  1. I wasn't there either. Took the kid sledding. My boot broke yesterday so I had to dig out my old boots this morning

  2. Great conditions this morning. Western groomer conditions on most of the mountain. Blue has given us a hell of a season.

  4. If @enjoralas is ok with Sunday, I'd prefer Sunday as well. It always seems to work better for most, and we can't leave @mute1080 out. Let's plan on the 20th.

  6. Hey All, I’m back from another fun session at Blue mountain the true mountain. I arrived at the lower lot at 720am and in the House was everybody except Kyle, zonked, Matt Edge and PARidge. A ton of PASRs..first run on challenge was a little slick on the top but very nice packed powder in the middle section. I repeated that a few times then went to Main Street which was ok. Coming soon was decent but lots of people on it. I really enjoyed lower widowmaker to midway to lower Main Street and lapped that a few times. Crowds were moderate..no real lift lines while I was skiing but apparently the lift line organizer was out after 10am. I also skied a run on paradise which was nice and I was very politely told to slow down and lazy mile which was crazy with people. A fun parking lot where I had some chips and I also had a slice of tomato pie provided by Bethlehem Ford guys crew. It was their party day and even some of their wives were out. JADIP

  7. I forget...maldena rest stop or something? Had a Micky D's, deli and a coffee joint. I got a Panini, coffee and a strawberry strudel. Arrived in Lake P. My son's mind was blown when he saw the high peaks and the ski jumps

  8. We can do Sunday if it works better. I'm probably going more low key this year anyway, both in presentation and consumption 🤣🤣🤣

  9. Sunday is definitely looking like the better day at this point in terms of weather. They might not even be open on Saturday if current forecast holds

  12. Just ordered a new pair of snowboard boots...Burton Photon, should be an upgrade to the ones I'm replacing. The boa lace was shredded and while messing around with it before attempting to replace it, it broke anyway. The eyelets for the laces are pretty messed up too...might see if buckmans or True Blue wants to take a shot at replacing the lace so I have a spare pair of boots

  13. Blue mid to late this week, RAW, post time change is going to be incredible. Mark my words. Coverage is good and the snow will be soft spring time sweetness with warm temps and the world famous blue mountain sunset. It's setting up nicely. @toast21602and everyone else who gave up night sessions....this will be the week to get back.

  14. Of course. Whiteface is saying they got 10 inches in the past 24 hrs. Snowing lightly now in town... Supposed to be an inch here so hopefully more in the mountain. Tomorrow could be really good.

  15. Eaf is mourning the loss of a CV axle boot and lower control arm bushing today. I bet, the long winter and great snow at Blue are both to blame here. It was a great day, thin and sleepy crowds despite a Ski-A-Thon up until noon, but then all of a sudden it became a little too much.

  16. Skiing today was very nice, ROTD was Grizzly; absolutely fine and whether you went from it to Broadway or past Extreme it was sweet. Very pleasant surprise to see fresh blowing on the new snow- it was not sticky at all. Fluffy in many places. I skied until 11 and everything was still real nice. Hoping we can make it through the week.... maybe hit Elk or Blue tomorrow. Counting down the days......

  20. After speaking with Enjorales and others it seems that the consensus is to have the PASR end or the season party on Sunday 3/20. In this thread post what you’re going to bring to the party. I’m bringing champagne and sausage.

  21. First day back, got there at about 11, half a dozen runs. Snow heavy, but not sloppy. 35 degrees and sunny. Same old, same old. Looks like they tried to widen River Shot from elevator glade to the bottom. Challenge glade pretty overgrown, no bumps on Exhibition. New snow looked pretty in the trees. The old back felt pretty good.

  27. This morning at Blue was wet, cold, windy, empty and snowy. It was a slow slippery Saturday. I mostly skied challenge which was windblown at the top and smooth in the middle. Salty was in the house which was radical. Also Nancy and Bunski and Boobear and benm, nastar Glenn and many others. Coming soon is now groomed. I’m guessing maybe 3+ inches fell so was definitely dick deep. PASRs are really good at drawing weiners on cars but they always forget the hair which is lame. That’s it for now. Going into work and eating panera then gonna dry all my way stuff out for tomorrow which will be a lot faster.

  30. Not great conditions at Montage today. Most of yesterday's snow either blew or scraped off or froze up. Some ski instructors who had just come down WL told me that conditions on it were hazardous enough with frozen ice and scraped off ruts between them that they felt the trail should be closed, so we are gonna leave that one be today.

  32. Overall a fun day fighting the hurricane force winds and blowing snow on Challenge a few times, coupled with an ice skating rink headwall on Razors by the time we got to it. Switchback was probably ROTD as the right side seemed to hold ample blown snow, with right side of Main coming in a close second. Coming soon was a waste of time, however the Lenin trench did hold a bit of pow but was also treacherous with rocks and frozen boulders. Thanks again go out to the beer fairy, as coming back to the car during a storm to find a beverage awaiting consumption is always a pleasure.

  37. Conditions were pretty much as predicted, it was pretty nice that it quit raining and started snowing as we were booting up. Where the new snow stuck, it was pretty nice, but crazy slow. Wind was pretty interesting. Parking lot always good. Another super delicious sour from beer fairy #2. thought for about 2 mins about going to BB, but it is blowing like crazy here. of course im in the mood for a pizza, but im betting my #1 spot is closed because of the snow.

  41. Today was le tits if you love winter and dog shit weather. The first run I took down challenge was the strongest gust of wind I've ever felt at blue, it pushed BenM and I backwards for a solid two seconds. It was so awesome I did it like 4 times in a row, it never got that strong again but shit is howling up top. It was so good to have at least one last day of winter, with snow pasted on your goggles and the wind stinging your face it feels alot more like a legit hill. Snow was just ok pow but that's kinda besides the point, it dropped like 10 degrees in an hour and was 44% water. There was untracked around and it was suitably smooth what more do you need for a good day but I do think it will groom out better. I hope so because I need some wax, it was like I had the drag chute out. Major props to GSS for the soft pretzel and Mute for killer beer, all that skating I needed orange slices and juice box.

  42. Our last run down Challenge was crazy. I don't know if I've felt wind that strong at the top. It was quite the workout even getting there.

  43. Definitely a bit windy, but it is hard not to enjoy snow even if it is wet! Gotta love seeing snow in the trees again. Mid-March storms aren't going to give you the blower powwow that we all love, but they can still deliver some nice conditions. One last wintry weekend at Blue! Truly enjoyable.

  44. The picture was from when I arrived. There’s a solid 3-4” just wasn’t what I’d consider a powder day due to the wetness of the snow and wind.

  45. Great day full of spring skiing. Got to the gondola around 9am and headed up alone. Much better snow coverage from the day before. It ended up closing in on high 30s with full Sun and blue skies. The snow was soft and buttery. Ended the day with a Lake Placid IPA which was delicious. It sounds like a snow storm coming which which will be awesome way to end the trip. Minus my little Acura trying to drive home Sunday with that much snow

  48. Saturdays storm could bring a foot to WF. Leaving Sunday morning for LP...hoping for Empire, lookout below, cloudspin etc. to be open next week. Or maybe I'll strike gold with the slides...of course I probably have a better chance on winning the power ball.

  49. Wednesday 3/9 I think it was low 20s this morning. Snow was crunchy, frozen and granular. Sounds terrible but once the sun came out and the temps went up to mid 30s it softened a bit. Caught some corduroy this morning which was nice and soft. there was some collegiate racing going on which was fun to watch from the lifts. We did a bunch of runs before stopping for lunch. We got nachos to split and I have Brisket Mac and Cheese with a water. I had to call it quits for the day so I had time to hit the hot tub and drink a Beer before cleaning up for 2 mandatory work meetings. Short but good day.

  50. I’ll continue this thread with more updates from Wilmington/Lake Placid/Whiteface. March 5 to 13th. We arrived Saturday 3/5 to mid 50s and rain. It poured most of Saturday night and all Sunday. It cleared out a lot of the ground snow. Today it is quite chilly with a temp of 25 and windy. Although the sun is peeking through the clouds today. I had to work yesterday and today so no skiing reports from me today. Everyone else went out today but are all beginners so I’m excited to hear the recap of their adventures. more to come.
