Took off just before lunch and arrived at Catamount around 3. Hopped on the quad shortly after and stayed on that side. Everything open had good coverage but the only double black open was Lynx. Bunch of kids showed up after school but it was ski right on every time. Tried to grab an appetizer and a beer but they didn’t have a bar open. We didn’t pull the trigger on $14.50 for fingers and fries either so we headed to Londonderry. 2 hour winding drive and quick stop at the motel. First time a place just left our key on the bed and door open. Tried to grab food but most places close at 8 and only had 2 options for places open until 9. Drove to Jake’s and it was closed, tried the place at Seesaw and they had a private event and said no. Grocery store said open until 9 but when we got there they had a sign saying 8 and we had 10 minutes. Doubling all the recommend times for the Hot Pockets and Taquitos because this microwave looks barely a step above an easy bake oven. My favorite part of the day is the Motel rents land in sign hell. 13 signs telling me what I can and can’t do in the room, 7 in the parking lot. It’s pretty impressive and laugh every time I find a new one. There’s even is a sign that says call restaurants to see if they’re open because every place is closed. Skiing Magic tomorrow then headed to Stowe. Stowehof called and downgraded my Mountain View room. Sad. Supposed to give 20% off because of it but they better still have the wedding 10% on top. Might try to get a gift card out of it but I’ll take that to the Stowe thread.5 points

The key to drinking and playing golf is getting to that perfect level of buzzed where your abilities aren’t impaired, but if you hit a bad shot it doesn’t bother you, and keeping at that buzz for the remaining 16 holes4 points

You have to just call these people out. I heard about people blasting music on the golf course from Atomic Jeff. Reminds me of Rodney Dangerfield in Caddyshack, at least he was playing good boomer music,”Journey”2 points

Agreed. When you got a tune at the shop and got specific questions - ask for Andy Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk2 points

Rolled in at 8:30 to nice cold clear day. Day got off to a bad start- an older patroller went down in the lift area and CPR and a lot of scrambling went on. Prayers for him! Opened a few minutes late as a result. The snow today was phenomenal; 180 degree difference from yesterday. All of the death cookies and ice of yesterday were gone and every trail was in top shape. Timberline, Polar Bear, Broadway all smooth. Grizzly still has the bumps on one side but the other side had some nice powder to turn on. Extreme was also about as nice has it has been. ROTD was Sasquatch. The wife and I hit it at least a half dozen times and the left side was particularly sweet. Left after 1 so all in all JADIP.2 points

I took the never take them out comment as “why would anyone ever want to soften the flex on their boot?”1 point

WTH, no report today? I have to leave one, if only to send deserved praises to management for running both express lifts after 10am and leaving TCS nicely groomed for mere mortals like myself. It's the number of lifts and runs I could make that are responsible for the speedy part. Slow was the snow. IDK what was that, freshly blown snow on top of the groomed surface, me being lazy and not waxing the night before, temperatures or something else, but it felt slooooooow. Other than that - great day!1 point

Hey All, I’m back from another fun session at Blue mountain the true mountain. I arrived at the lower lot at 830am and it was 12 degrees under sunny sky’s but it was in the mid teens up high so felt like Tallahassee. In the house were Johnny Law, BenM, AtomicJeff, Bethlehem ford guy and Toast. First run on challenge was decent and consistent..switchback was alright as well and razors had some nicely blown fresh manmade poe and the root rollers had poles set up to keep people from going ass over tea kettle. Barney’s bumps are no more so upper Main Street was super wide and lower Main Street had the worst new manmade snow with giant death cookies..paradise also had very bad new manmade with smaller cookies top to bottom. I then returned to Razors for a few more. Liftlines were pretty bad for a Tuesday but the VIP line helped. They really need a liftline person as lots of lifts going up with just one or two people but at least they were running the six pack. It was demo day as well and on the way out the guy in demos was saying weird shit like how he had camel cum to make you go faster. Also there was a boarder blasting rap music in the liftline right in front of us and I said like 15 times..I love this song I love this song, kicked a short freestyle and then Law told the guy there’s a new invention called headphones. All in all a fun session!!!!1 point

Golf used to be a classy sport...now they allow boom boxes and non collared shirts. Thanks Tiger Woods1 point

Another avenue you could try that's worked for me in the past is to call/e-mail Lange, they may just send you some gratis.1 point

I’ll never understand why people feel the need to bring a Bluetooth speaker somewhere and just blast music out of it, seems to be a new trend or something. Ive notice it a TON on golf courses lately.1 point

Figured out that Catamount is not far off the route to Magic for our trip next week. They still make you pay $5 for a RFID card but looking forward to checking it out next Wednesday. $42 for Boo plus $10 in reloadable cards isn't a bad afternoon.1 point

I think we went to high-school at the same time or you were before me but you are definitely right. Peeps regularly brought guns to school in their cars for hunting season. The war on covid is like the war on drugs, you lost drugs won. Not because of drugs or covid but because of the shit floating around in people's heads after 200 years of essentially a country who's economic system and grand plan for society is all your problems are group x so fuck those freeloaders and get out of society. Turns out those people be them prisoners or mexicans don't just instantly stop existing and surprise surprise we are actually all in this together. So if your neighbors are dumb fucks it turns out it effects everyone even rich people and people you don't agree with philosophicaly. Maybe I'm crazy but if so called socialism of some things keeps the place from going completely insane that's worth it to me.1 point

I might have some sitting in the basement from old RXs. Usually I would take the top one out for mid winter skiing and put it back in for the spring once things start to warm up. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk0 points
