiteface. I would love to check out Magic too sometime but good chance that doesn't happen this year. Too many really cool looking places on this pass1 point

I'll leave my snowblower in the shed instead of prepping it for use. That should even things out since @Benm was proactive.1 point

Ohhh that’s what you meant by meadow skipping. I was like wtf is meadow skipping at blue when I got your text. Yes, long skinny meadow and pretty thin but getting coated nicely by snow sparkles Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk1 point

It was me LoL. Slim and I swore we would ski at least 10 runs before leaving. Like making a kid eat their veggies. Then Slim showed me you could actually ski through the asteroid field of ice chunks on skiers right on lazy and if you did not bother skiing the trail and stayed in the gully all the way down was actually fun so we got our 10 and few more Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk1 point

No barely any crowds. I'll take it much better than friday. Midway is absolute trash. It's a straight skating rink. It's actually pretty dangerous. Lower main isn't bad but I'm just blasting down it anyway so it doesn't matter. Haven't skied Burma yet. Holy shit is that the sun out there on the horizon1 point

I hope so. I really don’t want to work a full week. Already had a customer today asking me for compensation because their job took five months instead of 3 months. Sure sure $100 off squeaky wheel discount.1 point

This is why the Vail buy up of all these resorts is such a bad thing for skiers. The amount of Vail apology letters for NE resorts i have seen online is Epic. And its the same letter, just like a mad lib where it says " (Enter Mountain Name Here) " Funny thing is JFBB seems to be chugging along through all of this ok, but lets face it, locally, there arent many great jobs in the area. It might be a different scene at JFBB once they get more terrain open and need to man more lifts. we will see. I still dont think they are opening tubing at JFBB. Why? who the fuck knows. its a license to print money. If they just opened BB for tubing only, they would still make bank. This kinda seems to be the norm at most of their resorts.....not enough employees, running too few lifts....etc. https://www.change.org/p/vail-resorts-hold-vail-resorts-accountable Its really ashame what Vail is doing. it will be interesting to see how Epic pass sales react to this next year. One would think there would be a sharp decline next year.1 point

Apparently they all went to Alta who has a union and better wages. I don't know if that's true but that is what the local peeps were saying. The ski patrol who eventually came down had no idea the lift wasn't running and 4 lifts never ran. I saw 0 ski patrol on the hill, no lift line people and at most 2 lifties top and bottom, most had one and the head maintenance guy was running Motherlode lift. The obvious answer is throw money at a core contingent of workers but VR is publicly traded and they don't want to show rising labor costs. Most of this week is people spending serious loot to take their family on vacation and if I was one of those people I would be fuck vail too. I don't care because every morning it's been skiing knee deep untracked and Alta got 2 inches in 30 mins like 2hrs ago.1 point
