Not sure how crowds will be, but conditions should be nice.13 points

Late night call to head up to Greek. Met up mbike and jeff this morning for the ride up. Got on the snow just after opening, probably 8:45. great conditions, little bit of snow overnight after 10-12” from thursday night/friday deal. Cold, and snowed lightly till probably 10:30. Nice light fluffy snow in plenty. Lift lines were a little crowded but slopes were not. Trees were nice. more later.12 points

Hey All, I’m back from another fun session at Blue mountain the true mountain. It was in the upper teens when I arrived at the valley at 720am. In the house were Johnny Law, Toast, Ryan, BooBear, Mute, nastar Glenn, BenM, Mixilplix, Indiggio, Tarponhead, Enjorales, Pops, Falco, enjorales cousin, Charles, Bethlehem Ford guy and many others. First run was challenge which was way better better than expected..firm but smooth..some new manmade made Main Street nice and switchback was smooth..lazy mile was also ok. A pleasant surprise was coming soon with the Berlin Wall being mad technical and tough to penetrate. The worst snow was probably on sidewinder but it was still decent. I was expecticing worse than average conditions and turned out to be a solid 7 out of 10..PARidge would probably call it an 8. The parking lot was cold and fun..all in all a pleasant Saturday!!!9 points

I thought today was gonna be brick and cookies...even thought about showin up an hour or so late.....but damn Blue pulled some magic outa there ass...The mountain rode pretty nice and the crowds were low...Chilly and windy but at least it wasn't in the low single digits..... https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Jhfl8wB2K9Q That Honda Kei truck was pretty novel...I see them for sale on CL now and then...I think this would fit @Johnny Law style better than the truck... https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bL_T4Lr0uu87 points

We woke up this morning to ski Breck. Breakfast was Santiago breakfast burritos .. my brother picked them up while in Denver. Huge fan if you haven’t ever tried them. Water. Advil. Water. More Advil. and left the hotel at 7:30am for the gondola lot. It was kinda crowded but the line queue was efficient. We waited about 5-10 min. we were chatting on the ride up and the random guys with us were penn state alums and Elk / Camelback skiers who grew up in the poconos. Small world. it’s been about since 2016 since I skied breck. The expansion has been wild. —— we started at peak 7 with my family. Lots of western groomer with a bluebird sky. The temps read 2 with 0 wind but it wasn’t that bad. We did a few laps on Independence Super & Freedom together. Schif dipped into wanderlust and ore bucket. But after enough groomers, we played in the horseshoe bowl area. we took the t-bar and Imperial Express area quite a bit. Super fun. we eventually meandered down ro peak 9 with goals to hit up peak 10. But by the time we got there, the chair was stalled for a bit so we switched plans & got a snack. the lines were long at the base but as long as you stayed away from the bottom lifts, the lines were no longer than 5-10 minutes. I was really expecting much worse. On the way back, we took a motley mix of lifts and ended up skiing down 4 o’clock into town.. mellow and scenic. It was mostly a trail of homes with old men in hot tubs. overall, great day and super fun. Will add pics and write more on some of the lifts. A few seemed different and new… tomorrow is likely Loveland.6 points

Most of them are not DOT legal so I'll have to figure out where he got it though it would probably cost me 20mins on the drive. Plus my daughter said any car I get must have heated seats at least for her. Today was really good, great snow when it's 4 and hasn't been above freezing for a month is easy but not on a day like today but blue delivered. I expected an absolute rink but it was good and coming soon was particularly great. First run down switch I was 1/3 down before I could believe what I was skiing and really start using the edges. Honestly I think in a regular year we would have been very happy with today's conditions. I feel like I'm jinxing us but blue has become seriously professional of late. Not only did they blow snow but it was of high quality......I keep feeling like I'm due to wake up. Excellent lot session, most good to have steeze and tarpon back.............I wonder if a hot tub would fit in the back of that truck, mobile pasr hot tub........6 points

Today was way wayyyy better than expected. Blue did a great job recovering from the shit weather. TCS was my run of the day. If @Johnny Lawdoesn’t own that Honda truck by the end of the season I’m going to be bummed.6 points

What about ism is the bastion of those who are pawns of the ruling class. While we've all been busy having the same argument about say abortion or monetary theory for 40 years all the real shit that actually matters goes on unnoticed. They want you separate, arguing with your neighbor about shit no one can answer because then we are weak and the can fuck 99% of the population straight up the ass. If you take out all the crap fed down peoples throats most people actually agree on alot. Right left actually are arguing about the same thing mostly they've just come to entirely different answers as a solution. Blm/ Canada shit while it's fun and necessary to make fun of some of the stupid ass shit the biggest issue is that large portions of western society are very angry and almost everyone feels alone. Even if they are tards, whatever group you don't like, you still have to listen because what libs never get about trump is he was the symptom not the cause and he is what you got for not listening. The same is true for the right with other issues but all of it hurts all of us not just left or right.4 points

First run tentative down challenge expecting $hit but pleasantly surprised. Indiggio waved me into quad and we did not leave TCS for a long while. Did not enemies drop into Trotsky’s trench until last run down TCS the headwall was so good.Migrated over to west side, did a ‘Crows only’ chair with the boys to boot. Unexpectedly fun day Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk4 points

Surprisingly good day considering. One survival run down Freefall . Went down Barneys and stayed there the rest of the afternoon. It was comical watching the 6 pack top shack lifties come out the door and walking like penguins then slide down. I took one run down Freefall when I spotted the guns running. Should be sweet tomorrow although no bumps Stay out da trench for a little while a couple lurking rocks.4 points

Speaking of freezing up, can we talk about some of the massive fucking potholes that this last storm / freeze / thaw / whatever fell from the sky caused? Pretty sure there was a Chevy Sonic stuck in a hole by Lehigh Elementary that I just drove right over since the hole was so deep. It is like a war zone on some of these roads.3 points

For the past couple days, I was in Vegas for work so … I decided to add a quick Colorado trip to visit family and use my epic pass a bit. On Friday, I flew from Vegas to Denver. @Schif met me in Denver, which was super convenient since our flights landed within 20 minutes apart. Strolled to baggage claim with the 100 others waiting for the bags… My brother met us at the airport, loaded the car and headed to summit county. A quick vom break along I-70 while we adjusted to altitude and continued on. We’re staying at a hotel in summit county. The plan is to ski Breck on Saturday, Loveland on Sunday, and Keystone on Monday. more to come …2 points

Add me to the list of most pleasantly surprised. Was fully expecting and ice rink shit-show, but cruising down Challenge’s fairly smooth cord had things looking up. Decided to check out Coming Soon and discovered snow that was like skiing on a cloud. Would be nice to have snow like that across the entire mountain. Took a run down the trench to find only one set of tracks before me and some wicked good, slashable snow. Sidewinder had some decent snow with a few ice patches around. Lazy and Switch had some nice snow, but Barney’s took the cake for fun. They blew a skiff on the entire run and the headwind kept refilling the troughs with loose dust. Unfortunately got really spoiled by the snow on Coming Soon today.2 points

Near bimbo bakeries on Shantz there is one that is so large it opened my rear door this morning when I hit it. I realized it wasn't closed all the way with the ice but I thought for sure I knocked the soul out of my car when all the lights came on and 8483992 warnings went off and the door open light came on. There are so many out there you gotta 3/4 mtn road and parts of 143. It was all pretty good to the last one for whatever reason they ripped alot of asphalt up this last storm. There is one between 20th and 17th on Market St in Philly I swear to god it hit solid frame.2 points

The top third of the mountain was rock solid and as the day progressed it worked it's way lower . My last run down Barneys I stopped at the beginning pitch were the bumps start and could only plant my pole 1" . Time to quit, the last row of bumps was still a little soft but lower main was really nice . That's usually my least favorite spot on the mountain I like to let it roll after the bumps and there always seems to be some cookies or odd rollers but not yesterday . I'm keeping my equipment in my vehicle from now on I had no plan to go yesterday but schedule opened up .1 point

That's super super super good ! I couldn't even come up with something that rhymes and he was the 2nd longest serving iirc. My daughter has spent probably $200 on them so I couldn't believe she couldn't remember but that would have driven me crazy..........I need to talk to black crows to see if we can get you some crows jibbitz, that would be legit af1 point

Similar to the BLM protesters, but with 80 ton trucks, and protesting a life saving vaccine instead of cops killing blacks.1 point

Yay for Treehouse! Are you going to 'homebase' in Charlton or are you checking out the newer facility in Deerfield? I've not been to the Deerfield location, but looks pretty neat The Charlton location is such a beautiful facility... Either way.. hope you have plenty of space in the car for a few cases!1 point

Took out the new xc skis for a short cruise around the local park before the rain storm. Plenty of open soccer fields and a nice trail loop there. My dog joined in on the fun too, and took a nice shit mid ski. These things are FAST and fun. They glide so well and grip on inclines fairly well too. Even managed to go over the trampled footprints just fine. The Alpina boots fit perfectly and are so much more comfortable than I expected. I estimated well on the pole length too. Truly™️ excited to take these out with @Mixilplix @mbike-ski and others the next chance we get!1 point

Quick jaunt by the state game lands off 322 between Brickerville (501) and Cornwall (72) on this sunny afternoon. I drove through here numerous times the past few weeks and noticed how much snow was still there as of yesterday on this north side of the ridge. Lebanon valley got a lot more snow than us here on the other side in Lancaster county and it seems to have not melted as much especially on this ridge in the valley 322 goes through. Driving from home there is basically no snow except from piles or drifts and I was beginning to think I'd be hiking but sure enough as soon as you roll through to the other side of this ridge holy smokes it's winter again. More snow here than in Stroudsburg. I made my way up the hill following some footsteps and deer paths to the Horshoe Trail but the trail itself running along the top was melted out in the middle from exposure and foot traffic. Snow disappeared as soon as you get tocoming over to the South side, really night and day demonstration of the north face effect. Brush was pretty heavy in spots it was a good thing I was wearing work pants and gaiters, had to sit on me bum a few times to check my speed with not enough room to maneuver. Trees had been thinned out towards the bottom and I found some remnants of logging roads then which were quite a bit better.1 point

Short afternoon tour on the local GC to try out my new XC skis...The first kick wax I applied didn't really do much so I applied a softer wax and it seemed to help a lot...Kick wax is some really bizarre stuff..... The skis kick and glide nice ..even on slight up hills but the waxless skis do much better one the pitch gets a little more aggressive...Was just super fun to get out for an hour or so ..1 point
