I’ll do a good, bad and ugly at some point. The flight back to Newark earlier left about an hour late and arrived in Newark about a half hour late. I got my bags fast and parking shuttle to the parking spot fast but the drive was hell. First very thick fog made things spicy and then five lanes merged into one on 78 right after 287 which delayed things another 20-30 minutes. Feels good to have another successful trip to Jackson hole. I came back with zero dollars cash..I was down to $9 this morning and left $6 for housekeeping and other $3 for the parking shuttle. I actually only used a credit card for supper last night at Trio and my parking..the rest was cash from a cash order I received two weeks ago. I also didn’t gain any weight in JH which is nice although I’m the second or third fattest person in Teton county which isn’t good.4 points

Hey All, It’s almost another weekend. Look like back to winter time snowmaking temperatures and plenty of water in the snowmaking ponds for the guns to blast. Is anybody skiing this weekend? I’m planning on skiing both Saturday and Sunday AM..should be fast snow.2 points

I think we all could benefit from an hour of instruction from the Pastel Prince himself.2 points

Good: No falls..some say well that means you weren’t pushing it to the max...well the yellow jackets there don’t think that and sometimes you have to survive like my ugly Hobacks run but I still skied it in control the old me would have cut off larger chunks like an out of control wet noodle but I’m trying to ski well. Firstish gondola every day..8:56ish start most days. What a way to start..whisked in comfort 2700+ vertical in about 10 minutes..plenty of time for a business call, tighten boots, make sure every pocket is zipped and talk to people who know famous people or might be famous themselves. Even the occasional wallet rides the first gondola with us sometimes if he she or they missed EarlyUps and they’re always entertaining. First run down ampitheater..nobody on it..behind the surgeons ahead of the chiropractors still doctor shit..front row a mile down and a quarter mile wide you wanna make a 90m radius turn onto the Thunder lift. Nobody for ten chairs behind...every ski day..powder or cord..when it’s clear it’s fast and it’s good and when it’s low vis it’s rough but only had that a little bit. NMSki: He skis fast..always positive..always down for another beer and punctual..his fourth trip to JH..and a lot of PASRs have skied JH multiple times because it’s a place that you want to come back to. Always unfinished business. Rental Car Atomic Jeff rented a Chevy Tahoe. He’s a good Chauffeur..rental car always on fleek...no Hyundai Santa Fe..I’m sure people thought we were sickbro rippers with Utah plates or traveling missionaries who happened to be black and double black diamond skiers. More to come...a lot of good with this trip but plenty of bad and ugly to come...Stayed Tuned. and since you like pictures here’s a picture of free after skiing hotel stuff..fruit and tea..2 points

My money for smallest state capital is the “I” in Indiana. It beats out all the other “I” states because the length of the word makes it look shorter. Kind of how you can trim the shrubs to make the tree stand taller.2 points

No these are definitely more of a classic nordic touring than nordic backcountry. Should be good to shuffle around on "trails" and parks around here but I would love to get them on groomed trail and in-track sometime to really use them. 59/51/55 sidecut so more of a cross between classic and skate skis.2 points

Did you know Montpelier is the smallest state Capitol in the US? Also did you know the town developed into a center for manufacturing, especially after the Central Vermont Railway opened in Montpelier on June 20, 1849. That's over 170 years ago!!2 points

Why are you confused? I see no pics of stowe, mt mansfield, snow, skiing, ski trails etc etc. This is a ski forum not a state capitol forum. If you're gonna post a ski trip tr do it right. Now Insert confused reaction here ------------------‐-------------------------------->2 points

Excellent night. Great snow...sorta crowded. It's probably a shit show now. Only bummer was the quad breaking down causing huge line at one point. I rode the dubb once but prematurely went back to the valley...so waited in one more stupid long line before the quad reopened, then hit TCS a few times which was fun. It'll be interesting to see what the next few days bring2 points

Took out the new xc skis for a short cruise around the local park before the rain storm. Plenty of open soccer fields and a nice trail loop there. My dog joined in on the fun too, and took a nice shit mid ski. These things are FAST and fun. They glide so well and grip on inclines fairly well too. Even managed to go over the trampled footprints just fine. The Alpina boots fit perfectly and are so much more comfortable than I expected. I estimated well on the pole length too. Truly™️ excited to take these out with @Mixilplix @mbike-ski and others the next chance we get!2 points

Picking up the slack here. Thought I saw JL, BenM and Toast, probably others. Cloudy and cold to start with, but the sun came out around 10. Everything in very good shape with the quad running. Challenge was smooth, Razors was great without any marbles. Third run down, the lift line was beyond the gates, so next run headed over to Main St. Didn’t notice any major stoppages on the quad. Main St., Widowmaker and switchback were in excellent condition, but things started backing up on the double chair. After a couple of runs they started up the second double chair, which helped for a while, but then started backing up again, so I headed out. The six pack was just starting when I left at 10:45. Things look pretty crowded on both lifts now on the WebCam.1 point

Tuesday and Wednesday definitely awesome and off the charts. Tuesday a little crowded, but they opened the 6 pack at noon, and helped dissipate the lines. Apparently it was Chinese New Year, and a lot of schools were off🤷🏻♀️ WTF, we never got that off. Wednesday was super foggy at first, but it cleared by noon, snow was soft, and we even did TCS 3 times, snow and bumps were perfect, and I’m not a very good bump skier. We’ve had a good run of cold, consistent temperatures, hoping this rain clears out and we go back to single digits1 point

By the time they get there mostly everything will be in the cool off state and way less people will care. Everywhere is down, even the worst spots, Omicron fervor is fading in people's minds and even Canada may have to ease restrictions. I'm not making a moral argument just saying people really don't care anymore mostly.1 point

I hope you like it, I ordered one for everyone for next weeks montage trip. Not sure where that ad came from though, my search history is mostly fishing, snowboarding, beer, and boobs1 point

I guess I should login a but more often to see if anyone else might be here. I arrived last night and we went searching for good snow. Not much pictures today. Central Chute wasn’t good but I don’t think it was bad. the snow on this section (trail name evades me) under tram I thought was pretty good thanks to wind buffing. Interesting to see what the rest of the week has to offer.1 point
