Got on the snow around 930 to the sixer running which is always a good sign. 20 or so but full sun made it mad comfy. Snow is a bit crunchy but mostly good firm hardpack. Upper headwalls of razors and challenge were good crumbles where you can give it 3/4 edge pressure plus there are two sort of lips that are perfect for high speed airs. Upper main was the best snow on the hill but lower is sloppy in a classic blue way. Side has probably the worst snow with some patches, particularly the very very inside left of the big turn is boilerplate. Oddly there were almost no pass holders around, the whole time the plebe line was to the gates but ride on the lift vip. I maybe saw BFG but all of the old heads where I only know their skis and faces must have rocked hard last night.9 points

Yup, left where we were staying in the town of Volcano on the Big Island around 7am (Hawaii time) to see a green sand beach and hit Kona Brewing before our flight at 2 pm. Landed in LA at 9:45 pm and pretty much got right on the next flight to Baltimore which landed yesterday morning around 7 am. Then drove to the Sea Isle to pick up our doggo from her parents then home. Managed to make it to half time in the Superbowl before crashing. Still may head up for at least a few runs. Gotta get my stats back up.5 points

I got out this afternoon on my way home from work at Bicentennial Park and it was really enjoyable. I was hoping to get on the Nor-Bath trail but bozos took snowmobiles on it and dug up a bunch of gravel. I just cruised around the park in the snow. A few other tracks out there from yesterday. Lovely afternoon to be out!4 points

Resurrection of the best kind, I think this is rando storm 3 ? Regardless it was absolutely perfect timing to avoid a luge track. Snow underneath was not great and it got crowded fast but who cares TCS, switch, NMDW where all excellent un/low tracks. Charles's dad chili, snow, super bowl all lead to a super good level of energy in the air.3 points

welcome @billskis!! Happy to have someone else new here. Where do you usually ski? Just curious -- did Eninem and Dr Dree make you want to relive the 2000s? But instead of west coast rap, you joined an early 2000s website forum?2 points

What's up man ? Good to see your back. It's 7 out of 10 I'd say, my personal rating would be an 8, Ridge probably a 9; Atomic a 6. It's very good playful snow but it's not hammer down hyper carving kind of stuff.2 points

Late night call to head up to Greek. Met up mbike and jeff this morning for the ride up. Got on the snow just after opening, probably 8:45. great conditions, little bit of snow overnight after 10-12” from thursday night/friday deal. Cold, and snowed lightly till probably 10:30. Nice light fluffy snow in plenty. Lift lines were a little crowded but slopes were not. Trees were nice. more later.1 point

Congrats on getting married. Remember that in a year or two if things start to get boring, there are a lot of swinger couples in the Lehigh valley.1 point

Was thinking I may head up for a few runs tonight to reacquaint myself with winter but maybe not after reading this...1 point

When I used to ski Stowe in college it was never that crowded but back then Stowe was an expensive place to ski. Now that it’s on the epicpass it’s a bargain. Before Stowe was on the epicpass, season passes were well over $1,000.1 point

The 4Runner line was half that on the powder day so I went to the Spruce side. There was no one over there and the snow on Upper Smugglers was deeeeep.1 point

Parking lot was packed when we arrived at 1030 but lift lines no more than 5 min as a lot of people were here for snow tubing (which sold out) or bunny hill. Most crowded trail from top also the green one. Soft snow, 100% of trails open and all but one lift. Base depth fairly thin on some trails. Mellow ski day with my girls.1 point

Took out the new xc skis for a short cruise around the local park before the rain storm. Plenty of open soccer fields and a nice trail loop there. My dog joined in on the fun too, and took a nice shit mid ski. These things are FAST and fun. They glide so well and grip on inclines fairly well too. Even managed to go over the trampled footprints just fine. The Alpina boots fit perfectly and are so much more comfortable than I expected. I estimated well on the pole length too. Truly™️ excited to take these out with @Mixilplix @mbike-ski and others the next chance we get!1 point
