It was a Sunny D day....Lots of traffic on Bagdad Blvd going to Blue...Arrived just after nine...Saw @Benm truck but no one else..Met Benm at the sixer for two runs down Switch ...Little marbled up but fast and decent...Took a run down Paradise to check out CS...Looked OK so we rode the quad up....CS had some bee sting bumps on the red side and they rode pretty good....Didn't see a soul in the ditch...Looked kinda slick...Ben split and I ended up doing about six laps on CS...Then two Main street laps which were nice.... Temps were fantastic with lots of sun.....I just adore spring skiing....Split around 11 cause I had an MRI scheduled ...crowds were just starting to build a little then...Ended up seeing TP4 in the lot....Just a fantastic morning at Blue... Bee sting bumps.. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AJBr_htF5LQ8 points

Awesome day! Start 9:15 on TCS baby bumps, went over to Barneys , the bumps were a bit fast. Back to TCS for a few more then back to Barneys. Barneys skied really well . After 1:00 back to TCS bumps had grown larger. Skied though lunch and bailed at 2:30. Last few runs were interesting, hit alternating fast/slow patches .7 points

Good evening all- been lurking here for a while. 1st - you guys do a great job keeping the forum "entertaining" and always have solid trip reports for Blue Mtn. Tomorrow will be trip 4 for me this season to Blue - last year went mostly to Elk and (1) sorry trip to Camelback. I've wanted to join for a while and saw something today on another forum that gave me a kick. The poster said freinds at Blue told him plans are permitted and approved for project this summer to add new lift at Blue. Maybe I missed it in another topic on this forum - if so sorry for the repost? I like the idea of the lift servicing the Western top as its a PITA to get accross when crowded and you want to change it up...dont like they are taking both chairs away mid mntn as that is fun to loop sometimes espically when crowds suck in the valley. Thoughts? The lift will have it's bottom terminal at the Valley Lodge. It will extend in a western direction to the very top of the mountain to where both Main St. and Burma twin double chairs end. , The existing Burma and Main st chairs will be removed, a good thing given their age.. Also removed is the short Valley lift starting just below the Mountain Lodge and going to the western summit.4 points

At least you didn’t poach it to find out it’s the worst conditions on the mountain 😂4 points

Here are some final pics from the last day at Keystone. I hiked out above the Outback Express lift with Skiincys Brother. Such a beautiful day. We dropped into Puma Bowl together and then I lost him in the trees. He got down to the chair just a few minutes after me though. I liked Keystone but it skied a lot smaller than it looks. The 2k very runs off of the front are great but realistically since it hadn't snowed most of the black trails were ungroomed, sun baked, bumps with some questionable troughs. Great cruisers though. If I had more time I would definitely hike the bowls more. Loveland Pass on the way back was amazing to see.4 points

Unless it’s roped off, or a closed for racing sign, I’d consider it open. I think they post RIP cause there are ramps with poles. I asked a patroller when the sign first went up and he said it was ok to run it. As long as you don’t drink a beer while on the slope. [emoji23]3 points

I do agree. You can't close the trail off completely and say full open. I was annoyed by that too.3 points

His report was very concise and to the point, though I do wonder what the temperature was when he arrived and who was in da house.1 point

Catamount closer to on the way to Magic than B.East is. Catamount is also on the way to B.East. I hear Cat has been crazy busy weekends though, unlike most Indy places. West is on the way to Bolton Valley which is on the way to Jay. And B.East can be on way back from Jay for a nice loop (could throw in Cat after that too).1 point

I felt like a total badass and was looking behind me for the ski patrol cops. I was ready to hightail it out of there and drive my Sonic in my ski boots on to avoid having to watch a safety video on why I shouldn't poach a ski trail that's closed for the invisible race team.1 point

We have heard alot of this lately. Friends of friends, who talked to some guy in a full face helmet, that they couldnt hear great said....... The old "Blue" is still working on the Del Boca Vista lodge. its been a "work in progress". New Blue with KSL? dunno, i mean they finally finished coming soon, that was nice. Are we getting a new lift? I'm not holding my breath. Keep in mind, they also have to work on paid parking, paving the lot, reconfiguring the lower lot to accommodate valet parking, trail expansion, updated LED lighting, and the new all you can eat (topings) at the Taco Bar.1 point

It's just for nostalgia and a change of scenery. I skied Roundtop at night a lot when I was a brand new skier because I worked in the area. I haven't been there in several years and cant wait to bomb Minuteman... used to struggle going down it. Also I've never skied the black diamonds there and AtomicSkier says Gunbarrel is rad.1 point
