Quite a different scene this morning as winter has temporarily returned. The conditions were fantastic, but the quad breaking down put a bit of a damper on the morning. @Benm @theprogram4 and Blue regulars all there. Sun shining. 10/10 conditions and Coming Soon and Main Street were top notch 👌

I had an expensive morning. Just renewed my Blue season pass and bought 4 IKON base passes for the whole family!

First day back, got there at about 11, half a dozen runs. Snow heavy, but not sloppy. 35 degrees and sunny. Same old, same old. Looks like they tried to widen River Shot from elevator glade to the bottom. Challenge glade pretty overgrown, no bumps on Exhibition. New snow looked pretty in the trees. The old back felt pretty good.

We don't get many pow days here at blue. But we do get nights like this with soft spring snow and a fucking awesome sunset. 100 out of 10 this evening

Was this an attempt to get up to the doubles? or did you just ride the triple for fun? I rode the triple for fun two PASR days ago when I was too drunk to drive still and needed to kill some time so I figured exploring the one part of the mountain I've never been to was a good idea.

After 19 years going to blue, I rode the triple lift for the first time ever.

For 2 kids, one nurse and me it was just over $1,750. Damn good deal! I skipped the base plus because I’m going to try for revelstoke possibly instead of JH if I can get anyone to go with me. Can always upgrade to the JH days for $200.

I would have coupled that with a new credit card signup with a high spend bonus to get some sweet rewards, lol

Wednesday 3/9 I think it was low 20s this morning. Snow was crunchy, frozen and granular. Sounds terrible but once the sun came out and the temps went up to mid 30s it softened a bit. Caught some corduroy this morning which was nice and soft. there was some collegiate racing going on which was fun to watch from the lifts. We did a bunch of runs before stopping for lunch. We got nachos to split and I have Brisket Mac and Cheese with a water. I had to call it quits for the day so I had time to hit the hot tub and drink a Beer before cleaning up for 2 mandatory work meetings. Short but good day.

Yeah SnowForecast.com is saying 9-13" Sat and 5-9" Sunday. Not sure I buy they will get all that, but will be there Sunday, roads permitting. Maybe drive up Sat eve - have refundable room booked. Fortunately Montage is pretty close to an Interstate. Only Camelback and Frost have as easy highway access in PA.

Saturdays storm could bring a foot to WF. Leaving Sunday morning for LP...hoping for Empire, lookout below, cloudspin etc. to be open next week. Or maybe I'll strike gold with the slides...of course I probably have a better chance on winning the power ball.

Great day for sure, my vehicle lost a spark plug on the way to my 11am appointment . Waited 2.5 hours for a tow truck. Gremlins won today. Still glad I managed to get out there. Morning was 10/10 .

Happy land is gone? I literally have no desire to visit JF anymore. Vail turned a once gem into a plain rock.

Yup, pull up the email or confirmation on your phone, scan at kiosk, out pops card, scoot your way on over to the lift false, there was no date assigned when i transferred my buddy pass a few weeks ago.

I ended up skipping last night...wasn't feeling the wet snow. Tonight however it's on. And I have a Feelin' that tonight's gonna be a good night. That tonight's gonna be a good good night.

Rained on the drive to the mountain last night at 5, but once you crossed over to the north side it was a winter wonderland. On the snow around 530 with mBike and Boo and it was still snowing. Wet, heavy snow and main, switch, razors were chop city. Thought it was going to be a leg crusher kind of night until we found TCS. Some untracked on top and the groomed last face was grate. Lapped that until a little after 7 and then headed out.

Last night night was fun, Coming Soon was definitely ROTN

Blue hasn’t even scheduled pond skimming yet. My guess is daily until 3/20 and weekends only after that.

i can relate. every bit of car insurance, homeowners ins (that i pay out right), some property taxes, some other insurance, income taxes, ski passes, etc, all come due this time of year. i swear i spend like twice as much as i bring in over the next 2 months covering everything. But, then its all paid and over with.....

I'm just disappointed Blue's pass isnt $1,000, they're leaving money on the table.

What’s interesting is if you purchase an Ikon pass it includes spring skiing at a number of resorts including winter park which id consider skiing at on my April Colorado skifari.

i think we witnessed maybe 4 chairs load in 15 minutes? 5-10ft. stop. repeat until we bailed. they eventually sent everyone to the not yet running 6er as we were coming off the snow. quad was still stop and go when we were in the lot. its a damn shame because conditions really were excellent

Also it is a little messed up that 70 year olds who ski everyday and don’t spend any money pay such a tiny rate while kids who can just about only go evenings and weekends/holidays pay full price.

So for the buddy pass do I just take the bar code to a kiosk or ticket window? No reservation necessary or anything?

It’s a go to for me as well. I usually get them at xfinity beforehand as it’s a few dollars cheaper, but the stand was not open last night for whatever reason. Shockingly. All thanks to Carter Hart. 47 saves on 48 shots is just flat out standing on your head

2 different people on the lift said blue is closing for the season on the 20th. I don’t want to believe it but two random people saying the same thing can’t be wrong

Just saw on facebook that lookout lift is closed for the rest of the season. I was looking to get up there in the next couple weeks. The lookout mountain area is never open any time i plan to go to WF. I accept full responsibility and I apologize.
